34: Chapter 34: Catching Thieves_1 34: Chapter 34: Catching Thieves_1 Yan Fei circled in the sky and then carefully landed in a secluded area.
He hurriedly put on so clothes and headed towards the spot where he had seen the cattle thieves.
Even though he was sure that they were cattle thieves, Yan Fei felt he needed to confirm this.
What if the cow had needed urgent dical attention and they had co into town for help?
From a distance, seeing two people et up with a man standing next to a three-wheeler, Yan Fei finally felt relieved.
This ti there would be no mistake.
Stealthily, he approached the three n, with the castle wall providing ample cover.
He could hear their conversation.
The man beside the three-wheeler was grumbling, “Why is it taking so long tonight?”
“Quit your nagging, just get the cow onto the vehicle.
It’s getting harder to steal cows these days!
We need to get to the city before daybreak,” responded the man with empty hands.
“Alright, Second Brother, I’ll make sure the vehicle’s tank is always full,” the man near the three-wheeler chuckled.
“Who’s there?”
“Be careful…”
The two n leading the cow suddenly growled in unison.
“Phew… bam…”
Accompanied by their alarm, a shadow seed to spring from the back of the three-wheeler, brandishing a stick.
With considerable force, it struck the back of the man who was about to drag a plank from the cart.
The man let out a muffled grunt as he fell limply to the ground, giving no sign of resistance.
That was no ordinary stick; it was more akin to a log.
Before the other two n could react, the shadow was already on its way to them.
Impressively, the man walking in front managed to block the incoming stick with an empty hand.
“Crack” “Ah….”
With a sound of breaking bone from his arm, the man let out a terrible cry.
But that wasn’t all.
The stick, after breaking his arm, continued its trajectory towards him.
The thief, in spite of a severely deford arm and an unstable stance, pulled out a knife with his right hand, intending to fight Yan Fei.
However, Yan Fei had already swiftly avoided any counter-attack.
He swung the stick for the second ti, targeting the thief’s lower body.
The thief could barely retreat in ti.
It was too late.
With a heavy thud, the stick hit his thigh.
The man scread as he was nearly blown sideways by the blow.
He landed on the ground with a bang.
Before he could recover, Yan Fei spun around, the stick swirling in the air and striking down upon his legs.
“Crack,” the man dropped his dagger, rolling around and screaming in pain.
After a few strides, Yan Fei aid the stick at the man who was leading the cow, dumbstruck.
He suddenly bowed down in prayer.
Yan Fei’s intended blow missed.
“rcy… rcy… Please have rcy on …”
Although the man escaped the stick, he couldn’t dodge the brutal kick that followed.
Yan Fei’s rciless kick landed on the man’s chest, knocking him backwards.
Totally cowed, the man lay on the ground clutching his chest, pleading for rcy.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye.
Three n were now half-lying on the ground.
If it had been daylight, Yan Fei wouldn’t have been able to act so decisively.
But it was night, and he had a stick as a weapon.
Given these advantages, he was successful in his ambush.
Seeing no one around, Yan Fei looked at Second Brother who was still whimpering in pain from his broken arm and leg.
He was unable to decide his next move.
Thankfully, he rembered to tie up the cow first to prevent it from running away again.
While preparing to tether the cow to the tricycle, he noticed a rope in the cart.
Yan Fei’s eyes lit up imdiately.
He took out the rope, tied up one thief who had passed out at the start and another with a broken arm and leg.
He then shouted at the small thief who had just been knocked over and then knelt down, “You, co here!
Help lift them onto the cart!”
The young thief stood up, “Sir, it’s really my first ti stealing.
Could you please spare ?”
Yan Fei had no sympathy, “Co on, hurry up.
If you behave, I won’t hit you.”
Even though he looked young, the man was so frightened that he didn’t even bother to gauge him.
He had no idea that the guy who had just acted was a young lad.
Even if he had bothered to look, it wouldn’t have made a difference.
Experienced thieves fear reckless youths, as they are unpredictable and their blow might be fatal.
As this man helped to lift the thieves while pleading, “Please let go, if my family finds out, I’m done for.
If you release , I’ll serve as your ox or horse…”
Before Yan Fei could say anything, the one with the broken arm and leg, having gone numb from the pain, had now co around, “Monkey, if you dare ask for rcy again, damned if I won’t kill you, I was blind to have brought along an idiot like you!”
After scolding his accomplice, he turned to threaten Yan Fei, “Bro, what goes around cos around.
When you give favors, they co back to you.
You let us off today, and when we et again, we can speak amicably.”
Yan Fei chuckled and started kicking wildly.
This wasn’t a school fight, beating a cow thief carried no guilt.
After kicking him, he chuckled again, “You, strike a pose so I can tie you up.
Better behave and wait for the police station!
Improve yourself, when you get out, rember to co work for as an ox or horse…”
Desperate, the man knelt on the ground and let Yan Fei tie him up.
anwhile, the beaten thief continued to curse, “Kid, leave a line for yourself.
You should always have a fallback plan.
I won’t get much ti for stealing a cow.
Aren’t you afraid I’ll co to your house when I get out?
Let us go now, you can take the cow.
Let’s pretend this never happened…”
Yan Fei had just finished tying up the last one, then chuckled again, “You’re pretty heroic.
Are you planning to avenge after you’re executed and eighteen years have passed?”
While speaking, he looked around the ground, picked up the discarded wooden stick, stood by the tricycle, then started hitting fiercely.
That’s human savagery for you.
In the face of a helpless opponent, Yan Fei grew more and more vigorous.
The man started with curses, and ended up groaning weakly.
“Sir, don’t hit him anymore!
If you kill him now, you’ll still break the law, you know!” The man kneeling on the ground turned out to be law-abiding, and his voice started to tremble at the sight of Yan Fei beating his man so ruthlessly.
Yan Fei casually threw the stick away, “Didn’t he say he’ll be out in a few days to co after ?
I’ll just kill him here and save him the trouble of looking for .”
“Sir, in his current state…”
“Second Brother, what’s happening…
oh my, it hurts…” The law-abiding man was interrupted by the one who had been knocked out from the start and was just waking up.
No wonder he was waking up now, as Yan Fei had been hamring away at his hardcore accomplice next to him, he also got a dose of the ‘radiance’.
Yan Fei didn’t care about what he was saying, made him climb onto the tricycle too, and then used the rope to tie them up, loop after loop.
He wondered if these three were also involved in other illegal activities, because they had enough rope on them.
The thief who had just woken up now finally understood his situation.
He was smart enough to keep quiet after seeing the terrible state of his accomplice lying next to him.
Yan Fei looked at them and felt assured that they couldn’t run away.
He then stood up and went running west along the street.
After running a while, he saw a residential area.
Initially, he thought of waking up a family to help watch the thieves, but hesitated and gave up.
He had heard that cattle thieves usually operated in gangs, it was better to rush to the police station.
As he got close to the station, seeing that only a small door was open and it was pitch black inside, he hesitated, turned the corner, and entered the alley opposite the police station.
He entered a small courtyard and started knocking hard on a door.
“Uncle Baoguo, Uncle Baoguo, are you ho…”
