Chapter 95 – Cat Dad Takes His Ti
Xiaomao inspected Andrew and his reactions. As he ca out as a middle-aged dwarf with brown full-beard, unkempt long brown hair, wearing a simple ragged t-shirt and torn shorts, he looked like a holess dude on the street.
After giving Andrew the gold coins, Xiaomao made a list of what he should buy for his retainer.
‘A new casual cloth, a new set of working clothes, gunsmith tools, ingredients for him to craft basic items. What else? Oh, right. I should give him so skill books and spellbooks. I’ll find him an NPC ntor to help him like how I hooked Shepherd with Cernun. Once he gets a bit stronger, I’ll let him learn a few skills or spells that suit his build.’
Xiaomao closed his eyes and tried to rember what the optimized build for a crafter was. He rembered that the DEX attribute took priority, and WIS was useful for boosting lucky chances. In addition, Dwarves gained the VIT attribute and Fire Spiritual Root bonus when their level surpassed 100, which made them good in the late ga.
On the forums, several players from the first world had already discovered this secret, and they switched their main characters to Dwarves.
Xiaomao also liked life skills, and he wanted to gain so knowledge from his retainers later on. He believed that crafters were necessary for the future, and he wanted to gain Andrew’s power one day.
But for now, Xiaomao had to increase Andrew’s level and skills. Having another supporting character ant that Xiaomao had another mouth to feed, and he could not waste his ti worrying about the far future.
Xiaomao opened the warehouse crate of this town, which linked to his warehouse in Seaside Town. Then, the stored items showed up in the inventory nu.
He brought out the spellbook that he couldn’t learn before..
.

As this super rare spell book required 1,000 points in light spiritual root to learn, Xiaomao couldn’t use it before. But now, he was qualified to learn it.
DING
Xiaomao didn’t stop. Now that he had learned the spell, it was ti to upgrade the mastery to the max. He began sacrificing useless super rare skill books and spell books that he didn’t need.
Then, the effect of the skill changed.
.
Effects:
– Upon placing this blessing totem in your resident, decrease the residential cost of your slaves, pets, and monsters by 10% as long as the Blessing Totem is active. (Max 5 Totem)
– Decrease their temperant over ti.

– The Totem doesn’t work on NFT retainers.
.
Aside from the cooldown, MP consumption, and minor effects, Xiaomao could place a total of five totems instead of one, which could potentially decrease the residential cost of his slaves by half.
Currently, Lucky used one point of residential cost, which was equivalent to one Contribution Level. But once Xiaomao put all five totems in place, he could enslave another monster without occupying another retainer’s slot!
Furthermore, this spell was now ready to be evolved. As long as Xiaomao had enough spirit stones or corrupted spirit stones, he could talk to Magdalene and upgrade it.
This was not the only spell that Xiaomao upgraded the mastery. He also upgraded all new abilities to the max by sacrificing other super-rare skill books and spell books.
After getting all his skills and spells to the max mastery, Xiaomao checked the remaining spell books and skill books in his warehouse inventory.
Despite the consumption, Xiaomao still had over 500 skill books and 100 spell books in his inventory. Most of the spells ca from the gnoll shamans, the Bit Tupeer Mansion’s library, and Warg Lord’s treasure room.
Xiaomao was excited and depressed at the sa ti. He wished he could find a spirit stone vein sowhere soon so that he could start a mining company and exploit the growth chanism.
While being absentminded, he used the spell and created the first totem in the current room.
A dog-head stone rose from the floor, becoming a two-foot tall totem and emitting a warm aura in the room.
As soon as Lucky sensed the aura, her ears perked up and she smiled.
“It feels so comfortable! I can live here forever!”
Xiaomao glanced at her and thought to himself, ‘Should I leave her here? Nah, I need an OP tank.’
The skill was good, but the cooldown was a pain. Xiaomao needed 4 days to complete all five totems to see the effect.
After setting the totem, Xiaomao sorted his inventory. He stored the Mazinger Poison in the warehouse inventory along with 80% of the stolen mana potion from Bit Tupeer Mansion. The excess books that occupied most of his inventory were also stored there.
While Xiaomao was sorting his warehouse, he gazed at the series of spellbooks and skill books. He pondered for a mont and pick one of the shaman fireball spell books, which he had gotten from a gnoll shaman.
When Xiaomao brought the spell book out, Magdalene glanced at it and tilted her head in confusion, wondering why the cat kept one of the useless spell books in his inventory.
Xiaomao noticed the gaze of the fairy. He grinned.
“I have a sixth sense, munya! Soone will surely recognize on the street. I need this to form an amicable relationship with them, munya!”
