Chapter 2062: Chapter 620: Tower of Divine Ascension

Early the next morning, the Dawn Group packed up their equipnt and continued to explore the Black Stone Forest Farm.

Leonard Churchill was still imrsed in the magical state of realization from the night before.

Although he hadn’t slept all night, he felt great at that mont.

The entire “world” appeared brand new in his eyes.

He clearly still saw a dense forest, but it was completely different now.

Leonard felt as if he could clearly understand the workings of the elents and everything around him.

He knew that this change was related to the secret skill “I Am the World.”

The team mbers also noticed Leonard’s unusual silence and contemplation along the way.

The magician, Gweneth, with the keenest perception, finally couldn’t resist her curiosity and said, “Captain, why do I feel you’re different sohow…”

As soon as she said this, Leonard was slightly taken aback: “Different in what way???”

In that mont, his thoughts returned, and the dreamy sensation vanished instantly.

Gweneth pondered for a mont and said: “I can’t explain it. It’s just… it’s just that you seem to suddenly beco very mysterious. Uh… a bit like the feeling of my teacher’s teacher before, the Great Mage Moksa. The stability and mystery brought by imnse power… yet not entirely the sa.”

Upon hearing this, the archer Siwal curiously asked: “Captain, did you level up to the Legendary Realm?”

Leonard laughed self-deprecatingly: “I wish.”

Everyone also felt that it wasn’t easy to break through and laughed, jesting.

Just then, the Hunter Catcher Ipa, who was scouting ahead, noticed sothing and suddenly shouted: “Captain, we might have reached the place where the ‘Fierce Tiger rcenary Corps’ discovered the relic!”

Previously, those few slabs were brought back by their counterparts, a thirty-plus-mber A-rank rcenary Corps, only one severely injured guy survived and escaped, now still unconscious at the monastery in Black Stone City.

Upon hearing this, everyone beca imdiately alert.

Walking over to take a look, they saw many cracks in the big mountain; the soil looked fresh, as if split by a recent earthquake.

And amidst the washed-down soil, they could see nurous debris that matched the slabs, clearly bearing signs of human crafting.

Leonard knew they were getting close and instructed, “Everyone, follow the plan. The Great Dragon’s sense of sll is very sharp, we need to lure that big guy out. Rahn and Lolota, you two are responsible for finding the Great Dragon’s lair and determining Princess Sofia’s location.”

Everyone agreed in unison: “Got it!”

They were a very coordinated team, needing no more arrangents.

According to intelligence, the fiercest demon beasts in this forest were originally the pack of Gale Demon Wolves.

This posed little threat to the Dawn Group.

Rahn and Lolota disappeared into the dense forest, while Leonard and the others deliberately took out so bloodbait to attract demon beasts and began exploring everywhere.

This was a very sophisticated wild hunting tactic.

….

The Dawn Group delved into the big mountain through the cracks, and it looked like the ancient relic was likely hidden sowhere in the belly of the mountain.

After searching for several hours, the eight of them found the place where the Fierce Tiger rcenary Corps was previously attacked.

The account of the sole survivor, before falling into a coma, only ntioned their quest to find the princess in the forest when, out of nowhere, they were attacked by the Evil Dragon.

They had no ability to resist, and the team was scattered in an instant.

Only he, a fast-running assassin, managed to jump into a river and narrowly escape.

In the Dense Forest, Leonard and his companions looked grimly at the ravaged camp, their expressions solemn.

The Great Dragon had rampaged through, and trees large enough for several people to embrace were toppled haphazardly, while large swaths of charred stumps were left around the camp.

Robert, holding a piece of lted iron he had just found on the scorched ground, said with a serious expression, “Being able to lt iron boots into molten iron, the fire temperature of the dragon’s breath is the highest I’ve ever seen…”

As a Heavy knight, he knew the material of heavy shields better than anyone.

If the dragon’s breath could lt such iron boots into iron water, the intensity could be deduced.

Hunter Ipa also said: “The aura left by the Great Dragon is too terrifying, all the wild animals in the vicinity have been scared away. It’s hard to pinpoint a direction.”

His trained treasure-seeking mink, usually sensitive in sll, was the best ans for tracking. But now the little guy was so terrified by the Great Dragon’s aura that it shivered, hiding in the animal pouch and refusing to co out.

However, none of the mbers of the Dawn Group shrank back; what an A-rank rcenary Corps couldn’t accomplish didn’t an they couldn’t.

Everyone looked to Leonard, asking: “Captain, which way do we go now?”

If it were an ordinary hunt for demon beasts, they wouldn’t be in a rush, slowly tracking according to clues, they’d eventually find it.

But the forest was too vast, and finding it this way could take months.

Their mission this ti was to find Princess Sofia; the longer the delay, the smaller the chances of the Princess being alive.

They tried every thod, yet still found it difficult to pinpoint the location of the Great Dragon’s lair.

Dragons are flying demon beasts, leaving mixed traces everywhere.

Looking at the expectant gazes from everyone, under normal circumstances Leonard wouldn’t have any better suggestions either.

But at that mont, for so unknown reason, the complex thoughts in his mind began to automatically deduce.

Branch creases, the scorched camp, marks on the soil… the humming of bees, birds startled into flight, distant beast roars…

It was as if no single thing in the world before him existed in isolation, tied together by lines of cause and effect, forming a vibrant and complete world.

The perceptions brought by his five senses automatically ford lines of cause and effect in Leonard’s mind, as if the forest presented itself in another high-dinsional form in his brain.
