"Mom… sniff..." Dongi called out softly, sniffing as if she was about to cry. Guan i imdiately realised that sothing was wrong with her daughter and replied worriedly, "Dongi, what happened…? Don't cry… Mommy is here, just talk to ..."
"Are you talking to Dongi? What happened?" Guan Dong who happened to be near his wife quickly asked when he heard her but Guan i simply shushed him and asked again into the phone, thinking that she knew what going on, "Dongi, did you two fight?"
"Mhmm… Sniff… We had a big fight right now…" Dongi covered her eyes with a pillow, sounding a bit abashed. She didn't know where this conversation was going to as she was only improvising. She wanted to help Wuxing and she decided that being direct about it would be much better.
Hearing the reason, Guan i exclaid softly, knowing the pain of argunts too well, "Ah, honey… It's okay… Every couple fight… I and your father fight all the ti… How did this even happen? What did you fight about?"
"Actually… We fought two tis in one day already… Sob..." Dongi admitted before completely covering her face with a pillow, trying to silence her sobbing.
Guan Dong who was overhearing the conversation couldn't help but shout while performing a victory dance, "Fuck yeah! I knew it will work, hehe."
Guan i only rolled her eyes, happy that she covered her phone so that Dongi doesn't hear him and replied after kicking her husband in the butt, "Sweetheart, I know how you feel… Tell what happened so that your mommy could understand and help you. Maybe it's not as bad as you think."
"We argued when he picked up from work and grabbed my butt in front of everyone I work with. I told him to let go but he didn't stop and I slamd him against the wall…" Dongi explained shortly of what happened, not lying as she knew that her guards could report in details later.
"Ah, so that's what happened… Did you talk to him? Maybe he was just lonely. You can make him understand that there is always ti and place for such things." Guan i understood what they were doing right away but didn't show anything on her face, genuinely advising her daughter.
Dongi only continued to explain further, recounting the following events, "I did talk to him. I told him exactly what you said just now but it only led to an even bigger argunt… I didn't want to argue anymore so I gave him what he wanted and we had a long reconcilation kiss. We sohow made up but I still felt bad about it…"
"Shit, I told him not to do anything funny but he didn't listen… He even touched her butt!" Guan Dong was super happy not a mont ago but after hearing what Wuxing did, he could not help but rage. Fortunately, there was an option to mute the microphone and Guan i was using this option quite skillfully.
"Can't you hear that she is hurt because of your stupid ideas?! She was happy but now you made Wuxing pretend to be worse and look at what you did. Now she is crying and it's all your fault." Guan i didn't forget to scold her husband, using Dongi as a tool for that.
She already determined that her daughter was pretending together with Wuxing so she also started pretending in front of her husband for as long as she could.
"Don't feel bad honey… You made up, right? This is all that matters. It ans that even such small fight can't stop your feelings." Guan i returned to Dongi and tried to help her understand that it wasn't such a big deal before switching to the next part, "What happened during the second argunt then?"
"I was trying to get so fresh air so I proposed to go for a walk and maybe shot so targets with the guns so I could relax a bit. I took a heavy rifle from the armoury and asked him to carry it for but instead of helping, Wuxing said that my guards should carry it." Dongi recounted the scene and stopped crying, getting more annoyed the more she spoke about it.
"And? Did you get mad and decided to carry it yourself?" Guan i asked knowingly, already able to guess what happened just based on this part.
"Yes! I did get mad!" Dongi quickly confird it as she exclaid before adding, "How can he talk to like this? Only when he saw carry it myself did he try to take the suitcase away from to carry it instead but I didn't let him. What's more, when he finally let go, I fell to the ground and hurt my butt… I still can't believe what is going on with him."
Guan Dong was once again in a good mood, hearing that everything is going in a nice direction. Guan i could only ignore him and answer through the phone, "He indeed deserves so scolding then… Did you tell him how you feel?"
