667: 657 Chapter: Ancillary Buildings 667: 657 Chapter: Ancillary Buildings “Punishnt, execution… The nas are quite fitting.
I always felt that the Sanctuary was sowhat incomplete in functionality, but with these two doors, it seems much better,”
Then Wen Wen, stroking his chin, asked, “But why have I never heard of these two places before?”
Nivea said with a smile, “That’s because these two places have been open for less than a day.
They probably beca accessible after you captured that fugitive when your strength t the conditions to unlock this area.”
“Since they have just opened, these two subsidiary spaces are not yet ready for large-scale use.
However, if you want to te out punishnt or execute one or two monsters, that would be possible.
Keep in mind, though, that the Execution Room itself is very powerful, but the energy consumption for hosting an execution will be borne by you…”
Wen Wen nodded in satisfaction, “I will experint with it myself when the ti cos… But this room is so large, there must be more than just these two doors.” The room was spacious and, from the layout of the space, there should be more than just two doors.
Nivea nodded and responded, “You guessed right.
In the past, there were more than just two doors here, including ‘Warden’s Office,’ ‘Museum of Oddities,’ ‘Superpower Research Institute,’ and several other doors, each leading to an independent building-type Containnt Item.”
“However, those buildings detached themselves during the previous dormancy of the Sanctuary.
If you want to use the functions of those spaces, you’ll have to find them yourself.”
Wen Wen felt as if a load of tasks had suddenly piled onto his shoulders, so he asked Nivea, “Are there any consequences for the Sanctuary if those buildings aren’t recovered?”
“It depends on whether you need those spaces.
The main body of the Sanctuary consists only of five levels including Catastrophe, and what you control is the complete form of the Sanctuary.
All other buildings, including the Punishnt Facility and Execution Room, are rely subsidiary spaces.
Recovering them would be the icing on the cake, but it wouldn’t really matter if they remained lost.”
Regarding the supplentary spaces ntioned by Nivea, Wen Wen had so clues.
During his search for Wen Rui, he encountered a wondrous museum, which might just be one of the Sanctuary’s lost supplentary spaces.
If he had a chance, Wen Wen could try his luck at the museum again.
If it were indeed part of the Sanctuary, that would be a huge win—it was a Catastrophe Level building!
After learning enough, Wen Wen said farewell to Nivea and returned to the Disaster Area, standing in front of Dr.
Feng’s cell, he said:
“Among all the monsters I’ve captured, you are the one I hate the most.
Before I caught you, I was thinking about how to properly tornt you.
So, I have sothing new that I want to test out on you.”
Dr.
Feng, speculating based on his own mindset, asked, “Are you planning to conduct human experints on ?”
Wen Wen shook his head, “I’m not as perverted as you.
I’m just sending you to a place.
I’m not very clear on the conditions there, so I hope you can have a thorough chat with once you return.”
Having said that, Wen Wen waved his hand, and a red door appeared behind Dr.
Feng.
An invisible red hand erged from within the door and dragged Dr.
Feng into it.
After the door closed, it did not disappear but stood erect in the center of the cell, exuding an ineffable, eerie aura.
One could hear the sounds of despairing wails coming from inside the door if they concentrated on it, the kind of cries emitted by forr inmates—the mont attention was diverted, one could perceive nothing.
Wen Wen did not close the door, as he wanted the other monsters to know what Dr.
Feng was enduring; this way, they would be more obedient.
After Dr.
Feng vanished, Wen Wen turned to look at Ais Wakaz, who imdiately shuddered; he alone knew what Dr.
Feng was experiencing.
Wen Wen’s mouth curved into a smile, “You know where he went, don’t you?
If you don’t behave, I’ll send you in as well to refresh your mory.”
“I will definitely obey,” Ais pledged, patting his chest emphatically.
Afterward, Wen Wen struck the other monsters again before leaving contentedly to a training ground, where he resud his sword practice.
So far, the Mysterious Sword Technique only had two moves, which weren’t enough for Wen Wen to handle various situations, so he needed to develop new moves…
…
In a small city in the north, Heng An used a steel reinforcing bar to push open a worn wooden door, entering a courtyard sared with blood.
Ostensibly, it was a rural family fun spot, but in reality, it was a restaurant trading on wild animals as its drawing card.
Such a restaurant was, of course, illegal, but given the restaurant owner’s extensive connections, patrons that included high-ranking officials protected the business.
Even if there were reports against it, the owner could suppress them.
Hence, it had been in operation for seven or eight years, even flourishing more and more.
However, the days of prosperity for this small courtyard were over; all the guests were dismbered, with the owner’s entire family hung from the house beams, their expressions frozen in horror as if they had witnessed sothing grotesque.
In the center of the courtyard sat an enormous weasel as tall as a man, clearly responsible for the tragic scene.
Upon seeing Heng An, the weasel’s expression changed, but it quickly scoffed and said, “You’ve finally found .
What will you do now, kill ?”
Heng An poked at a corpse with the steel bar and asked, “Did you kill these people?”
The weasel, appearing deranged, exclaid, “Yes, I killed them, and I haven’t even had my fill of killing yet!”
“I’ve been protecting the villagers in the nearby countryside for decades, but these people took the chance while I was treating soone to abduct and serve my twenty-seven offspring on their dining table!”
“You humans would do anything for money, for the sake of your greedy desires.
One day, you will taste the bitter fruits of your actions.
I’ve said my piece; if you want to kill , go ahead.”
When Heng An entered, the weasel sensed that its strength was being suppressed, and the steel bar gave it an unpleasant feeling.
If a fight were to ensue, Heng An might instantly finish it.
But the weasel had completed its revenge, so death didn’t matter to it at this point.
Heng An, visibly frustrated, ruffled his hair and said, “You seem to have misunderstood sothing.
Your grudge has nothing to do with ; I’m not here to deal with you…
tell , have you seen a little girl about ten years old, with a ponytail and a bow on her hair?”
The weasel was taken aback and then said, “I think I’ve seen the girl.
I have no interest in killing human younglings; I tied her up in the kitchen…”
No sooner had it finished speaking than Heng An rushed towards the kitchen.
Soon after, there were sounds of a scuffle and a little girl’s screams of pain and pleas for rcy from the kitchen, as if Heng An was in there bullying the child.
When the noise subsided, the weasel saw Heng An erge from the kitchen, disheveled and leading a sullen little girl by a rope.
Notably, the girl was unhard, whereas Heng An’s face was scratched up.
After witnessing this scene, the weasel paused and then said, “You humans, for the sake of your greedy desires, even your own offspring are not spared?”
Heng An, exasperated, thought to himself that this animal must have misunderstood sothing…
