The bullets embedded into Xiaomao’s skin, but they failed to penetrate deeper into his flesh. As if Xiaomao’s muscle fibers were harder than steel, the bullets flattened upon hitting him.
The soldiers didn’t notice that their bullets failed to pierce Xiaomao. Their fingers moved by themselves, firing more shots at him.
Xiaomao flinched as it still hurt him. In anger, he threw a punch at the soldier in front of him and grabbed the face of the other.
The right fist crushed the nose and the front skull of the soldier. The impact was so hard that the soldier’s face caved in and damaged his brain.
Xiaomao glanced at his left hand, which had seized the face of the remaining soldier. He clenched it!
PLOP
As if a waterlon burst, the hand crushed the human skull, causing blood, eyeballs, and mushy brain to explode from inside out because of the pressure.
Xiaomao bent down and broke the shackles on his ankles. He walked toward the backdoor and kicked it.

BAM
The doors were blasted open, flying and hitting a vehicle behind the custody van.
Xiaomao gritted his teeth and leaped out of the van. He stomped on the police car’s front hood, which had been escorting the custody van.
As Xiaomao put his weight and strength into his feet, the hood dented, breaking the car’s front chassis and engine. He jumped up again, causing the car to flip.
Because of his muscle mory, Xiaomao attempted to summon a flying sword.
Nothing ca out. Xiaomao soon fell and landed in the middle of the road, cracking the concrete ground.
Fortunately, there was no car or vehicle as the military guys closed the roads.
Xiaomao was relieved that he didn’t harm any innocent civilians during his escape. He looked ahead and sprinted toward his house at full speed.
‘Mu-Nyang, Mir, Nyanko, Mama Cat!’

In his mind, Xiaomao only thought about his cats. He hoped that they would still be alive.
As Xiaomao’s sprinting speed rivaled that of a sports car, he zood on the road, leaving deep footprints on the concrete path. In less than a minute, he returned to his house, where the soldiers were still surrounding the house.
Xiaomao didn’t bother decelerating or slowing down. He grounded his teeth and raised his arms in front of himself.
In front of Xiaomao, an APC parked there, blocking the road in front of the neighbor’s house. He kicked the ground and ramd the vehicle with his arms, body, and speed.
BOOM
As if Xiaomao had beco as strong as Hulk, the APC was sent flying. However, he lost his montum after the impact, and his arms hurt.
Because of the numbing pain, Xiaomao didn’t notice that his face shape-shifted and looked similar to a cat’s face. His human ears shrunk, and two fluffy cat ears erged on his head.

The soldiers and the agents in the area stared at Xiaomao in disbelief, but the elites of the army showed no hesitation. They scread with all air in their lungs.
“WE’RE UNDER ATTACK! OPEN FIRE!”
Xiaomao also bellowed, “What are you trying to do with my cats?!”
TATATATATA
The soldiers unleashed hails of bullets at Xiaomao. The latter raised his arms and blocked it.
TING TING TING
Magically, his physique was sturdier and harder than steel. Rifle shells failed to penetrate his skin.
Xiaomao’s vision turned yellow, and his heart rate spiked. He charged at a black sedan, where soldiers in green were hiding behind and shooting guns at him.
BAM
Xiaomao tackled the black sedan, sending the vehicle flying and crushing the four soldiers behind it against the other vehicles.

SWISH
Two large tentacles erged from the flesh on Xiaomao’s back. One of the red arms extended and pierced through the chest of a soldier, who ca out from Xiaomao’s house. The other arm snatched the black-suit man by the head and squeezed him.
SPLASH
The naless agent was squashed in Xiaomao’s tentacle to death!
“MONSTER!!”
The soldiers were shocked. So of them secretly brought out their phones and snapped pictures of Xiaomao in his monster form before they resud shooting.
After being showered by tal bullets, blood got in Xiaomao’s eyes. He ignored the changes in his body and rushed into his house.
Upon getting to the house, Xiaomao looked left and right. He entered the living room first.
The living room was a ss. The soldiers flipped the couch and furniture over. All contents in the drawers and containers had been thrown to the ground.
Xiaomao ran into the kitchen next. This was the place where his cats usually gathered other than his bedroom.
In the kitchen, two of the soldiers had been waiting for Xiaomao’s arrival. They ducked as if they were avoiding sothing.
CLINK CLINK
Rolling on the floor were three can-like grenades.
Moreover, Nyanko was cowering under the kitchen table, not far from the grenades and Xiaomao.
NYA! (PAPA! I’M SCARED!)
“NYANKO!”
Without caring for his life, Xiaomao jumped and covered the grenades with his own body.

BOOM
The HE grenades detonated under Xiaomao’s chest and belly, yet they failed to knock him up in the air.
Xiaomao stopped moving after the detonation.
NYA! (PAPA!)
Despite the cry, Nyanko continued to shiver under the kitchen table, unable to move. She was too scared to move.
Two soldiers behind the kitchen counter peeked out. They waited and called their colleagues outside the house.
“Target neutralized! Need backup and dics!”

BANG
Two new tentacles shot out from Xiaomao’s back and pierced through the counter and their heads. Xiaomao retracted the new arms and slowly stood up.
His favorite shirt beca a burnt rag. Xiaomao tore his shirt away and pulled the shrapnel from his chest.
Ignoring the soldiers, Xiaomao knelt and reached out to Nyanko.
“Co here. You’re safe now.”
