Chapter 4660: You Should Know, You Can’t Kill
"Wake up!"
Lin Moyu blocked the light from the world core for Sovereign September, sending forth a surging wave of life energy.
Sovereign September jerked awake, her eyes flying open as she shouted, "Who are you?"
Her voice was full of wariness, and the pressure of a Sovereign swept out, but it had no effect on Lin Moyu at all.
Lin Moyu said, "Put away your aura, it’s useless against . I was asked by Sovereign Sun to co in and find you."
Sovereign September was stunned for a mont. "Big Brother sent you?"
"It’s more accurate to say he hired and paid the price."
Sovereign September instinctively asked, "What price?"
Lin Moyu chuckled, "You’ll know when we get back. It was tough finding you, but at least you’re still alive. As expected of a Sovereign your survival skills are really sothing."
Sovereign September cald down now and gave Lin Moyu a once over. "You’re only peak Chaos realm, how did you get here?"
Lin Moyu replied, "Sotis strength and realm aren’t directly related; you’re a Sovereign, you should know that’s just the basics."
Was this a minor thing?
She, a dignified Sovereign, was treading on thin ice here, death ever lurking.
Yet a re peak Chaos cultivator could stroll in? Was that really a small matter?
She pressed on, "How long have you been here?"
Lin Moyu thought. "By the ti scale of the Chaotic Wilderness... several years, maybe."
Sovereign September exclaid, "Impossible! You can’t have gotten in here in only a few years!"
Lin Moyu answered, "I know you’ve been trapped here ten thousand years or more, but that’s the truth. Anyway, let’s cut to the chase you want to refine this world core, right?"
She replied, "So that’s what it’s called. World core... You an, this is another world?"
Lin Moyu was a bit speechless. "You don’t know anything how did you even get here then?"
Sovereign September said, "I just followed my intuition. I felt that as long as I could refine this thing, I could go ho."
"A Sovereign’s intuition really isn’t bad," Lin Moyu thought privately, then continued aloud, "Your sense is right. Refining this just might lead ho. But you nearly died trying."
Sovereign September admitted, "Yes... I almost died just now."
At least she was self aware.
With a strange look, she studied Lin Moyu, unable to fathom how he’d made it here in such a short ti, when it had taken her over ten thousand years to find the right way through the vast underground maze, and thousands more years to cautiously reach this spot.
And yet, he’d managed in just a few years unbelievable.
Lin Moyu asked, "I saw the palm prints you left above. What did they an?"
He had a guess but wanted a definite answer.
Sovereign September explained, "Many tis I was teleported back from the underground maze to the surface every ti to a different place. After so many tis, I gathered so experience and mapped out the extent of the maze."
"From the size of the maze, I calculated the depth and tried to find the normal route. Those palm prints were ways of testing it."
Lin Moyu asked, "So all those palm prints are places you were teleported to?"
"Yes. Each print is exactly the sa distance apart, forming a complete circle. I struck every transmission point, so the maze couldn’t send to the sa spot again."
"I just tried over and over, failing and disrupting the teleports until I finally found the right path."
Lin Moyu said, "Well, not the smartest thod, but it worked. You about killed yourself, though."
"Alright, I’ll go deal with this thing. As for you..."
Lin Moyu considered for a mont it was troubleso.
If he let her follow, she’d die in the mist he could pass through with ease.
But if she didn’t follow, who knew what might happen behind his back.
To keep her absolutely safe, he’d have to put her in his soul world or his divine realm, but neither place could allow outsiders in they were his innermost secrets.
After so thought, he said, "I’ll set up a formation. You stay put inside it."
Sovereign September, understanding her current plight, didn’t object.
Lin Moyu’s mastery of formations had reached a new level; the one he set up now faintly surpassed the laws of the world.
But a formation alone wouldn’t suffice the Forbidden Zone’s power was too strong. With the Calamity Staff as the formation’s core and Chaos Gem present, he could guarantee her safety.
Still, being a Sovereign, she saw at once how extraordinary his formation skill was unlike anything she’d seen.
Soon the formation was complete and running. Lin Moyu tossed the Calamity Staff to the center.
At the sight of the staff, Sovereign September’s face changed. "How did you get that? What’s your relationship to the Calamity Sovereign?"
Lin Moyu had no intention of hiding it. "You could say I’m his will’s heir."
Sovereign September’s eyes were full of wariness, even hostility, mixed with tangled emotions, as if wrestling with secret thoughts.
Lin Moyu said, "I know you have history with the Calamity Sovereign. I don’t know the exact details, but you should know that you can’t kill ."
"And things about the Calamity Sovereign aren’t simple. Right now, the situation in the Chaotic Wilderness is complicated. I suggest you cooperate just stay safely in formation and wait for to finish, then I’ll take you ho."
Sovereign September asked, "What’s happened in the Chaotic Wilderness?"
"You’ll know when we get back. No point in explaining now live or die, your choice. You have ten breaths to decide."
This wasn’t the place for delay. Without saying anything more, Lin Moyu waited.
After pondering, Sovereign September finally flew into the formation.
It activated, Chaos Gem controlling the Calamity Staff and overseeing the whole thing.
Lin Moyu turned to the world core he wanted it, and everything inside.
"Let’s see, Azure Dragon, do you have any backup? Can you really co back?"
Mist appeared ahead. Lin Moyu flew straight toward it, unchanged in expression.
"Careful!" called Sovereign September behind him, but Lin Moyu didn’t react.
She watched in stunned amazent as he passed freely through the deadly mist sothing lethal even at her peak.
That deadly mist could not harm Lin Moyu.
How could he do it?
She’d never imagined anyone could move through such mist, certainly not a re peak Chaos cultivator. Yet it happened right before her eyes.
The world core glimred again, its light gathering on Lin Moyu, a force piercing straight for his soul.
But Lin Moyu ignored it completely.
