Chapter 510: Divine Stone Dungeon, Matchmaking Event**
The news of Bai Yiyuan and Lin Moyu forcefully breaking into the capital of Sakura Country and destroying the headquarters of the Black Dragon Society quickly spread, causing a huge uproar.
So people thought Bai Yiyuan was too overbearing, acting without presenting any evidence, which was seen as a slap in the face to Sakura Country. They even escalated Bai Yiyuan’s actions to the level of the Divine Sumr Empire, accusing the empire of being equally domineering and unreasonable.
However, many others supported Bai Yiyuan’s actions, believing that anyone colluding with Abyss Demons deserved no rcy. Ultimately, everyone had to admit that might makes right. Bai Yiyuan had the power, and so did the Divine Sumr Empire, leaving no one daring to voice opposition.
Even Sakura Country itself did not dare to protest, clearly choosing to swallow this loss silently. Being weaker, they had no other choice.
In the White God’s courtyard, Lin Moyu continued to serve tea to Bai Yiyuan and ng Anwen.
"Teacher, about the relationship between Sakura Country and our Divine Sumr Empire..."
Bai Yiyuan interrupted Lin Moyu, "Don’t worry, nothing will happen."
ng Anwen added, "Sakura Country wouldn’t dare to go to war with us."
Bai Yiyuan said, "Those guys have limited strength. If I get annoyed one day, I could wipe them out by myself."
Lin Moyu knew Bai Yiyuan indeed had that capability.
ng Anwen laughed, "Stop boasting. You can’t destroy Sakura Country unless the old man steps in."
Lin Moyu looked puzzled, "Are there hidden experts in Sakura Country?"
ng Anwen explained, "There is one. In the ancestral temple of Sakura Country, there is a deity of thought. Once awakened, it can exert the power of a level 98 deity for a short ti, just a step below a half-step transcendent deity."
Lin Moyu was slightly surprised, "Then why have they never used it?"
ng Anwen chuckled, "It’s their trump card, not to be used lightly. Moreover, each activation requires at least ten years to recover, and that’s assuming the ancestral temple and Sakura Country remain intact."
Lin Moyu asked, "How long can it stay awake each ti?"
Bai Yiyuan replied, "Each awakening lasts only 24 hours."
Twenty-four hours is quite long, enough to accomplish many things, such as causing massive destruction and casualties in the Divine Sumr Empire. In the Divine Sumr Empire, only the half-step transcendent deity could stop it.
This was Sakura Country’s confidence. Despite Bai Yiyuan’s harsh words, he couldn’t actually destroy them.
Lin Moyu didn’t expect such a small country to have such a trump card. However, this card would only be used in a desperate situation.
The deity of thought was similar to the angelic spirit Lin Moyu encountered in the Wind and Thunder Sea, ford by the convergence of vast thoughts.
The strength of such deities depended on the quantity and quality of thoughts. Angelic spirits were among the weaker deities of thought.
Sakura Country had at least hundreds of millions of people, far more than the Holy See. Centuries of accumulation had made their deity of thought increasingly powerful.
Lin Moyu asked, "Do we have a deity of thought?"
ng Anwen shook his head, "No, our Divine Sumr Empire doesn’t believe in such things."
Bai Yiyuan said, "We tried it once, but an ancestor left a ssage saying it was detrintal to the Divine Sumr Empire, so we stopped. Even the statues we had were dismantled."
Lin Moyu found it strange but didn’t dwell on it. He had more questions to ask Antares next ti.
Suddenly, their communicators rang simultaneously, and they received a ssage.
Lin Moyu read it and murmured, "Divine Stone Dungeon, what is that?"
ng Anwen sighed, "Ti flies, it’s been ten years already."
Bai Yiyuan sipped his tea, "The Divine Stone Dungeon opens every ten years. The military invites people to conquer it, and the rewards are good."
Lin Moyu showed interest. The Divine Stone Dungeon sounded impressive.
Bai Yiyuan laughed, patting Lin Moyu’s shoulder, "Don’t get your hopes up. This dungeon isn’t for you."
ng Anwen explained, "The rewards are secondary. The dungeon is complex and the battles intense, serving as a real combat test for newcors. It’s a competition."
"You, however, are invited as a guest, not to conquer the dungeon."
Lin Moyu asked, "Who will participate?"
ng Anwen replied, "Mostly military personnel, as the dungeon is controlled by the military. Besides them, each major family can recomnd one or two mbers."
Lin Moyu wondered, "How do they form teams?"
The participants were all geniuses, proud and unyielding. Forming teams might be challenging.
Bai Yiyuan smiled, "It’s a solo dungeon, no need for teams."
"By the way, Yi Yi might participate."
Lin Moyu’s eyes lit up. He hadn’t seen Ning Yi Yi for a long ti. He had tried to contact her but couldn’t. He knew she was likely undergoing special training, a common occurrence in large families.
ng Anwen agreed, "Yi Yi is likely to go. Ning Tairan has long coveted the final reward of the Divine Stone Dungeon."
Lin Moyu was curious, "What is the final reward?"
ng Anwen said, "Half a talent divine stone. You already have a complete one, so this half is useless to you."
"Can half a stone be used?" Lin Moyu was puzzled. A complete stone had miraculous effects, but half?
ng Anwen confird, "Yes, but the effect is greatly reduced, with only a 30% chance of awakening talent."
A complete stone guaranteed talent awakening. Half a stone had only a 30% chance, even with supplentary thods.
It seed unfair, but even a 1% chance was valuable.
Bai Yiyuan grinned, "Besides the rewards and competition, the dungeon serves another purpose."
He looked mysterious, "It’s also a matchmaking event for young people from major families."
Lin Moyu was stunned. He didn’t expect that.
The young participants weren’t just the dungeon conquerors but also many others from major families.
These young people, usually proud and aloof, would interact and sotis form friendships or even romantic relationships.
Over ti, the event evolved from a gathering to a matchmaking event.
There were ten days until the dungeon opened. The three of them, as invited guests, weren’t in a hurry.
The dungeon was near the fourth fortress on the original battlefield. ng Anwen could teleport them there in minutes.
They decided to leave in seven days.
The dungeon hall at Xia Jing Academy was always bustling. Hundreds to thousands of people gathered outside, forming teams or selling items.
Students spent most of their ti here, besides resting and attending classes.
Lin Moyu arrived through the teleportation array, drawing everyone’s attention. The hall fell silent.
Lin Moyu felt helpless. Fa had its downsides.
"Lin Junior!"
A pleasant voice called out.
Lin Moyu turned and smiled, "Hello, Senior Shu."
