Because of the war, 50% of the townsn in Yeet City migrated to other places while the rest got abducted by the monsters. As for the rest, they remained behind in this cursed city as they had nowhere to go.

In one of the NPC buildings, a middle-aged man couldn't stop sneezing.

The man was an immigrant from Seaside Town. He used to own an inn. But because of the recent war, he sold his inn to a player and moved here.
However, the ex-owner, Pang Pang, was still in the MSG business. As he used to import MSG seaweed from oversea and players, he had more experience than the locals when it ca to judging MSG seaweed's quality and taste.
Pang Pang had been checking 12 packages of the white crystals. But for so reason, he felt like soone had been talking about him.
"Boss, are you sick?" One of Pang Pang's employees looked at the chubby man. He was also an NPC.
"Those Midgardians must have been cussing ."
"Are you sure? Our MSG delivery is always on ti. Why would they be complaining?"
"Probably my imagination. Let's wrap up the inspection and load the MSG to a crate, so we can hand them over to the rchant Guild before nightfall."

The employee looked left and right. After he was sure that nobody was around, he whispered to his boss, asking a sensitive question.

Xiaomao nodded. After he ate one of the crispy seaweed, all his attributes went up by 10.

After bragging enough, Jorm started probing the party.

Xiaomao looked at Undine, and she nodded. The rmaid opened her mouth and was about to speak in Xiaomao's stead. However, Jorm raised his hand and stopped Undine from talking.
"I want to hear it from our young friend's mouth, please."

Suddenly, everybody stopped what they were doing and looked at Xiaomao. Even the servants and the local guards fixated on him as if they were ready to jump him at any mont.
Sensing the ominous atmosphere, Xiaomao took several deep breaths. He calmly responded.
"I'm a player. My na is Miao Xiaomao, and I'm the dungeon master of Slave Dungeon, next to the rmaid Sanctuary, munya."
Jorm nodded as he confird his intel with Xiaomao's info. He was already aware of Xiaomao's status and backgrounds as he had been communicating with his father in secret.
"I've heard about you. Lady Chang'e praised you a lot for your potential. But I have a question – What is your relationship with our goddess?"
Again, Xiaomao glanced at Undine. She bit her lower lips, "You can tell him. He's trustworthy."
"Okay, munya," Xiaomao faced Jorm. "In my previous life, I'm the eldest son of the Chaos Seraphim Mao Miaomiao. She's my stepmother, munya."
"Mmm."
Jormungand the Third widely grinned and his eyes glead. He then gazed at Undine and Nymph.
"You girls are lucky. You get to serve our prince."
"P-Prince, munya?!" Xiaomao was taken aback.
Jorm laughed, "Isn't that obvious? Lady Chang'e is our Empress. Since you're her stepson, you are a prince by default!"
"B-But I'm a player, munya!"
Jorm clapped his hands. Several rmaids rushed to the throne room and prostrated to the floor.
The castellan ordered, "Call Alice, dusa, and Madoka over. Tell them that I need them here ASAP."
The group of rmaids bowed and rushed out.
Xiaomao dryly laughed when Jorm ntioned Alice. He got nervous if the lizardman needed sothing from them or if they sched sothing against him.
anwhile, Undine and Nymph sweated bullets. They stood up.
Undine asked for permission, "Castellan, I know that Xiaomao's status is similar to a prince, but summoning the three border town's guardians is a bit excessive!"
Nymph added, "Sir, we understand that our strength is lacking, but we're confident that we can protect Xiaomao!"
Jorm sneered at the two won, "Didn't you run away from the town earlier?"
"We did, but we had no choice!"
"Do you think anything of the sort would happen if one of the trio is in charge?"
"That's…"
"Look, Naless Undine and Naless Nymph. You two are the rising stars of the rmaid Kingdom. You're entrusted with the most challenging task to guard the Sanctuary against Pangu's minions and the players. However, none of you can last a minute against top experts like Silveria, Heimdall, Eldrich, or one of the calamity fiends. This important task should be given to the strongest fighters of our kingdom."
"SIR, I AM HIS WIFE!" Undine protested.
Jorm had enough. He bellowed, "SHUT UP!"

Jorm and Undine's eyes turned red. They didn't hide their killing intent, and their aura burst out.

The palace guards brought out their weapons. Nymph and Undine also opened their inventory and equipped themselves with their staff and protective gear. anwhile, the followers of Undine stopped eating and pointed their spears against the local guards as well.
Seeing the xican standoff, Xiaomao dropped the MSG seaweed in shock. He gnashed his teeth and confronted Jorm.
"Senior, please stop. We're supposed to be allies. Why are we fighting, munya?!"
Jorm's dark expression instantly vanished, replaced with a bright smile. The swelling anger disappeared from Jorm's mind.
"I'm so sorry, your highness. Please forgive this subordinate. I was just testing your retainers."
The lizardman clapped and pointed at the guards, "Stand down. They're important guests. Fighting here is strictly prohibited. Anyone who raises arms against them will be thrown to my father's den."

The faces of the palace guards were ashen. They put their weapons back in their inventories and returned to their posts.
Noticing that the situation was under control, everybody was relieved. Undine's servants got back to their seats, but Nymph and Undine remained in their positions.
"Sir Jormungand, we still disagree with the summoning of the great three. Please withdraw the order."
"No can do," Jorm snorted. "I have been talking with my father ever since I released you. In fact, my grandfather and Lady Chang'e have long noticed your arrival, and they gave us an order."
Jorm paused and smiled at Xiaomao, "Your Highness, Lady Chang'e will make a public announcent about your status soon. I know it's early, but it is for your safety. You will be officially recognized as the Crown Prince of the rmaid Kingdom."
"WHAT, MUNYA?!"
"We will allocate all our resources to ensure your growth. All elental orbs, essence orbs, and cultivation resources will be given to you. In exchange…"
Jorm lewdly grinned and continued, "You just need to fulfill your duty as the alpha mustang of the pride. Please bless us with your seeds and impregnate as many citizens as possible!"

While they were arguing, the palace trembled. A massive scylla floated over the palace and slowly shrank, descending on the palace's ceiling.
20 long necks of green serpent heads slithered through the largest window as the lower abdon of the scylla entered first. Then, the upper body of a refined lady with a gothic dress entered. However, six wolf heads slipped out from her skirt, panting and gazing at the crowd in the palace. The spider-like abdon also brought along countless tentacles and sea snakes. Because of her arrival, Xiaomao and Jorm stopped arguing. Their attention focused on the newcor.
Xiaomao got to see her na and her title in full. Then, he understood why Jorm valued her so much.
