"Today’s hand is just not right,"

"Enjoy your luck, man, you only lose 20 when you’re off, I lose 50 on a good day. Are we sick or sothing, rushing to give away money?"

Park Jinsuk chuckled as she looked at Wu Xiu next to her, speaking with the tone of soone who’s been through it all, "It’s just entertainnt, losing a bit of money is normal."

"You lost 140 the day before yesterday."

"Yah!"

Although she had lived in Huaxia for almost 30 years, the habit of bursting into Korean when excited was sothing Park Jinsuk had never managed to lose.

Years of swearing in Korean had also made Wu Xiu quite proficient at understanding many of the curses in the language.

Like all that xi ba...

Xi ba...

And xi ba...

Back in her youth, Park Jinsuk could be considered a xi ba personified, blurting out a string of xi ba at anyone who angered her, especially when her Chinese wasn’t that good yet.

At that ti Wu Xiu didn’t understand a thing and just laughed it off, which infuriated Park Jinsuk even more.

Of course, they had been friends for a long ti, so they didn’t get mad over a curse word or two.

Park Jinsuk’s "national essence" was sothing she had learned from Wu Xiu, after all.

Calling them each other’s "swear words tutor" wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

"Did everyone at your place eat already? If not, wanna do ran?"

Ran was another habit Park Jinsuk had never changed, much like her yet-to-et son’s girlfriend, using it as a habitual term for instant noodles.

"I’ll pass, Chenglu said she saved so dumplings."

"All right then, co over for lunch tomorrow."

"Sure thing~"

The two parted ways at the door, with Wu Xiu turning left to go ho.

anwhile, Park Jinsuk turned right and entered her own courtyard.

It was already pitch dark, now at nine in the evening.

Despite having lost money, Park Jinsuk, who only lost 20, was in high spirits as she opened her front door, humming a tune from her hotown, kicking off her shoes, slipping into slippers, and upon entering, imdiately spotted the radiantly smiling woman sitting beside her son.

For a mont, Park Jinsuk’s eyes widened in shock.

"What’s up?"

The pair on the couch, who had been watching TV, heard her voice and looked towards the door in unison, then stood up in perfect coordination.

Now that Park Jinsuk could see the woman’s face clearly, she instantly recognized her.

She walked up to Liu Xin’an and Bae Juhyun with a surprised smile, "Bae Juhyun, right?"

Liu Xin’an had introduced his girlfriend to them yesterday, so she could call out her na right away.

Having been recognized, Bae Juhyun, though still nervous, mustered the courage to step out from behind Liu Xin’an and bowed politely to Park Jinsuk.

This ti Liu Xin’an learned his lesson and quickly moved aside, for the first ti since their reunion today, distancing himself about a ter from Bae Juhyun.

No choice, a hair tug sure hurts.

"Aunty, I’m sorry for imposing, I’m Xin’an’s girlfriend, Bae Juhyun."

"Oh my, oh my, even prettier than in the pictures! How can soone be so beautiful, this old lady is green with envy seeing you."

With an excited grin, Park Jinsuk spouted familiar phrases that eased much of the tension Bae Juhyun felt.

This seemingly young woman seed even more amiable compared to Liu Xin’an’s father, Liu Zhengjiang.

For a mont, she understood why Liu Xin’an had such healthy values.

Indeed, family education is invaluable.

Growing up in such an environnt, it was no wonder Liu Xin’an turned out so well.

"You’re too kind, Aunty. I think you’re stunning. No one would question if you said you were Xin’an’s sister instead of his mom."

"My, what a sweet talker you are. When did you get here, why didn’t you let know beforehand?"

The first half was addressed to Bae Juhyun, while the latter was a direct stare at Liu Xin’an on the side.

Liu Xin’an felt wronged as well, spreading his hands, "I didn’t want to disturb your money-making."

No sooner had this been ntioned, the pleasant mood of Park Jinsuk soured.

Big money?

She lost 20!

"Go, go, go, bringing up what should not be ntioned. Co sit down, Juhyun."

"Okay."

Bae Juhyun obediently sat down with Park Jinsuk while Liu Xin’an sat beside them.

"I heard from Xin’an that you couldn’t make it before, so what brings you here all of a sudden? Is work okay?"

Bae Juhyun was taken aback and looked towards Liu Xin’an.

Realizing Bae Juhyun’s confusion, Liu Xin’an hurriedly explained, "My parents know you’re an artist."

This news made Bae Juhyun’s eyes widen.

In fact, Li Chenglu and Li Changhe had ntioned this in the car, but they were speaking in Chinese, which she couldn’t understand, so she had no idea that Liu Xin’an’s parents were aware she was an artist.

Being an artist isn’t exactly a popular profession in Korea.

Considering Liu Xin’an’s background is not lacking, coupled with his own education at a prestigious university, if it were all transposed to her ho country, she believed his parents would never approve of him being with a female celebrity.

In Korea, an artist’s status is quite low...

So low it’s hardly presentable.

Moreover, the seemingly young woman in front of her was originally from her own country.

She should know very well the status of artists at ho.
