Chapter 4639: Slaughtering the Shadow Bugs
Now that the great tribulation had reached a certain point, Lin Moyu was fully aware of his position. He was both a calamity responder and an enemy of the world, and under the direction of the world’s laws, he now had countless adversaries. The mont he returned to chaos, trouble would co without end.
Of course, he wasn’t afraid he just found it botherso.
For normal problems, the undying spirit soldiers were enough. If multiple Sovereigns or quasi Sovereigns ca, that would be a bit troubleso. So having another strong subservient wasn’t a bad idea.
"In the end, I’m just too lazy to handle everything myself!" Lin Moyu laughed at himself. Under his orders, the Shadow Bugs reassembled and flew off into the distance.
The world’s laws really did want him dead; sending him into this strange interspace after the space passage was shattered was no coincidence.
This place was one of the Shadow Bugs’ lairs. There are many special rifts in the world, most of which are empty, but a few are inhabited by extrely dangerous beings. Any creature here was guaranteed to be trendously powerful and unique.
This place had Shadow Bugs what Lin Moyu encountered was just a tiny fraction. Now, those Shadow Bugs were undying spirits. No one but Lin Moyu could detect it, making them the perfect tool to locate other Shadow Bugs.
Despite the word ’bug’ in their na, Shadow Bugs aren’t actual "bug race." They are born naturally and have nothing to do with the insect clan.
They have their own communication thods. Because they flit through spaceti, constantly shifting in great rings, it’s nearly impossible to track them by conventional ans by sight or by soul sense. Only when they sense an enemy do they appear in the real world, but even then, they remain projections.
However, their kind can always find one another.
Lin Moyu now used his own Shadow Bugs to find others. It was a thod only he could use. Even the world itself wouldn’t expect anyone to revive and control a Shadow Bug.
Lin Moyu’s spell had already transcended the world’s restrictions; relying on his own "Undying Dao," he’d beco a world unto himself. So when he used his spell, the world could do nothing, and Shadow Bugs reborn as undying spirits were also out of the world’s grasp.
Following his Shadow Bug army, Lin Moyu soon found another group. There was nothing visible ahead, but the information from his undying spirits told him there was another group another million. When he looked with the Eye of Undeath, he still saw nothing they were not in this spaceti, their soul flas invisible.
Only as he got closer and gained their attention would they lock onto him, project into the real world, and let him see their figures.
But since he now knew where they were, his plan was simple.
With a wave, the Fla of World Annihilation shot forth, erupting into a sea of fire spanning a trillion miles, centered on the Shadow Bugs’ location.
The Fla of World Annihilation was the best possible weapon against them. The Shadow Bugs had no resistance to it; when they returned to real spaceti, they’d be instantly burned to ash unable to survive even a fraction of an instant.
While the bugs were elsewhere, they never realized they were already in mortal danger in the real world. Soon, they completed another round of spaceti jumping and returned to reality where, in a blink, they were incinerated.
With such feeble souls, none survived the fire for longer than a tenth of a second.
A million Shadow Bugs so dreaded even by Sovereigns were wiped out without a sound.
Very quickly, the Fla of World Annihilation turned to Immortal Fla, and the dead bugs beca undying spirits, continuing their work by scouting for more of their kind.
Now there were two groups, and their efficiency increased dramatically; they went in separate directions. Lin Moyu also split off a soul avatar to help. To him, fighting Shadow Bug hordes ant nothing more than casting flas no great battles or effort needed.
Group after group burned away and turned into undying spirits.
Two beca four, four beca eight the number of Shadow Bug hordes under Lin Moyu’s command multiplied, and their efficiency soared.
Chaos Gem said, "Master, even with a Shadow Bug Queen, you’ll at most tie up just one of your enemies."
Lin Moyu understood the implication: in Chaos Gem’s view, with Lin Moyu’s power, even the Queen wasn’t strictly necessary so wasting much ti here wasn’t required.
"Tying up one of them is only a last resort tactic; the Queen’s real purpose is elsewhere," Lin Moyu said with a grin.
Chaos Gem thought for a mont. "The Queen has much stronger command over spaceti... Master, are you planning...?"
Lin Moyu answered, "Yes. He restrained with a small world, so I need a counterasure."
Chaos Gem finally understood Lin Moyu’s intent he wanted to use the unique abilities of the Queen to retrieve the small world the Calamity Sovereign had taken.
Against the Calamity Sovereign, a King would never be enough; only the Queen stood a chance.
Still, Chaos Gem didn’t quite see the need. "Master could just act directly even if those are your friends or family, it doesn’t matter that much if you have to kill them. As long as you win in the end, your sister becos supre, and you get a Ti Essence Stone, you could use the world’s laws to bring that small world back from another ti, so your friends would be revived."
He thought it was simple: just kill now, deal with resurrection later.
In all the worlds he’d seen, supre beings did this all the ti so threats like these ant nothing.
Lin Moyu smiled silently.
Chaos Gem, after all, wasn’t truly alive. He was detached from life and death, without much emotion.
Lin Moyu, though, was a living person. Even knowing his loved ones could be revived, he couldn’t just kill them himself.
Besides...
"What if he erased every trace of their existence? Don’t forget, he’s a master of the Way of Ti, and he might have more than one Ti Essence Stone."
Chaos Gem froze for a mont; Lin Moyu was right. What if that happened?
It wasn’t impossible there had been tis when even supre beings couldn’t revive soone.
"So," Lin Moyu said, "I need several plans. Simply killing and reviving must only be a last resort."
