A woman ca from right in front of him with a confident smile on her face. The lady had a pretty face, but that arrogant smirk of hers and irritating voice made her unlikable in the eyes of Wang Ling.
He wished the lady would not speak any more than she already had. But his wishes never truly co true the way he likes it so that very lady just had to speak up at an even louder voice.
"Wang Ling, I heard you have beaten Wei Hu through underhanded ans. I have been planning to et him at this Ten Year Bout you know? I wanted to test if he had improved, but you robbed off that mont, now, I'll have to make you stand in for his position. I Hao Yahui shall take your Jade Stick and advance to the next round."
She brought out another spear and held it in front of her. Looking straight to Wang Ling's eyes, she smirked as her chest began to beat wildly. With a slight movent, she threw herself against the infamous Wang Ling and without holding anything back, she swung her spear against Wang Ling.

Wang Ling saw the spear coming towards him and imdiately brought out his swords. Using his Heaven's Will he wanted to deflect the spear, but as he brought out his sword Hao Yahui smirked wildly and twisted her wrist and as if the spear was a snake, it bent and avoided his sword.
"Shit!" Wang Ling cursed, "She's a Spear Soul level spearman?" Wang Ling was surprised to see soone of this caliber in the Phoenix Rankings. He had always thought that Wang Hong's spear was the pinnacle spear of the current generation. But it would seem that he was wrong.
This lady may seem annoying, but she was powerful and skillful. The spear traveled like a snake and it was aid at his head. There was no killing intent, but he could tell that the force was enough to gravely injure him. It was a re few inches before it would reach his left eye.
"That's enough playing." Wang Ling uttered and moved his left hand to create a vertical slash to deflect the oncoming spear.
"Huh? I only managed to graze you? It seems like you truly are rather skilled." Hao Yahui was surprised. She had wanted at least to get an eye out of him, but his hands moved too fast that it managed to deflect her spear tip.
Blood flowed at the side of his head and a fierce and untad glare was directed at Hao Yahui. For a mont, Hao Yahui felt like sothing awoke in front of her as if a beast had shown its fangs that it made her jump backward in fright.
An instinctive smile blossod from her face as she faced the dangerous being that is Wang Ling. However, the beastly nature suddenly disappeared as Wang Ling wiped the blood from his head.
Instead, what replaced that raw anger beca pure calmness and tranquility.
Wang Ling stared at her with clear eyes and took in a deep breath and with that said. He kicked the air and an explosion shortly followed as a sonic boom was created and flew across the sky and directly ca face to face with Hao Yahui.

She was alerted and imdiately tried to repel him with her spear. But Wang Ling was too fast that he managed to deflect her spear away. Her arms were blown away and Wang Ling's black sword that was raging with hellish might appeared just around her neck/
For a mont, she felt that Wang Ling was actually aiming for her head. This made her instincts shot up in danger, but it did not manage to make her panic. Instead, the danger managed to heighten her concentration and provided her the ability to pull every bit of her strength to her arms and core.
"Get away from !" She roared as her body exploded with great strength and her black hair flowed like a red river. With her roar, her hair changed in color and the characteristic of her qi changed. Her strength increased and so did the speed of her spear.
With a twist, her spear traveled at extraordinary speed and it bashed Wang Ling's sword down. But she did not simply aim for Wang Ling's Reaper but also aid for his left hand as a whole. It was risky, but she managed to crush two of his fingers and changed the directed of his short sword from her neck to beco a slanted slash to the body.
Skkkrssh!
The sound of flesh being cut was heard. A slant injury and her blood quickly spurted out like a fountain. But that only lasted for a mont before she forced the injury to quickly close up. At this whole process, she did not even scream out and rely moaned in pain. It was an impressive feat.
However, she had ti to catch her breath as Wang Ling also did not even flinch in the wake of his fingers being crushed. Instead, his movents beca even sharper than it was before and his ans was rciless because the mont he finished that attack, he did not let up and chained another hit with Retribution.
The chain was not made by his Reaper or Heaven's Will. Instead, he moved his body according to his will and as if his left hand that had been almost incapacitated turned into a sword and aid for her wounds.

With the help of the wind, Wang Ling's fingers burrowed through her right shoulder where the injury began. Blood flew out but such a thing rely made her moan in pain, but she kept her heart calm and boldly kept her spear in her storage ring.
With enough space to move, a spear will only get in the way. She activated her bloodline lineage and grabbed Wang Ling's left hand like a steel clam. She had no intention of letting him go.
She tried crushing his wrist and rely managed to create cracks. Unable to crush it, she did the best thing she thought was best to do and threw a punch on his face. Wang Ling did not dodge and took it right on the face.
Bam!
He received a massive blow, but at the mont that blow struck his face his bloodline also activated and it managed to give him enough strength to not get blown away. Two halos appeared behind his head.
And as if he was lightning itself, he moved and stabbed Hao Yahui's left hand that she used to punch him with his Heaven's Will. The sword passed through her arms without issue and almost severed her hands entirely but she managed to throw him back and create distance between the two of them.
It was at this ti that the two of them tried catching their breaths. Wang Ling stared at Hao Yahui and asked, "What is your rank? I have not fought like this for a while, may I know what rank you are?"
Hao Yahui answered with a smile, "I am the 5th Phoenix, Hao Yahui. The Red Beast of the Berserker Emperor Lions, a beastman."
"So, you are one of the beastman. That is rather surprising."
"I have answered your question, now, can you answer a question of mine?"
"I'll do what I can."
"You are the Son of Heaven, but why did I feel the qi similar to that of a devil in that short sword of yours?"
Wang Ling rely smiled. He did not spare any effort in trying to defeat her so he had used everything he had. His arsenal was already limited, he needed both natal weapons if he wanted a fighting chance.
He smiled at her inquiry and answered willfully, "Both paths are the sa. It but the origin of chaos, I do not look down upon any of the two path, I embrace them to create harmony and strength."
Hao Yahui laughed at his comnts and said, "You are quite eloquent at how you praise that. Well, I don't have anything against that anyway, but as soone who respects you, I shall give you a warning. If you wish to have your position as the Son of Heaven taken, discard the other path and embrace the teaching of the Holy Path else the greatest threat to you will be that guy."
Hao Yahui said no more and brought out her spear. Her sight turned to the side and she smirked, "May we et later, Son of Heaven! If we do, I won't hold anything back!" Hao Yahui said such words and kicked the air and disappeared.
Two seconds later she appeared five hundred ters away and had already brought down an enemy that was watching her fight with Wang Ling.
Wang Ling did not stop her, and let her destroy that person's jade stick without much struggle. She smiled at him before disappearing with a bright light.
He did not stop her because he wanted to fight her again, but he chose to let her go because she was more dangerous than it may seem. If he had gone after her, he was sure that she will do whatever it takes to beat him.
And with both his hands fucked, he can't fight her without igniting both bloodlines. He was hesitant and decided to let her go for the mont.
After this clash, it took him an hour to heal his wounds and ten minutes after that, an unfortunate soul was robbed of his chance to continue on the next round.