"...He chased after back to my apartnt and we only talked through the gap in the doors… I might have said sothing I regret now…" Dongi said while pausing as if she was recalling what just happened and without waiting for her mother comnt, she narrated with a sad voice, "Wuxing tried to explain that its how he is but I don't want it like this. Ignoring her husband happiness, Guan i began analyzing what she just learnt, 'Oof… They are quite fast… What are they planning? Wuxing is too smart to think that such a plan will work. If they break up like this, there is no way they can get back together even if he climbs the ranks of Seven Stars to the top… Wuxing, what do you want to do…?'
Seeing that Guan i was in a daze, Guan Dong took over the phone and called out, "Hey Dongi, father here. Don't worry about this guy. There are much more fish in the ocean. If he doesn't appreciate you then there is no need to waste your ti on him."
"Give the phone back." His wife said sternly after coming back from her senses, reaching out to take over the phone but Guan Dong only smiled, dodging her hand and ran towards the balcony, closing the doors behind him.
Dongi, on the other hand, found it really in handy that her father took over the phone and said softly, "But I still care about him… I don't want to leave him here while leaving alone…" It was much easier for her to trick her father than her mother. Sohow she felt like her mother could always see right through her and it was rather her father that was easier to sway.
"I know, it may be hard after all you guys went through but it will only get worse from now on. How about this. Even if you guys break up, I promise you that I will help set him free. It shouldn't take more than a week. What do you think?" Guan Dong proposed as he observed his wife threatening through the glass door.
He was glad he installed a double handle so now he could block the doors from the outside.
"Really? There will be a lawyer coming to et with Wuxing but if you can help from the side, I think that would help a lot… Dongi called out excitedly before asking after her initial excitent dimd and was replaced with rational thinking, "Papa, can you really do it? It won't be that easy… I know he is innocent. Believe . I was never wrong."
When Guan Dong heard her daughter call him Papa, he wanted to burst out laughing from happiness but he held it in his stomach and said calmly, "Of course I believe you. I would never think you are lying to . Don't worry, Papa will take care of everything, but will you keep your end of a deal? How about you co back ho earlier?"
"..." Dongi paused for a mont, thinking if this was the right way she should tread but in the end, she decided to proceed further after already walking this far, "If you can help Wuxing… I will co back earlier… But only if Wuxing is safe! If you do anything to him, I won't forgive you!"
"I promise I won't do anything to him. You have my word. I will make sure he is safe too." Guan Dong happily accepted this offer. They already had the sa deal with Wuxing so he was basically profiting twice from the sa thing.
"Alright… Can you pass the phone back to mother? I need to tell her about this so you don't go back on your word later." Dongi breathed a sigh of relief, finding everything working surprisingly well, just as she imagined it.
The only thing she was worried was Wuxing opinion about her acting like this. He wanted to play it safe but she went for it directly. She didn't want to be scolded by him but the situation happened in the way that allowed her to perform it so she decided to try it. In the end, the effort paid off.
"Sure love." Guan Dong was now in a great mood so he naturally accepted her request. His wife was already freaking out anyway so if he didn't open the door soon, he would be in deep trouble anyway.
Muting the call, Guan Dong opened the doors and called out with a smile while passing her the phone, "I settled it already."
"What did you settle?!" Guan i was already fuming at how childish her husband was behaving and quickly roared at him, stealing the phone back.
Guan Dong only smiled and explained calmly, "Dongi will leave her boyfriend and in exchange, I will help him get out of prison. She also promised to co back ho earlier."
Not believing him at all, Guan i asked her daughter hurriedly, "Honey? What did you settle with your father just now? He stole the phone away from ."
"Father said the truth… I could hear you both…" Dongi confird her father's words before wording her thoughts out loud, "Maybe we shouldn't have moved from being friends. Wuxing was much better as a friend. I should tell him I want to move back to being friends, I guess…"
Guan i got surprised by this decision but quickly cleared her head and asked, "If that's how you feel then I'm fine with it but did you really think this through? How about you let talk to Wuxing? I have sothing to ask him." She was really curious about what he will say when he learns about it.
