Chapter 3949: Wounding to Heal
The Redstone Emperor felt like he was about to explode. With a shout of "Go quickly!" he signaled Lin Moyu to leave at once.
Lin Moyu noticed the Redstone Emperor’s soul was becoming chaotic; in the Eye of the Undead, his imnse soul fla was flickering wildly, filled with disorder.
"What’s happening?"
Lin Moyu was startled how could an Emperor’s soul beco so chaotic? And the Redstone Emperor was constantly drinking his own blood to purify his soul.
"Purifying the soul..."
Suddenly, Lin Moyu realized why the Redstone Emperor always had to purify his soul: it was being polluted, and the source was the claw marks on the giant stone. The stone was his true body; when the body was hard, the soul was affected as well. The claw marks contained a special power that could affect even an Emperor.
Lin Moyu didn’t leave, even as the Redstone Emperor kept urging him. Instead, he considered how to help solve the problem.
The Redstone Emperor’s expression beca more and more twisted, until he couldn’t even speak, and finally his avatar shattered completely. The stone beneath his feet rumbled, and a muffled roar echoed from within it sounded like the Redstone Emperor was locked in battle with sothing inside the stone. The fight was happening inside the giant stone, a place Lin Moyu couldn’t reach.
Boom!
A terrifying force burst from the stone, shattering the void and sending shockwaves in all directions. Lin Moyu was blasted away, his body instantly torn apart and his soul annihilated. In a flash of purple light, his soul was reborn, and he found himself tens of millions of miles away. The shockwave continued outward, tearing space apart wherever it went.
Now Lin Moyu understood why the area around the Redstone Emperor was so desolate no one could survive such forces. If a world had been nearby, it would have been destroyed instantly, erased from both the Soul Void and the real world.
Even from tens of millions of miles away, the stone was still enormous in his view. Now, Lin Moyu finally saw sothing new: the claw marks on the stone were glowing faintly. Inside the claw marks, countless blue white lights flickered, forming strange runes not divine runes, but sothing else. The claw marks pulsed rhythmically, emitting an unknown power that seeped into the Redstone Emperor’s true body.
"It seems the claw marks are the source. Who or what could have left sothing so terrifying? Are the being that made these marks and the strange creatures attacking the stone the sa?"
Boom!
Another shockwave erupted, and Lin Moyu was shattered again then reborn in purple light, again tens of millions of miles away. Ignoring life and death, he instantly returned to observe the claw marks. This was a rare opportunity he couldn’t miss.
He sensed that these mysterious runes might hide a great secret, perhaps related to the ultimate mysteries of the world or the fabled "final step."
Boom!
Another shockwave, another death, another rebirth. Each ti, Lin Moyu returned imdiately to study the runes. The shockwaves ca about once a minute; he died each ti, but it didn’t matter he was an expert at dying, unique in all the world.
Gradually, Lin Moyu made so discoveries. Deep within the runes, he sensed an aura identical to his own origin secret art.
"Source Bird? Or a similar being?"
He imdiately thought of the Source Bird his origin secret art was refined from its blood. But if such a creature existed, there might be others like it, all extrely powerful.
He continued his research. After an hour and sixty deaths, Lin Moyu made more progress. He couldn’t understand the runes or link them to divine runes; they seed to belong to a different system. Still, he felt there must be a connection he just couldn’t see it yet. To truly unravel these runes would take more than a mont, perhaps even thousands or millions of years.
For now, he morized them, imprinting every detail in his mind. The runes weren’t many just three but their details were intricate. Lin Moyu, with his unique talent, beca like a microscope, recording every feature, even those a hundred thousand tis finer than a hair. After dozens of deaths, he finally morized them all.
The struggle inside the Redstone Emperor continued without pause. Lin Moyu realized this couldn’t go on, but he seed unable to help.
After so thought, he muttered, "Maybe this is worth a try."
Origin Secret Art: Gather Power!
Origin energy surged, and Lin Moyu’s realm soared, nearly stepping into that mysterious half step realm. The world’s power tried to expel him, but he pressed on, aiming a palm strike at the claw marks.
This strike was far weaker than the one he used against the Great Dao Desolate Beast King he dared not use full force, lest the Redstone Emperor be unable to withstand it.
A palm print ford in the void, gathering countless Great Dao forces. Normally, these would annihilate each other, but under so mysterious influence, they fused together. The fusion caused a mutation, creating Great Dao origin energy that raised the palm’s power to a new level.
The palm struck the claw marks. The stone shuddered, another shockwave erupted, and Lin Moyu was annihilated again. After rebirth, he rushed to inspect the result: a palm print about a hundred ters deep was embedded in the stone. For such a vast stone, it was barely a scratch, but the original claw mark was now partly replaced by the palm print, and the strange aura of the claw mark faded.
"It worked!"
Wounding to heal Lin Moyu was delighted. His idea had been correct.
