704: 694 704: 694 In front of the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel, Wen Wen sat in a recliner basking in the sun.
After the fog had dispersed, Nim City was bathed in abundant sunlight that felt warm and pleasant on the skin.
Tao Qingqing sat on a small stool, massaging Wen Wen’s legs like a little maid, while Four Cubs rubbed his shoulders and fed him shelled nuts.
As for Three Cubs…
Three Cubs, of course, used its snake body to crack the nuts, passed the kernels to Four Cubs, and ate the shells itself…
This wasn’t sothing Wen Wen had forced; it was just a habit for Three Cubs.
Habits really are a terrifying thing.
Suddenly, Wen Wen’s room door was pushed open, and Qiao Feiya peeked in.
Seeing Wen Wen’s landlord-like posture, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
“Co on out, let’s gather on the hotel rooftop.
We’re heading to Hunter Island.”
Wen Wen sat up, shaking his shoulders, “Hunter Island…
I hope it can give so surprises.”
Before leaving, Wen Wen glanced at Four Cubs, wondering if he should find another female monster in the Sanctuary to serve as his tool person.
Having pretty girls doing things like massaging, kneading the back, and feeding him was ultimately more pleasing to the eye.
However, Wen Wen looked at the silver crescent in his palm and dismissed the thought.
With that thing monitoring him, it wouldn’t be good to indulge in too much luxury.
After going upstairs with Qiao Feiya, Wen Wen found the rooftop already crowded with hundreds of Demon Hunters, making it quite packed.
Apart from one True Order and ten Upper Sequence from each district, there were special operatives like Song Ling and Tao Wen, as well as so Demon Hunters who were going to showcase products at the exchange.
That’s right, the Demon Hunter exchange was also a product showcase.
Craftsn from various districts would take this opportunity to unveil so of their research achievents or props useful for Demon Hunters.
If they received orders from other districts, they could go into mass production, earning profits for their districts.
The US and Canada District, for instance, liked to showcase high-tech products, such as the airplane Wen Wen was interested in buying…
George Qiao Ai’er was originally waiting with Xun Qing and others for Hunter Island’s transport.
Then he saw Qiao Feiya and Wen Wen laughing and talking together, showing a warm smile.
“Qiao Feiya is still so beautiful.
She’s finally made a friend.
This marks a historical breakthrough.”
However, George’s brow soon furrowed, as he recognized Wen Wen as the superpower user who had caused trouble for Illiyat and the Guide.
At first glance, he seed to be soone who was adept at finding trouble, and would he end up dragging his sister into it?
So George’s brain imdiately went to work, predicting the future based on the premise of Wen Wen interacting with Qiao Feiya.
The further he foresaw, the more he broke out in a cold sweat.
It was as if he could see Wen Wen being caught by a group of monsters with ulterior motives, with Qiao Feiya fighting those monsters to save Wen Wen, and finally dying atop a pile of bodies, exhausted…
Thus George’s gaze towards Wen Wen turned sharp, and the True Order Realm’s aura suddenly made Wen Wen feel imnse pressure.
Being targeted by a True-order Master was no laughing matter.
“What’s the situation here, is that George jealous of my abilities?” Wen Wen gripped the hilt of the Blood River Sword, ready to draw and fight at any mont.
Qiao Feiya, seeing the intense standoff between the two, covered her forehead and let out a long sigh.
She then walked up to George in a huff, stepped on his foot, and made George hop on one foot for quite a while.
Afterward, she educated George for quite a while, and only then did George start to act normal and lose so of his hostility toward Wen Wen.
She walked back to Wen Wen’s side and said with a full apology, “I’m sorry about just now, my brother’s mind doesn’t work very well, and sotis he has strange thoughts.
Please don’t take it personally.”
Wen Wen looked at Qiao Feiya with so pity.
Having a brother with a problematic mind must be very hard.
However, was George’s previous hostility toward him really just due to a faulty mind?
Wen Wen believed Qiao Feiya’s words but still couldn’t let his guard down.
Fortunately, now he had that mist, which gave Wen Wen so self-protective power in front of the True Order powers.
In fact, Qiao Feiya wasn’t lying at all, the Qiao Ai’er family mbers all had various issues to so extent.
Like Qiao Feiya herself, who had a hard ti making friends, her father often believed he was an insect, and her grandfather had a cross-dressing habit…
And George…
he had a severe case of little sister complex combined with delusions of his sister being hard!
That’s right, the scene of Qiao Feiya’s tragic death from before was all a fignt of George’s imagination!
In fact, part of the reason Qiao Feiya had been unable to make friends in the Golden Eagle District and had to develop in the Capital District was George’s ddling.
Wen Wen nodded, sowhat skeptical.
Regardless of whether George’s mind was truly faulty, being targeted by a True-order Master was a very dangerous thing.
After waiting for a mont, Wen Wen suddenly felt a sense of oppression as if there was sothing massive above him, making him barely able to breathe.
Looking up carefully, he saw nothing, but the sky seed blurry, as if sothing was there.
Then Wen Wen closed his right eye, leaving only his left eye open, and through the Mirror Eye, he finally made out what was in the sky.
There was a floating island above Nim City!
No, that wasn’t an island, but a giant whale swimming in the sky, the size of an island!
Compared to this whale, the True Order rank mist fish that were hundreds of ters long that Wen Wen had seen before were like tadpoles.
It was the largest creature Wen Wen had seen so far!
Such a behemoth, surely, was not of True Order but of Catastrophe Level!
As Wen Wen was stunned, about a dozen large fish with wings flew down.
All of these fish had six orange eyes and were over ten ters long, each with seats on their backs.
Xun Qing said loudly, “Everyone, please get on the fish.
All Demon Hunters from branches other than the Hunter Island headquarters need to ride the Six-eyed Flying Fish to get there.”
Wen Wen jumped onto the back of one of these flying fish and found that the fish’s back was very dry, and there was a breeze fluttering over it.
It seed that the fish flew by that breeze, and the wings were just for assistance.
The Six-eyed Flying Fish carried everyone into the sky, flew out of the clouds, and only then did Wen Wen finally see the full view of the giant whale and the island on top of it, complete with mountains, water, and forests.
Above the clouds, the giant whale no longer concealed its form, and the superpower users all exclaid in amazent.
Such terrifying creatures, challenging reality, were enough to inspire awe no matter how many tis one saw them.
Since Wen Wen had already glimpsed a part of the giant whale from the ground earlier, he was slightly calr than the others.
The flying fish headed straight for the back of the giant whale and stopped in a mountain square.
Wen Wen landed on the fish’s back, stepped lightly a couple of tis, and didn’t feel any difference from the ground.
Then the giant whale vibrated, and began to fly toward the sea at a trendous speed.
Sothing so vast flying past would logically have a significant impact on the areas it passed over, but the entire process went unnoticed by the citizens of Nim City, who at most only felt a slight breeze on their faces.
“It seems this whale is not only massive in size, huh.”
