288: Chapter 286: Virtual Space 288: Chapter 286: Virtual Space Following the staff’s arrangents, Wen Wen entered the examination room, which was divided into small booths, each seemingly enveloped by a special force that prevented superpower users from seeing each other’s papers.

However, such arrangents alone were not enough to deter Demon Hunters, so there were additional asures in every booth.

Wen Wen sighed as he looked at a lively eyeball in front of his eyes.

“Could you stay a bit further away from ?

Being this close makes nervous…” The eyeball wobbled twice, indicating that it was not possible.

Hmm… The eyeball was only forty centiters away from Wen Wen, making it the strictest invigilation he had ever encountered.

But Wen Wen hadn’t planned on cheating anyway, since he had already reviewed everything beforehand.

The exam paper in front of Wen Wen consisted of two sets.

One was the Demon Hunter’s code, which Wen Wen had already reviewed, so he easily answered everything.

The other set was situational questions, where all the problems were about designing a scenario and then having the Demon Hunter answer how to handle it.

“There should be no standard answers to these questions, so I’ll just go with my own preferences.”

The first question was about how to react when an ordinary person, deceived by others, obstructs your task.

Wen Wen’s answer was: ‘Beat the crap out of him, then beat him with his own crap, and finally, beat him into his pile of crap…’

That was just his personal style…

Wen Wen, feeling completely refreshed, handed in his paper after only an hour and a half.

After leaving, a supporter approached Wen Wen, “Sir, please follow to participate in the second assessnt.”

Following the supporter, Wen Wen arrived at a separate building; its doors neatly arranged, making each room in the building appear sowhat small.

Wen Wen was taken to a room that had a machine about the size of a coffin, and the two sides of the room were all glass.

Across the machine, a man and a woman were seated, each with a screen in front of them.

Upon entering the room, Wen Wen glanced at the size of the room, then walked to the glass and pressed his finger against it, laughing as he said,

“Indeed, I was wondering why the width of this room seed off.

This is one-way glass, isn’t it?

There are probably people watching from those small observation rooms on both sides right now.”

“You are not solving a case, you are under assessnt, please return to your seat,” the woman tapped the table, slightly exasperated.

Wen Wen obediently sat down, then reached out to touch the machine behind him, which he was most curious about.

The man tapped the table again, “Mr.

Wen, this is the venue for the second round of assessnts; in a mont, you need to enter that machine behind you.

There, through sleep, you will enter a virtual space and complete tasks based on the space’s instructions as content for the second assessnt.”

“Is it the ability of Containnt Items or high-tech products?” Wen Wen looked at him with curious baby eyes.

The woman gave a wry smile, “That’s classified, we cannot answer.

Please, go inside now.”

Superpower users at the Assimilation Realm are rarely obedient; every year, they encounter all kinds of strange issues during assessnts.

“Oh…”

Wen Wen agreed, and the machine behind him automatically opened.

As he lay down, the machine’s lid closed automatically, making Wen Wen feel even more like it was a coffin.

The inside of the coffin was very bright, with a cara positioned right in front of Wen Wen’s face.

“It seems they still want to observe my expressions…

Perhaps this assessnt isn’t just about completing tasks in that virtual space.”

A white gas appeared inside the coffin, and after Wen Wen inhaled it, he felt sowhat groggy, but he did not resist because the assessnt required entering a sleep state to begin.

In his haze, Wen Wen heard the female evaluator’s voice, “You may encounter so distressing scenes during the assessnt, please forgive us.

Everything is done to select the most suitable Ranger.”

Then Wen Wen fell into a deep sleep…

Upon opening his eyes, Wen Wen found himself sitting on a chair with a table in front of him, on which there was a handgun and a sign.

The sign laid out the mission requirents: “Identify the anomaly in front of you and deal with it.”

Then, two n who looked exactly alike entered the room at the sa ti, one dressed in red and the other in blue.

The red-dressed man ca in, sat on the floor, bit his finger, and started drawing circles on the ground, while the blue-dressed man walked in, smiled at Wen Wen, but the subtle tremor in his body showed he was very nervous.

“To identify a misfit among these two n…

this assessnt seems far too simple.”

Wen Wen scoffed lightly and did not rush to identify his target but started observing the virtual space around him.

Everything here was very similar to reality, resembling the Illusionary Realm sowhat, but many traces of human design could be seen.

Wen Wen’s strength seed restricted here; he possessed only Exploration Realm strength, and his abilities were just having a stronger body than an ordinary person.

“It seems the purpose of this assessnt is rely to evaluate my judgnt and analytical skills in dealing with supernatural events, not my strength, so the strength of the Exploration Realm is sufficient.”

After figuring all this out, so ti had passed, and the two n’s actions had escalated.

The red-dressed man was no longer satisfied with drawing circles on the ground but stood up and started writing so unintelligible symbols on the wall with blood—Wen Wen recognized those symbols as belonging to the texts of the Inner World.

In the official docunts of the Hunters Association, these texts are referred to as ‘Exotic Texts,’ while in the mouths of monsters of the Inner World, they are called ‘Words of Truth.’

As more of these texts were written, the room beca stranger, the re act of writing them producing so anomalies.

The blue-dressed man, frightened, watched the red-dressed man while preparing a hot coffee for Wen Wen.

After accepting the coffee, Wen Wen felt the temperature on top, then smiled kindly at the blue-dressed man and then abruptly stamped on the man’s toes.

The blue-dressed man froze for a mont before sitting on the ground clutching his foot and wailing in pain.

Wen Wen stroked his chin and said, “Hmm… not pitiful enough.”

So he poured the cup of hot coffee over the blue-dressed man’s face, the high temperature distorting his features and beginning to change color.

The man emitted a terrible shriek, his mouth split into four parts, and his entire head transford into a monstrous form, then ferociously lunged at Wen Wen.

But Wen Wen, prepared, shot the man in the knee, causing him to kneel on the ground, unable to stand.

“Why when his issues are far more serious!”

The man howled resentfully at Wen Wen.

He had perford flawlessly, giving away no flaws, so why did this person still target only him?

Wen Wen leisurely aid the gun at his forehead and said, “Normally, with my personality, I wouldn’t explain to you, but since your question might also be the evaluators’ inquiry, I might as well let you die understanding.”
