Chapter 174 – Cat Dad’s New Mission
After Mimir and Taotie brought Xiaomao’s party away, Joan and her teammates inspected the pirate ship. They explored the cabins, the gun deck, and the hull.
Upon noticing that it was an ordinary frigate with no flight engine, Joan clicked her tongue.
“Were those scumbags using gravity or wind magic to fly?”
Joan was disappointed. She thought that Mimir and Taotie were operating a real flyable ship for transport.
In a bad mood, she kicked one of the cannons to the sea. She turned to the other spirits.
“Burn the ship. We don’t need it.”
Wei Zhi overheard it. She yelled at Joan.
“Why did you steal the ship in the first place if you want to burn it?! Why did you have to threaten them?!”
Joan smiled at Wei Zhi, “Master, those n are criminals, especially that lion. Taotie is a calamity-class fiend, who already murdered a hundred gods and immortals. I don’t know how he escaped from Nian’s seals, but he is a threat to the mortal worlds and all immortals. If it weren’t for your safety, we would have inford Lord Odin and mobilized all Asgard personnel to hunt them down.”

Even though Joan had her reason, her recent action disheartened Wei Zhi.
The ga was not fun anymore. She just wanted to enjoy hunting for items, grinding for levels, and having fun with her friends. But now, she ended up becoming a tool for NPCs, which she disliked.
Being fed up with Joan, Wei Zhi opened her ga nu and logged out. Her ga character vanished from the deck.
Joan frowned after Wei Zhi had left without saying goodbye. She spat, “Emo wench. You’re already lucky that I’m protecting you.”

After Wei Zhi had logged out, she remained on the main nu. She stared at her ga avatar and the button on the right side.

Exit the Ga
Wei Zhi gazed at her ga avatar. Its eyes were dull and emotionless, similar to the followers of Joan.
“The ga is not fun anymore.”
Without hesitation, Wei Zhi pressed the delete button!
The ga system imdiately sent her a warning ssage.
[Warning! If you delete this ga character, all equipnt on the character will be deleted. The character will disappear forever!]
[Note – All your items in your warehouse will remain the sa. When you create a new character, you can reclaim the items.]

Wei Zhi snorted. She pressed the confirm button.

“Huh?”
Wei Zhi didn’t understand, but she pressed the confirm button anyway, just like how she did to every app’s terms and conditions whenever she installed them on her phone.

Suddenly, Wei Zhi’s heart thumped. She clenched her chest as if she was about to get a heart attack.

[Battlefield Warlord character has beco an NPC.]
“EH?!”
Wei Zhi didn’t care about other ssages. When she noticed that her ga character turned into an NPC, she was surprised.

After Wei Zhi deleted her ga character, Battlefield Warlord reappeared on Wellerboy. Her eyes were dull and lifeless for a mont before they beca clear.
The Oni smirked. Then, she turned to Joan.
Joan narrowed her eyes as if she had sensed sothing. She grabbed Oni’s cheeks with one hand and inspected her reactions and karma.
Upon realizing the changes, Joan laughed.
“That wench quit, I see.”
The Oni nodded. She snickered, “I’ve acquired a portion of her mory, but I get to retain all skills, spells, and levels. What do you need to do, ma’am?”
Joan patted the Oni’s face, “This will make a lot of things easier. From now on, follow my instructions. I’ll make you the strongest Valkyrie of Asgard!”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“First off, let’s bring those useless kids to the shore and extort quest rewards from their parents. If they can’t pay us, we’ll enslave them all and bring their souls to Asgard!”
“Yes, ma’am!”
The Oni saluted and grinned. Joan also smiled as she liked her new subordinate.

anwhile, in the real world, Wei Zhi exited the ga capsule. However, she felt like she had lost sothing very important to her. She couldn’t get rid of the longing feeling and regrets.
While confused and moody, Wei Zhi entered a bathroom to take a shower. She took off her clothes and glanced at a mirror. Then, she looked away.
“???”
Wei Zhi frowned as she sensed sothing wrong. She turned to the mirror again.
There was no reflection of her in the mirror!

