Chapter 1895: Chapter 573: The Secret of the Origin of the Card Master Civilization

In the canyon, a special area was cleared to isolate those afflicted with the plague, and the treatnt work proceeded smoothly.

The originally unsolvable poisonous sche of the Orlan Royal Court was ingeniously cracked by the legacy left by the Taren Empire three millennia ago.

As long as the plague doesn’t spread, there will not be a major issue.

Everyone at the Jilan Defense Line remained at their posts, largely unaffected.

After this minor mishap, the war’s rhythm quickly resud.

In response to the previous poisonous sche of the Orlan Royal Family, the alliance’s artillery strikes beca more intense.

So giant cannons with ultra-long range were also brought out, with cannonballs of several tons loaded into the barrels… then, fla tongues spewed forth, accompanied by thunderous roars, bright explosions erupted all over the enemy defense line in the extre sight distance.

….

Master rlin was going to study live samples of the Black Death and had no interest in chatting with Leonard Churchill.

Leonard just leapt onto the rock wall, sitting beside the Mushroomhead.

Upon his arrival, he realized the spot Mushroomhead had chosen provided an excellent field of view.

When he looked up, he could see the lights of Rig City from afar, hundreds of miles away.

Leonard asked, “When did you arrive?”

“Just got here.”

Noah Wright responded casually, “Handled a few things on the way. Glad I wasn’t too late.”

He didn’t remove his cloak, enveloping himself entirely in a void of darkness.

Even with the moonlight shining brightly in the sky, his face, seemingly hiding countless secrets of the Pursuer of Light, remained hidden.

“Did you co because of the Black Death?”

Leonard asked casually.

But he actually knew for certain it wasn’t the reason.

Their conversation seed like casual chatter, Noah Wright’s tone equally calm, “Of course not. The ‘Black Death’ is an open card on the table; the Orlan Royal Family playing it wasn’t strange. Though it ca a bit earlier than expected.”

“Oh, indeed.”

Leonard listened, raising his eyebrows slightly.

He too had cultivated the Demon God Secret Skill “I Am the World,” allowing him to follow this guy’s thinking patterns.

The events felt like a card ga; for ordinary people, it’s hard to guess the opponent’s cards.

But for card masters who have cultivated this Demon God Secret Skill, it’s almost like playing with open cards. The only variable is the order of the cards played.

Leonard paused, casually suggesting, “Could you be planning to assassinate King Arthur on the other side?”

Two hundred years ago, the old Taren Dynasty fell, and thirteen mbers of the Illumination Secret Society directly participated in the Blood Mist Coup.

Now, Camilla, this Augustus King, is a mber of the Illumination Society, so the entire organization is certainly involved.

Noah Wright didn’t bother hiding anything, and self-deprecatingly said, “I have the thought. But given the current circumstances, I’m not confident.”

“Haha.”

Leonard chuckled.

If possible, killing the already tainted King Arthur would be the best way to end the East Wilderness turmoil.

Yet, no matter how he simulated scenarios, there was no possibility of a successful assassination.

Currently, King Arthur is protected by multiple Outer Gods, making him hard to kill.

Noah Wright glanced toward the distant line of sight where the Orlan forces were still recklessly charging with cannon fodder, adding, “That Arthur is about to reach the Ninth Tier. Even excluding several Outer Gods, he is very difficult to assassinate.”

“Oh… so soon?”

Leonard found himself surprised.

He himself was an Eighth Order Card Master, more inford than anyone about how unrealistically high the Ninth Tier was.

It’s a height that one can’t hope to touch without incredible fortune.

Moreover, this is the elentally barren East Wilderness.

Even with the favor of Royal Fortune, the advancent shouldn’t be this rapid.

Noah Wright apparently knew why and said, “You should have noticed they are using commoners for sacrificial rituals. But it’s not just for accumulating spirit diums for several Outer Gods. Also, the Ninth Tier professional card of the [Spade K-Tyrant] sequence is called [Dictator], a profession that inherently requires sacrificing a large number of living creatures. That Arthur plans to sacrifice one million commoners, using that Black Coffin, to forcibly advance to the Ninth Tier.”

“… ”

Leonard heard this, furrowing his brows, pondering montarily, then asked, “Does the [Dictator] sequence have any unique abilities?”

He had heard about this exclusive profession of the Augustus Royal Family, but wasn’t very familiar with it.

He also guessed that Mushroomhead was specifically explaining more to him, suggesting there was a deeper aning.

Noah Wright replied, “[Dictator] is the final career transition of the Tyrant sequence, capable of touching the ‘Rule Power’ of Universe Rules that other professional sequences cannot. This is a slight advantage high-level sequences have at the summit compared to others, with a higher upper limit. And as the na ‘Dictator’ suggests, it denotes absolute control and rule-making. As far as I know, it’s a profession capable of forcibly changing rules… this is a power greatly aligned with kingship, and once the promotion succeeds, it will be significantly stronger than those of the sa tier.”

“Forcibly changing the rules?”

Leonard listened, his expression growing slightly strange.

Isn’t this similar to the abilities of that [Colorful JOKER] Curse God Card?

In his mind, it seed certain clues were connecting.

But even if he advances to the Ninth Tier, what’s the use?

The current East Wilderness Great Battle cannot be broken by a single Ninth Tier.

Leonard pondered for a mont, then said, “But strong as it may be, the backlash from high-level sequences’ Demonic Power is equally strong. Forcefully advancing, the odds of that guy completely mutating are very high.”

Noah Wright naturally understood this, “Indeed.”

Leonard’s eyes flashed, seeming to lack so cause and effect, unable to figure out so key points anyway.

He asked again, “So, what exactly is that Arthur planning to do?”

This Mushroomhead shared so much information, probably knowing sothing, and there were likely things he wasn’t able to openly discuss.

….

“Well… ”

Noah Wright’s tone suddenly grew profound; after pondering for a mont, he said, “I wasn’t sure before. But… recently I have decoded so hidden content from the [Forbidden Ruins Stele] left in the Upper State Prison in Sinless City. I’ve seen so ‘truths’ concealed in history by the collaboration between Lord Garcia and that generation of Pursuers of Light… “
