The New Year of 2021 fell on February 12, which was also the Lunar New Year’s Eve.

Counting back seven days from that date was the Minor New Year.

If Liu Xin’an were bringing Bae Juhyun along, it would make sense to go back on the 28th or 29th.

If he wasn’t bringing Bae Juhyun, he had no reason to delay his return so late.

However, he didn’t plan to explain this to Bae Juhyun, he simply vaguely ntioned before the 5th.

Otherwise, wouldn’t that be putting pressure on Bae Juhyun?

But his words suddenly made Bae Juhyun realize that if Liu Xin’an really went back for the New Year, she would have to spend at least a week without seeing him.

Since they started dating, the only ti they had been apart for so long was the week before the family concert.

But back then, their relationship had just been confird not long before, and she wasn’t yet at the point where she couldn’t sleep at night without Liu Xin’an.

Now, even just spending a night in the dorm made her feel uncomfortable, so recently she had been coming back almost every day.

In such a state, Bae Juhyun had never considered being apart from Liu Xin’an for so many days.

Yet, Liu Xin’an’s recent words forced her to take this matter seriously again.

"Uh... around, can’t be sure, it might even drag to the 8th or 9th."

"...and when will you be back?"

"If it’s the 5th... around the 17th then."

Bae Juhyun pursed her lips, counting the days with her fingers, then realizing she didn’t have enough fingers, she sowhat irritably took out her phone.

With the aid of technology, Bae Juhyun calculated the days.

If calculated under the worst scenario, that would be returning around the 4th of next month and coming back around the 17th...

"Two weeks!?"

The startled Bae Juhyun caused Liu Xin’an to inadvertently grin. How should he put it... she was quite adorable.

He first turned off the still-burning grill, guessing that Bae Juhyun was now completely out of the mindset to eat, seeing the panic in her eyes.

But so things must be asured. He naturally didn’t want to leave Bae Juhyun either, but the New Year was too significant for him as a Chinese, and it was impossible not to go back.

"I’ll definitely co back as soon as possible, a week at most. After a week I should be able to return."

Bae Juhyun frowned, silent, as an internal struggle raged in her mind.

After a long while, she displayed a bitter smile.

"Give so ti to think..."

As Bae Juhyun said this, Liu Xin’an did not continue discussing the matter of returning ho for the New Year, but instead, he smilingly shifted the topic to their shared account.

The grill that had been turned off was also fired up again, spreading the tempting aroma of at throughout the room again.

After eating dinner and drinking a bottle of soju, Bae Juhyun wasn’t embarrassingly drunk like the previous tis. Instead, after helping Liu Xin’an clean up the ss on the dining table, she sullenly prepared to leave Liu Xin’an’s ho.

She felt the need to try to get a head start on getting used to life without Liu Xin’an.

Whether she could join Liu Xin’an to celebrate the New Year in China was sothing she couldn’t decide on her own.

Even if she ntally prepared herself to face this inevitable situation, her work and her company would unlikely approve her leave request during such an important festival.

She could have used traveling as an excuse before, but this ti?

Traveling during the peak of China’s most important New Year period?

She couldn’t really treat her company’s leadership as fools.

"Juhyun, are you heading ho?"

Just after putting the dishes away, Liu Xin’an ca out of the kitchen and saw Bae Juhyun already at the doorway, sitting down to change her shoes.

"I need to start getting used to life without you."

She murmured softly, eliciting a wry smile from Liu Xin’an.

"Hey, I haven’t left yet."

"I better start getting used to it though, ah, just let think about it."

After saying that, the girl ran out of Liu Xin’an’s ho without looking back, leaving him puzzled and standing in place.

What’s going on?

His confusion was sothing the now hobound and slumped on the couch Bae Juhyun definitely didn’t know about.

She felt her mind was in chaos, overwheld by the sudden abundance of matters.

She planned to properly manage their new account together, and she also planned to fulfill the fans’ wishes to see them together.

Additionally, the company was going to inform them of the coback plans around March, so she needed to maintain her physique managent.

Now there was also this Chinese New Year decision about whether to accept Liu Xin’an’s invitation to go with him...

Bae Juhyun never thought of herself as a clever person.

As the saying goes, many hands make light work.

Lying sprawled on the couch for a good while, she finally took out her phone and tapped on the contact labeled "Kang Seulgi."

Sorry Seulgi, this "tool" person, you’re about to be one again—she silently apologized in her heart.

When Kang Seulgi’s voice ca through the phone, Bae Juhyun called out the girl’s na as if finding soone to confide in.

"Seulgi~"

"Hmm? What’s with you? Why do you sound so out of it?"

Kang Seulgi had known her for so many years and imdiately noticed sothing was off with Bae Juhyun.

However, she hadn’t expected that Bae Juhyun was overwheld by too many things; she just thought that Bae Juhyun had fought with Liu Xin’an.

For young lovers, nearly two months in, the honeymoon phase was over, and it seed they were entering the tiring phase of argunts.

She might not have had a romantic relationship herself, but she had read plenty of romance novels!
