Chapter 4281: The Discernnt Beast’s Request
Lin Moyu heard the voice of the Discernnt Beast a unique being that had slumbered for countless years within the Five Domain World.
He had always existed in the virtual realm, respected by all the Emperors. No one knew his true origins, only that his presence seed to stretch back to the dawn of creation.
Several Emperors had benefited from his guidance, and a few of the second generation Emperors had even been raised up by him personally.
Even among cultivators who had reached the Eternal stage, all treated him with a certain regard, sotis even seeking his advice.
For the Discernnt Beast, to hear was to see; within both the virtual and real realms, very little escaped his notice.
Upon hearing his voice, Lin Moyu’s gaze crossed the void and realms to land upon the Discernnt Beast.
The Discernnt Beast remained in his dwelling and had not left.
He seed to sense Lin Moyu’s attention, lifting his head and eting his gaze.
In that mont, Lin Moyu saw clearly: the Discernnt Beast was at the Chaos Realm, though he had yet to complete full chaotification an entry level Chaos Realm.
That he had hidden undetected at this level within the domain, without the rules expelling him, was truly strange.
Watching for a mont, Lin Moyu spotted the clue:
The Discernnt Beast was cloaked in a strange force, obscuring his aura and deceiving the domain rules making his true level indistinct to others.
No wonder Lin Moyu had been unable to gauge his true strength before back then, not even understanding what rules really ant.
But now, Lin Moyu saw the truth: the Discernnt Beast was not a native of the Five Domain World; he had originated in another domain, one that now also belonged to Lin Moyu.
Lin Moyu’s voice crossed the void and echoed on the Discernnt Beast’s island, "You’re the rules administrator of the Lingmiao Domain, aren’t you?"
The Discernnt Beast flattered, "As expected of the domain lord you saw through ."
In reality, Lin Moyu had been half guessing. Confirming the Discernnt Beast’s identity, he now understood how and why this beast had entered, and how he’d hidden for so long.
When the Lingmiao Domain was on the verge of destruction, it had launched all its power and activated the domain gem, allowing it to enter the Five Domain World.
At the ti, the Five Domain World was newly ford, and the Heavenly Void Domain was under attack; the Fifth Generation Heavenly Void Palace Master seized the opportunity to leave an avatar in the palace while keeping his true body outside, attempting to break free and change fate.
He failed, however, and instead went into hiding to recover and heal, drawing power from the domain core for many years.
During this slumber, the Lingmiao Domain arrived timing that was almost too perfect to be a coincidence.
Even with the domain gem, normally no outsider could enter so easily; it just happened that the Heavenly Void Domain was breached.
If even the tiniest thing had been off, the Lingmiao Domain would not have made it in.
As its rules administrator, the Discernnt Beast entered alongside, slipping out of the Lingmiao Domain and into the Five Domain World.
Lin Moyu worked it all out and guessed who was really behind it: "The one who had you stay here did he wear green or white robes?"
The Discernnt Beast paused, then helplessly replied, "Both."
Just as expected, the whole sche had been plotted by both the green and white robed elders.
Lin Moyu asked again, "What were you left here to do?"
The Discernnt Beast answered, "To keep an eye on the Fifth Generation, to watch for any sudden moves. But your strategy was flawless defeating him outright. Discernnt bows to you."
Lin Moyu understood: the Discernnt Beast was a backup arranged by the white robed elder. If the Palace Master had tried to damage the domain, the Beast was there to move against him.
Though not as strong, the Beast surely had special skills not just raw power.
But since Lin Moyu had handled it, the Discernnt Beast never needed to act.
"What do you want from ?" Lin Moyu asked.
The Discernnt Beast replied, "Now that the Lingmiao Domain belongs to you, I am still entangled with it by karmic fate. I beg the domain lord to sever these bindings."
"You want freedom?" Lin Moyu clarified.
The Discernnt Beast sighed, "Who does not crave freedom? As rules administrator, I should live and die with my domain. Thanks to my benefactor, I escaped to live here."
"My benefactor helped advance to the Chaos Realm, but also foretold that only the lord of this domain could release from karmic bondage to grant real freedom."
"I’ve lived countless years and seen life and death’s cycle, but only freedom do I covet."
He spoke sincerely. In the chaos, most cultivators sought strength, but at the core, all sought freedom. The Candle Dragon was the sa, and so was the Discernnt Beast all rule keepers yearning for release.
But only Lin Moyu could lift the Lingmiao Domain’s shackles.
After speaking, the Discernnt Beast waited anxiously for Lin Moyu’s reply.
Lin Moyu didn’t take long to answer: "Once I enter chaos and find the Lingmiao Domain’s true body, I will set you free."
The Discernnt Beast was overjoyed. "If you wish to locate it, I can help."
"Please tell ," said Lin Moyu.
The Discernnt Beast explained, "Once you’re in chaos, you can try to link this domain to the Lingmiao Domain; then a spatial channel will open between them."
"But such a channel will cross much chaos and be unstable but it will let you find the Lingmiao Domain."
Traveling by domain link channel was normal in vast chaos, even though it was treacherous.
Lin Moyu thought it through. "It’s a good thod. Though there may be trouble on the way, it beats searching aimlessly. I’ll try once I’m in chaos."
Not only did he intend to find Lingmiao Domain, but also the Science Dao Domain and the Vast World.
His plan was to draw all these domains together for easier managent.
If sothing happened, he would not be able to reach them otherwise.
The Discernnt Beast bowed, "Many thanks, domain lord; I’ll take my leave."
His consciousness withdrew, his eyes closing, as though asleep.
Projecting the soul into the domain core took great energy. Especially outside chaos, where no chaos qi could be absorbed, so conserving power mattered.
After giving his word, Lin Moyu focused once again on himself.
Within his soul world, his spell stars shone and grew ever brighter.
But the Chaos Seed held back, not yet rging the arts.
He waited. Lin Moyu waited with him.
For a whole day, until the will of the Dao swept in like a hurricane...
