Chapter 4334: The Only One

For a full hour, Lin Moyu lost count of how many tis the thunder roared. His ears buzzed constantly, almost deafened.

His vast undead army, ford into an endless dragon like tide, continued assaulting the palace entrance over and over again yet without exception, none advanced even a half step through the thunder barrier.

That formation was a wall of iron and copper, absolutely impenetrable. No undead minion, no matter their number, could pass.

With a thought, Lin Moyu recalled them all. He had proven it conclusively undead were useless here.

He also questioned Ling Feng and Bai Xiyin, the two undead resurrected from corpses, but they offered no solutions. The only thod they knew was brute force and even that, pointless.

Without breaching the palace, there was no way to see its interior array. With no information, true cracking was impossible.

This formation was designed without a loophole.

Lin Moyu clenched his teeth. He’d have to try it himself.

His passive ability allowed his undead minions and domain to share his damage. His survivability exceeded even many Chaos Greater Completion cultivators.

If even that did not work, then only one possibility remained.

He shot toward the entrance.

At the instant he left the corridor, blinding light struck his eyes.

BOOM.

A torrent of massive force slamd into him, catapulting his body backward with irresistible might. Like an invisible colossus pressing a palm into his chest, he was shoved aside.

His body was intact, unscathed yet inside his soul, a bolt of god thunder detonated.

A thunderbolt not from outside, but from within his soul itself.

"Ugh!"

Lin Moyu spasd, his sight turning black. For an instant, he was annihilated.

The very next breath, his soul reford, bathed in violet light.

Reborn instantly, he found himself back in the corridor his attempt destroyed.

He had died.

His passive abilities had been sealed off. His undead, his domainnone of them had responded. They could not absorb the strike for him.

Lin Moyu stood frozen, stunned. Then realization dawned.

Of course.

This place... was linked to the Catastrophic Supre.

How deep were his thods, how unfathomable his arrays?

If the Supre’s hand had sealed even his passive arts, why be surprised?

"I see it now!"

Instead of despair, exhilaration blazed inside Lin Moyu.

Because at last, he had touched upon the truth.

This palatial gate... was not a simple barrier. It was a detector.

And there was only one tool that could bypass it the Disaster Bearing Boat.

That soul thunder had divine might vast enough to annihilate even Chaos Full Completions. If one were to face it unaided, even if not killed outright, grievous injury was certain.

If even Full Completions could not cross, then why did the Phoenix Ancestor say he sought "an outsider to help"?

Because what he sought was not assistance but a specific person.

That person was tied to the Supre of Catastrophe.

The one inheriting his will. The one who dared step into the Supre’s arrangents to contend with Dao itself.

And such a person would bear one unmistakable mark: they would possess the Disaster Bearing Boat.

If you had it, you could enter. Without it, no one could pass.

This was the key of the entire arrangent. The Supre had left it to ensure that only the destined one could trigger it.

Lin Moyu finally smiled, certain.

He retrieved the Disaster Bearing Boat. With a thought, it rose into the air and sailed toward the palace barrier.

CRACK.

Soul thunder fell again.

But this ti its power slamd into the boat, exploding harmlessly across its hull. The entire vessel shook, rocked back violently but did not retreat.

Lin Moyu laughed aloud.

"It worked... it’s real!"

He urged the vessel forward.

In a tide of endless thunderbolts, the Disaster Bearing Boat wavered, but moved steadily into the palace.

At the instant its bow breached the gate, the thunder... ceased.

But then

BOOM!

From the void above descended a colossal great sword, cleaving downward without pause.

There was no possibility of dodging. The blade locked its target.

It crashed into the boat, sending it careening sideways.

Lin Moyu clung to balance, his mind racing as another great sword ford from nothing, crashing down.

One after another, swords materialized endlessly, battering the arcane vessel like a ship in a storm.

"The Catastrophic Supre..." Lin Moyu muttered through gritted teeth, "...left nothing to chance!"

Strike after strike. Each layer another array, stronger than the last.

If any intruder had sohow forced their way through the thunder barrier with a treasure the mont they arrived, they would et even greater barrages.

Over a hundred formations layered together, redundantly insuring the trap.

Only the Disaster Bearing Boat could withstand them.

And only one capable of analyzing symbols like Lin Moyu could hope to navigate the arrays.

He observed carefully while controlling the boat, his Immortal Sight scanning. Each formation could not be fully "broken." At most, he could temporarily pause them.

Even so, it was enough.

He quickly identified the one conjuring the swords. After minutes of analysis, a faint pause in its rhythm betrayed its weakness.

But before he could actthe boat was hurled sideways once again.

Suddenly, he was swallowed by another formation.

This ti, the void split into showers of arrows. Infinite rain fell upon the boat, nailing into its hull with force.

He steadied himself, squinting at its patterns. With difficulty, he began reading the confusing cycles of rune light.

But no sooner had he found a clue than

BOOM!

The vessel spun again, tossed into a new array, where a tide of illusory warriors closed in from every direction, blades in hand.

Strike after strike, endless illusions hacking, battering, stabbing.

The vessel lurched and shuddered, forced again and again into another array.

On and on through storms of axes, forests of spears, seas of arrows an endless nightmare of formation assaults.

Ti dragged. Hours gave way to days.

By the ti a hundred days had passed, Lin Moyu had been like a leaf, whirled through endless tides of arrays.

Strike upon strike, wave upon wave forged in agony.

But amid the infinite barrages, a whisper of understanding flickered in his heart.

The solution... was not to dismantle each formation.

His lips twisted upward.

"No... the solution is to target the main array."

Every set of blades, arrows, gods of thunder all were subarrays. Only one master array controlled them all.

Hidden sowhere, cloaked behind Daoist cunning. If he could not find that, he would circle here forever.

Lin Moyu’s blood shimred in his eyes.

"This is no death trap. This is the Supre’s lesson. The key lies behind everything."

The harder it grew, the surer he felt.

Exhilaration surged through him.

This was not only survival it was also the highest teaching in array craft.

The Catastrophic Supre’s comprehension of formations... far exceeded Lin Moyu’s imagination.

He had never felt such awe, nor such drive.

"If I didn’t have this boat... even Chaos Full Completion would perish here. No chance."

This was proof Supre’s thods lay far beyond Perfection level.

Day by day. Month by month.

After one hundred days, falling endlessly across sword, spear, illusion, thunder

Finally, at last, Lin Moyu caught a glimpse.

A rhythm beneath the chaos. A pulse hidden deep below.

Through storm after storm of attacks, Lin Moyu’s eyes glead with light

"I see it... the path forward!"
