Forty minutes later, Brandon Roy went to the room Bill Simmons had prepared at the hotel.

Roy smirked; no kidding, you’re basically inviting a moose to a lion’s party.
But this is indeed Bill Simmons’ style, he doesn’t shy away from controversial things.

Yet a while back, the Baby-Faced Assassin accepted an interview from Bill Simmons to talk about his views on Roger. During the chat, Bill Simmons explained that he had no personal animosity towards the assassin, and the assassin showed his grace.

"Wait," Roy was a bit surprised, "you’ve already interviewed so many people?"
"That’s right, from Michael, Karl Malone, Scott, to Paul, Amar’e, and you. I’m trying to recreate the most authentic Roger from multiple perspectives."
"That’s quite a project."
"Certainly."
"By the way Bill, have you decided on the title of the autobiography? It won’t be the cliché ’The Roger Story,’ will it?"
"You’ve underestimated ; I’ve long thought of the title."
"What’s it called?"
"Champion Creed."
"Creed? What creed?"
"There are six in total, perfectly summarizing Roger’s career and why he’s so successful. You’ll know when the book is published. Now Brandon, let’s get started. By the way, a side question, did Roger tell you if he’s confident about sweeping the Lakers in this series?"
"We just talked about this, 4 to 0, no doubt."
"Hahahaha, good, very good," Bill Simmons nodded in satisfaction, "sure enough, everything Roger does aligns with those six creeds."
