Chapter 1277: Chapter 393: Forcibly Seizing the Boat Chapter 1277: Chapter 393: Forcibly Seizing the Boat Several days later, Sinless City.
The war in the East Wilderness had intensified, and Sinless City had already accumulated a large number of Southern Continent soldiers and rcenaries.
The city was bustling and lively.
Groups of soldiers were visible everywhere on the streets, and the bulletin boards of various taverns were plastered with arrest warrants.
Aragon and other cadres of the Rebel Dragon Army were already regulars on the arrest warrant list, to which the rcenaries had grown accustod.
But, seeing the last two new faces on the S-level Bounty Orders, passersby occasionally pointed and whispered in curiosity.
“Wow, the Rebel Dragon Army has co to the East Wilderness, what are they planning?”
“Who knows? They caused a stir at the docks just recently, and bodies are still hanging on the gallows over there…”
“What’s the deal with these two newcors? How did they qualify to be listed alongside the Rebel Dragon Army’s cadres?”
“Hiss… Such a high bounty, and the Bounty Orders were personally issued by the Pope of the Holy Church. If soone actually catches them, they’d make a fortune…”
“…”
Downing Street was still brightly lit and crowded with people, exceptionally lively.
On the street, a group of injured slaves dragged themselves along listlessly.
They wore slave collars around their necks and their feet were shackled together with chains, clinking with every step they took.
Nobody noticed that among these war slaves, a bearded burly man with a bare chest glanced briefly at the Bounty Orders posted all around the street, a slight, hardly noticeable smirk on his face.
This was none other than Leonard Churchill in disguise.
No one would have thought that this S-level fugitive, wanted by the Holy Church, would dare to hide so boldly under the Iris Legion’s watch.
…
Previously, Leonard Churchill and mbers of the Revolutionary Army had infiltrated the East Wilderness under the guise of rcenaries or soldiers from the three great Kingdoms.
But having used this tactic nurous tis, the people of the Southern Continent were already wary.
Not only had the identity verification process for boarding beco more complicated, but soldiers also added so secret phrases to prevent impostors.
After returning to Sinless City, Leonard found the original plan too risky, so he abandoned the idea.
He was more familiar with Sinless City than the Rebel Dragon Army mbers, and after briefly gathering so intelligence, he ca up with a second plan.
That was to blend in with the war slaves.
Now, advanced card masters captured in the East Wilderness were almost never executed. The developnt of the Old Continent Ruins now required a large amount of cannon fodder, so nearly every day slaves were sent to the Old Continent.
Fortunately, among the slaves detained in the city, there were several Sixth Tier card masters.
Leonard had replaced one of the slaves and successfully infiltrated the group.
Near a Void Rift on Downing Street, a huge black-sailed ship was currently docked at the edge of a cliff.
Leonard followed the crowd and slowly made his way over.
When passing through the checkpoint, a group of soldiers was ticulously inspecting each person boarding the ship.
The slaves had been stripped down to their underwear and had little on them to search. However, the accompanying soldiers inspected very thoroughly.
Leonard did not exhibit any anomalies during the entire process.
Disguising himself as a slave carried much less risk than posing as a soldier from the Southern Continent.
Aragon had said that their previous exposure was most likely due to the enemy having so ans to determine their tier or sothing inconsistent with their disguised identities.
Yet now, Leonard had no such concerns.
His disguise relied on the “Clown mask,” leaving no flaws in his appearance, and his own performance was at a professional level.
Being defeated and tight-lipped was normal, and even soone who knew him wouldn’t notice anything amiss.
Thus, Leonard smoothly passed the security check.
In fact, he also knew that the Southern Continent’s people were cautious of Aragon and other Seventh Rank and higher experts.
After all, only experts of such high ranks could pose a substantial threat to a Void Battleship.
…
Once on board, Leonard and a host of other slaves were pushed into the bottom of the ship’s hold.
After waiting nearly two hours, nearly twenty thousand slaves and seized war supplies were fully loaded onto the ship.
As the ship plunged into the vast rift with its gravity inverted, the massive black-sailed vessel sailed into the chasm.
Leonard, now highly attuned to Space Law, was even in the pitch-black hold, calculating the distance of the ship from the docks precisely.
In a flash, they had already traveled more than ten kiloters from the dock.
A Void Dragon Ship typically had a Seventh Rank Safety Officer onboard, along with over a thousand well-trained soldiers.
The ship itself was also equipped with nurous defensive restrictions.
Normally, forcibly seizing such a battleship was practically impossible.
Apart from sheer force, the most important reason was that there was no need.
It was like ordinary pirates trying to rob an aircraft carrier; not to ntion whether they could seize it, but even if they did, what could they potentially do with it?
Too big a target, nowhere to hide, and constantly being hunted, it was an unwinnable situation.
However, with the discovery of the Lost Imperial City Behemoth, a ship capable of crossing rifts beca extrely necessary.
In the pitch-dark bottom of the ship, only heavy breathing could be heard.
The slave collars of the Sixth Tier card masters also had a “Forbidden Magic” effect, aning in normal circumstances, the war slaves could do nothing.
Leonard sat calmly in a corner of the hold, his wise eyes observing every face under the sea of heads.
Feeling that the timing was almost right, he muttered under his breath, “Ivan?”
Just then, a space rift quietly appeared in the void, revealing an excited face.
It was indeed Ivan.
This plan’s success was directly linked to Ivan.
Besides the mask and attached gloves, Leonard had nothing on him and thus needed soone to bring equipnt on board.
