507: 505 507: 505 The night was still, and within a house lit by dim light, creator Guo Shengye was hard at work.

He was a mangaka, and also a doujinshi artist.

With the animated and cute girls in his drawings bringing an incredible sense of imrsion, his work beca quite well-known in the Sakura District, even though his skills were not considered top-tier.

However, in the Capital District, despite many having seen his comics, few paid attention to him as a person.

He drew and drew, then suddenly ripped the paper in front of him, roughly tousling his hair.

“What is this damned thing, completely devoid of life, not worthy to be my work!”

Guo Shengye was agitated at the table for a long ti before he walked over to a large mirror and silently regarded his reflection.

“I need inspiration, so let’s play.”

He put his hands behind his back, mimicking the movents of rock-paper-scissors, and suddenly showed “scissors” in front of the mirror.

But the Guo Shengye in the mirror had his hand open!

The movents of the two people, inside and outside the mirror, were inconsistent!

This eerie situation was all too familiar to Guo Shengye; he continued to play rock-paper-scissors with his reflection non-stop, going for more than a dozen rounds before stopping.

“This ti I won ten rounds first, what I want is still the sa, inspiration, I want inspiration!”

The mirrored Guo Shengye nodded, then the scene in the mirror began to change; the reflection pulled out a knife and stepped out of the house, walking into the night.

The scenes in the mirror were all too familiar to Guo Chengye, as they depicted the area around his ho.

It was not until the mirrored Guo Shengye arrived at the door of an apartnt and knocked that Guo Shengye understood; the person inside was a female art student from the class he was teaching.

The door quickly opened, and a pretty young girl appeared, looking surprised upon seeing Guo Shengye.

“Teacher Guo, what brings you here?

It’s already so late…”

Before the girl could finish speaking, the Guo Shengye in the mirror covered her mouth and pushed her inside the door.

Then from within the mirror ca the frantic calls for help and the sound of a knife stabbing into a body…

Observing this scene, the real Guo Shengye felt not a hint of fear.

After all, these events were only occurring inside the mirror and had nothing to do with the real world.

The mirrored Guo Shengye struggled to drag the lifeless body of the student, slowly returning to the side of the mirror, throwing the corpse onto the paper inside the mirror, and then the body vanished.

“The inspiration is ready for you, co and play again next ti.”

Having said that, the movents of the mirrored Guo Shengye gradually synchronized with the real Guo Shengye’s, no longer eerie.

But Guo Shengye did not care what his mirrored self was like.

He rushed to those papers, feverishly caressing them.

Suddenly, the silhouette of a girl materialized on the papers, and Guo Shengye had the power to change it into any form.

“That’s right, only paper with soul is worthy of , only that is the perfect work!”

Thus, Guo Shengye hovered over the paper, his paintbrush never pausing, until he had drawn several hundred pages of drafts before stopping.

He reveled in the seemingly soulful characters within the drawings, intoxicated by the inspiration provided by the mirror that allowed him to create so many outstanding works.

After a while, he used the copier in the room to make a copy of all the drafts and mailed them to his editor.

The original drafts were carefully bound by him, their imagery too vivid and even capable of moving within a small area, not to be seen by others.

Clutching his original painting manuscript, Guo Shengye returned to his study, where similar manuscript albums lay stacked.

He greedily caressed those drafts as if they were not cold sheets of paper but living beings.

“This is the thirty-second one.

One day, I’ll fill this bookshelf, and then I’ll be the best painter, right?”

“I told you to teleport randomly, and you really brought us here,” Wen Wen said as he flicked Three Cubs’ noggin.

Before Wen Wen was Furong River City, the place where he had completely tad the Three Cubs.

Could it be that the creature was reminiscing about the tis it used to nibble on feet?

Regardless, Wen Wen had planned to rest in Furong River City for a while, so he let Three Cubs drive the car into the city.

On the way, Wen Wen called Lin Zheyuan, who told him that the house Wen Wen used to live in was still available.

He could go straight back there to stay as they were too busy to entertain Wen Wen right now.

Lin Zheyuan’s busyness was expected by Wen Wen.

Although the crisis in the Qi Ling Mountain Range had ultimately been controlled, before the Association arrived, a large number of monsters had escaped from the mountains, and now the cities surrounding Qi Ling Mountain were in utter chaos.

However, Wen Wen had no intention of helping them out; the weak monsters didn’t require his intervention.

Besides, he was in Furong River City to take a vacation, not to work.

Returning to the familiar house, Wen Wen flopped onto the bed in relaxation while Three Cubs took its usual place in a glass fish tank with practiced ease.

After lying down for a while, Wen Wen took out the Battle-axe Steak containnt item, peeled off the plastic wrap, sliced the at, and stowed the bone aside.

The sa ti tomorrow, this sleek bone would sprout a new steak, covered in plastic wrap—very convenient.

He cooked the enormous chunk of beef in butter, seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper, resulting in a delicious al.

After the al, Wen Wen wiped his mouth and pulled a vibrant green snake from the Sanctuary and tossed it beside Three Cubs.

“This is the wife I’ve gotten for you; see if you like her.”

The green snake was pretty but otherwise useless, so Wen Wen couldn’t be bothered keeping it in the Sanctuary taking up space.

If Three Cubs didn’t like it, Wen Wen would consider having snake soup.

At the sight of the green snake, Three Cubs’ three eyes montarily glead as it slithered over and entwined with the snake.

“Seems like you get along, so you go play with your new friend,” Wen Wen said.

Wen Wen then entered the Sanctuary to sort through his gains.

First were the monster materials.

The most substantial common materials had already been sold to the Association back in Demon Spirit Village.

The remaining batch of relatively rare materials was all thrown into the containnt shop.

If the old Wen Wen had seen these materials, he would have been overjoyed, thinking of ways to craft various weapons.

But now, he couldn’t be bothered to do so.

After all, from head to toe, Wen Wen was decked out in supernatural equipnt, except for his underwear, leaving no need to make new gear.

“Co to think of it, I might consider making a pair of extraordinary underwear…”

After checking the materials, Wen Wen then turned to deal with the captured monsters.

Apart from the green snake he gave to Three Cubs, he was left with the Round-Face Battle Chicken and Da Shanren, as well as the Disaster Level strength Golden Yingying Monster.

Both creatures possessed Disaster Level strength, the Round-Face Battle Chicken being surprisingly skilled in combat, and Da Shanren capable of disguising as a human, adept at escape and stealth.

They could be useful in specific situations.

The Golden Yingying Monster could beco an excellent flying mount once tad.

As he pondered the monsters, Wen Wen suddenly slapped his forehead with a strange look on his face.

He suddenly rembered Cangyan that he had thrown into Hu Youling’s cell…

“With so much ti passed, it better not have died in there, especially since it’s a Disaster Interdiate Sequence creature.”