Xiaomao looked back after his group traveled several kiloters to the north. Upon seeing that Joan and Wei Zhi didn’t follow after them, Xiaomao turned to Mimir.
“Let’s take a break on the surface of the sea. I’ll bring another ship out.”
Shepherd and Magdalene rembered that Xiaomao still had a backup frigate “Titanic II”. They let out a sigh of relief that they didn’t have to be carried by these immortals all the way to Cernun Island.
Xiaomao brought out the ship’s deed, and it transford into a black frigate, similar to Wellerboy. However, this ship was in perfect condition as it hadn’t been used.
Mimir and Taotie brought everybody on board. They also sat down on the deck, taking a short break.
“This is kinda nostalgic. I missed the day that I always ran away from immortals and pursuers,” Taotie cackled and panted like a dog.
“Nostalgic to you, but we almost died back there. Without Xiaomao’s backer, we would have been dead.”
Mimir rolled his eyes and snorted at Taotie. He slowly pulled out the broken statue parts of owow, which he had salvaged from the sea after Xiaomao had thrown them toward the light. He put it on the deck. As so parts were not connected, Mimir laid them on the floor.
The crew also gathered around the statue, checking the new thing.
“What are these, master?” Asked Lucky.
“Probably a senior from the Cathulhu Race. I might beco one of them in the future once I have all the evolution materials, munya.”
As the statue pieces were broken, the crew piled them into a small mountain. However, the foundation and the face of owow were still in good condition. Xiaomao brought out a clean cloth and wiped the dirt off the statue’s face.
Suddenly, the statue’s eyes looked around. Lucky and Magdalene scread in fright while the n were taken aback.
On the other hand, Mimir and Taotie lowered their heads and prostrate on the floor.
“Junior Mimir greets the exalted one.”
“Junior Taotie greets the exalted one.”
Xiaomao looked at Taotie in astonishnt. He didn’t know that he could be polite in front of a powerful being.
‘Mimir is educated, so I understand if he acts this way in front of a deity. But Taotie? I didn’t know you could lower your head to soone else.’
Xiaomao snickered, but Taotie suddenly raised his head and stared at him.
“I know manner, you fool!”
“Err, I’m sorry, senior. I didn’t an to, munya.”
“Hm!”
Taotie grumbled, but he didn’t swear or curse like usual. He kept lowering his head to the statue.
owow’s eyes kept looking around. Then, the statue’s mouth moved.
“This vessel is so broken, munya.”
The crew gulped after the statue began to talk. On the other hand, Mimir, Taotie, and Xiaomao’s expressions remain indifferent.
Xiaomao wryly smiled, “We’ve recently salvaged it from a mansion. I believe it was buried for decades, munya.”
owow statue’s head slowly floated as if it was alive. It looked at Mimir, Taotie, Xiaomao, and the crew. He grinned.
“It doesn’t matter. Good job calling for my help, munya.”
Xiaomao wryly laughed, “Actually, it was a desperate move, munya.”
“Desperate or not, calling this uncle is a good move, munya! Oh, by the way, that stupid cat and my real body are still entangling in a fight. My response might be a bit delayed, munya.”
owow looked at the statue parts. He pursed his lips.
“I guess this vessel can’t be used for long. Anyway, bring all these parts to Tian Yuan Mountain and find Immortal Sculptor Ma Moxi. That guy can repair the statue for you, munya. Once the statue is repaired, put it in a dungeon core’s room, and it will beco a dungeon guardian, munya.”

You have discovered that the Statue of Cathulhu God can beco a temporary vessel and a communication tool of owow. The god also ordered you to bring the broken statue to the Immortal Sculptor Ma Moxi at Tian Yuan Mountain.
Quest Objective: Give the Broken Statue to Ma Moxi.
Failure Condition: You lost the statue to one of the Pangu Faction’s followers, or it is completely destroyed.
Quest Reward: Unknown.
Failure Penalty: owow will be very disappointed in you.
*[Cathulhu Instinct]: MUSTPLETE. But for now, bring Mimir and Taotie to Cernun and visit your dungeon. You will need to upgrade your classes to the second tier before you venture into the Beast Queen’s forest and Tian Yuan Mountain.
*[Foresight]: Tian Yuan Mountain is located 100 kiloters south of Basin Forest, the ho of Beast Tribes. The access to the forest is currently blockaded by the Beast Queen, and nobody can enter the mountain. As long as you can get an audience with the Beast Queen, you can access the mountain without any issues.
