Chapter 970: 317: I didn’t expect him to be an Agent Zero as well (asking for monthly votes!)

Oakland Arena had never been so lively.

The audience lineup here is almost comparable to Staples Center.

NFL rookie sensation Tom Brady sat at the sidelines, waving at the caras.

His experience is very similar to Roger’s.

He wasn’t exactly a nationwide star during college, and was only selected at the 199th spot.

Yet, in his second year, he led the team to win the Super Bowl and was nad Super Bowl MVP, becoming the most popular football superstar overnight.

When he accomplished this, live comntators exclaid: “Tom just made my skin crawl with everything he’s done, he’s like the Roger of the NFL!”

Then Reebok signed this young superstar, hoping he could further strengthen Reebok’s brand influence. If Reebok could have the best players in both football and basketball, the brand’s status would remain unshakable for a long ti.

So tonight he’s here to support Reebok’s top ambassador, but Brady is just one of the many stars on this dazzling night.

Eva Green, dressed in a black dress, sat at the sidelines; she’s Roger’s number one rumored girlfriend.

Anne Hathaway, recently popular for her role in “Princess Diaries,” was also sitting in the front row; she’s Roger’s number two rumored girlfriend.

Forr child star Scarlett Johansson also appeared in Oakland Arena; she’s Roger’s number three rumored girlfriend.

Last sumr, they all had so kind of association with Roger.

Either filming ads together or attending the sa charity gala.

As a ga superstar, any single female celebrity appearing alongside Roger would be dubbed a “rumored girlfriend.”

Tonight, they all showed up simultaneously, making their relationships with Roger even more intriguing.

Perhaps they all want to take off the “rumored girlfriend” hat and beco the official girlfriend. But upon arriving, they found out they’re not the only ones thinking this way.

Mike Breen, who used to be a substitute comntator at NBC, quipped while now a national comntator for ESPN: “Looks like the competition off the court is just as fierce tonight!”

Mike Breen wasn’t lying. When Roger greeted Eva Green, the other two looked like they could devour soone. And when he greeted Anne Hathaway, the remaining two showed the sa expression, while Abby Hornacek sitting in the front row practically wanted to claw everyone’s face.

For a mont, it seed like this place turned into a massive battlefield.

Under imnse pressure, Roger walked up to Tom Brady, only to find Tom Brady also gritting his teeth.

Roger couldn’t take it anymore: “WTF!? Tom, what’s with the face, don’t tell you’re freaking jealous too!”

Roger and Tom Brady had shot so ads together, so they’re fairly familiar and the conversation lacked restraint.

Tom Brady clenched his fists: “Why not? I’m so jealous, Roger. Look at this spectacle, see the respect shown to you by the Warriors, it’s the ultimate dream of any professional athlete! If I could have all this, I’d die happily!”

“At least you have a chance to date one of my exes,” Roger mumbled to himself, knowing that in the original tiline, Tom Brady would marry Gisele Bundchen in 2009.

Tom Brady was indeed envious of Roger. Tonight, Roger’s debut at Oakland Arena not only attracted nurous celebrities but the Warriors also prepared a special ceremony for Roger.

At the center of the sidelines, it was transford into six gigantic chairs, each with a jersey draped over its back.

Soon, five n dressed in suits entered amidst cheers, all of whom had their jerseys retired by the Warriors: Tom schery, Al Attles, Chris Mullin, Rick Barry, Nate Thurmond. Except for the late Wilt Chamberlain, only his legendary number remained, all others were present, sitting on the chairs adorned with their jerseys.

Roger walked to the five legends carrying six golden boutonnières, pinning them on. Finally, placing one on Wilt Chamberlain’s spot.

Don’t ask why the boutonnières had to be made of gold; just know the boss has money.

His only requirent for the ceremony: “Don’t let the Aricans think I can’t afford it!”

Subsequently, the five legends took a vintage No. 14 jersey and helped Roger wear it, symbolizing the passing of the torch.

It’s worth ntioning that the Warriors’ No. 14 was actually retired, belonging to Tom schery.

He has significant ties with China. In 1917, his parents fled Russia and in 1938, he was born in then puppet Manchuria’s Harbin, spending part of his childhood in China.

And now, he’s giving his No. 14 jersey to a Chinese player.

The league hadn’t explicitly set any rules regarding retired jerseys, so Michael Jordan could don No. 23 again. When Roger arrived, Tom schery willingly offered to let Roger continue wearing No. 14.

Usually, no one would do this since a retired jersey represents a team’s highest respect for a player, and is considered a player’s honor, which no one would willingly take away.

Jordan wearing No. 23 again is because when it’s retired, it would return to him anyway, so it’s no big deal.

But due to Roger’s unique status, and Tom schery being a reasonable literati (beca a renowned writer and teacher after retirent), he made the first decision in NBA history to yield his retired jersey.
