Chapter 2008: Chapter 605 Once Again a Wager in Flood Gang?
“Weren’t you not interested in becoming an emperor before? Why the sudden change of mind?”
Catherine Carter teasingly asked with curiosity.
Leonard Churchill fastened the clasp of the necklace from behind her and said, “I figured out what my promotion ceremony is.”
Upon hearing this, Catherine suddenly realized sothing, and a peculiar look flashed in her beautiful eyes. She glanced sideways at Leonard and said in surprise, “You… you’ve reached that bottleneck?”
Of course, it was the bottleneck of condensing Godhood.
As a Chosen One of the Moon God, she was more aware than anyone of the difficulty of that threshold.
The Ninth Tier is the pinnacle of transcendence, but card masters who can truly touch that bottleneck are a different story.
If it were soone else, Catherine would absolutely not believe it, but when it cos to this guy…
She saw the calm smile on Leonard’s face, and without waiting for an answer, she already knew, feeling both delighted and emotional, “I was wondering… Miss Johnson said you were in seclusion for rigorous training, and it turns out you really broke through. So, have you now stabilized your ‘Divine’s Rules’?”
There was nothing that couldn’t be shared with this Lionheart lady, so Leonard truthfully said, “I did gain so new insight into the Rule Power. But more importantly, there was a breakthrough on a soul level.”
Catherine was slightly taken aback, seemingly pondering the aning of these words.
After a mont of contemplation, she suddenly seed to realize sothing and asked in astonishnt, “Oh… have you… ignited the Divine Fire?”
“Mm.”
Leonard nodded, “I’ve touched that realm, but saying it’s ignited is still early.”
“Ah, really?”
Upon hearing this, Catherine’s charming face betrayed undeniable surprise.
Others might not understand the significance of igniting Divine Fire, but as a Moon God, she certainly did!
With the power of faith from billions of followers in the East Wilderness and the guidance of the Moon God’s Will, she barely managed to touch that Mysterious Domain.
How did this guy, after just over a year of absence, manage to ignite the Divine Fire directly?
The White Jade Lioness of the Supre Commander of the Allied Forces affectionately hugged Leonard’s arm and examined him closely without any reservations, blinking and saying, “What exactly happened?”
It’s hard to explain in a few words, so Leonard simply said, “It’s a long story… let’s just say it involved receiving so gifts from Emperor Lanlingster, and by chance, touching that threshold.”
“Oh.”
Catherine didn’t press further, as they had all the ti in the world to talk later.
Only then did she understand why Leonard had inford her earlier about becoming an emperor.
She asked again, “So, are you planning to take the Kingship Path to condense your Godhood?”
Even though it might not be entirely fitting, achieving a promotion was already an incredible accomplishnt.
The God Tier… it was a realm unfathomable for humanity.
Unexpectedly, Leonard shook his head, “No. I do not intend to take the Kingship Path.”
If he chose the Kingship Path, he believed his chance of condensing Godhood wouldn’t be small.
But the compatibility wasn’t high, and it would likely stop there.
He aid to walk a different path.
A promotion path unique to the JOKER.
Catherine listened and was puzzled, “Ah? Then you are…?”
Leonard said, “My promotion ceremony is… Joker’s Amusent Park.”
“???”
Hearing the na of this ceremony, Catherine blinked her eyelashes, montarily unable to discern which Godhood Laws it pointed to.
At least among the Fifty-two Demon Gods Sequence, there wasn’t one like this.
Although Leonard’s expression was sowhat ambiguous, Catherine could see that he was serious.
It’s known that a card master’s ascension to the God Tier promotion ceremony is a significant civilization trend.
Understanding it literally implies that this guy intends to turn the Plane into… an amusent park?
Only then did she realize that becoming an emperor wasn’t the goal; this guy was preparing for a grander sche.
Catherine wisely didn’t ask further questions, smiling sweetly, “You’re still the sa as always…”
….
Leonard accompanied Catherine to a jewelry store to buy so pieces of jewelry, so for herself and so as gifts for others.
As the Supre Commander of the Allied Forces, it’s rare to have such leisure, so the two of them wandered around the bustling Tunis City.
“I figured you might be planning a big move, so I brought sixteen Titan Battle Armors over, along with a thousand God Hunter Legion mbers and several Destructive God Cannons… As long as the Dragon God doesn’t personally show up, this should suffice.”
“Oh? Is the production capacity of the East Wilderness so impressive now?”
“Yes. Previously, the Orlan Royal Court had already set up two production lines for Titan Battle Armor, but they lacked materials. The New World also has mature chanics and equipnt… Thanks to your previous plan, all the lords in the Old Continent are now providing us with advanced materials, allowing the New World to produce so much top-level battle armor… Oh, and Rita is also here.”
“Oh?”
“…”
As they walked and talked, they arrived in front of a classical building made of massive white stone pillars, which was Tunis City’s city hall.
The Rebellion Army controlled this city, and Sophia Jones, as the leader, spent most of her ti here.
The guarding soldiers all recognized Leonard and Catherine, and they entered without bothering anyone else.
The city hall was bustling with busy officials everywhere.
After all, there were tens of thousands of war refugees to be resettled every day, so there was a lot of work to be done.
The two of them went up to the third floor, where Sophia Jones’ office was located.
The third floor was very quiet, almost empty. The hallway had a great view, and through the windows, one could see the bustling street view of Tunis City.
With Leonard’s perception now extrely keen, he soon heard familiar voices of dialogue coming from a room at the end of the hall with its door open.
