The person who wanted to et Yan Fei wasn’t actually ng Si’an’s uncle. At the end of the year, Wen Zheng was incredibly busy and simply didn’t have ti to deal with family matters. It was the elder gentleman at ho who wanted to et Yan Fei, and Wen Zheng happened to ntion it when he heard from his nephew over the phone that Yan Fei was here.

But at that ti, ng Si’an was completely in a blackout state and couldn’t rember what his uncle had talked about on the phone, except for the last sentence which left a vague impression.

When the two returned ho, Elder Mr. ng was quite pleased and waved his hand, saying to ng Si’an: "Didn’t your uncle have a ssage for you? You go deal with that first while I have a chat with Boss Yan..."

ng Si’an was utterly baffled at the ti: My uncle entrusted with sothing besides bringing Yan back ho?

Poor kid, he didn’t dare tell grandpa about his drinking blackout. Ashad, he headed outside and started brainstorming how to talk to his second uncle so he could extract the previous phone call’s content from him.

Along the way, Yan Fei followed the path pointed out by ng Si’an, marveling at how this elder’s family knew how to enjoy life. Wandering through the residential area and now looking at the house’s seemingly century-old decor, he didn’t notice how torn up ng Si’an was while leading the way.

After Yan Fei had looked around for a while, Elder Mr. ng finally spoke: "How is it? Your ho in the Provincial City, how does it compare to mine?"

"It’s not as nice," Yan Fei nodded honestly. "My place is cluttered with computers and televisions, too many household appliances, and it already lacks this kind of atmosphere. Only soone like you could maintain such a house."

The old man chuckled: "Young people need to live like young people. It’s surely not easy for you to live an old man’s lifestyle now. Let’s not talk about that, I wanted to discuss the dicinal Wine with you."

"What’s up with the dicinal Wine?" Yan Fei was a bit confused.

"I think you can raise your price a bit," the old gentleman said cheerfully. "If you can’t maintain the current production level, reducing it slightly isn’t a problem. As for that little wine shop you’re running over there, I reckon you don’t care about its small profits. If it’s unnecessary, you can consider transferring it behind. When relatives and friends co to buy so, it won’t interfere with your increasingly large cattle-raising business."

Does aging an talking in such roundabout ways?

Yan Fei mused to himself, nodding: "I understand, sir. I’ll proceed as you say when I get back. How much should the price increase be? Maybe two hundred yuan per jar?"

"Cough, cough..." The old gentleman, who was sipping tea calmly after finishing his words, choked when he heard this.

After coughing twice, he sighed helplessly: "You’re quite the big boss now. Can you calculate? Two hundred yuan per jar, how much is that per catty? How much do you sell a catty of beef for? I know for a fact that restaurant steaks start at over a hundred yuan. Your price surely isn’t too low, is it?"

"Too cheap? How about five hundred yuan?" Yan Fei felt a bit embarrassed. "What about a thousand? Surely not three or five thousand for just one jar of wine?"

"Three or five combined would be appropriate!" The old gentleman regained his composure, sipping his tea calmly. "Announce that it’s out of stock externally, and supply should be decreased in the future. In reality, just keep supplying as before. As for the ones at ho, are you still doing the sa as before over there? Then don’t sell those; if anyone needs them, they can co to you for so. If not, there’s no need."

Yan Fei thought for a mont: "I understand. But the household business can’t really stop. So co because they have patients, and even from quite far away, it wouldn’t be right not to sell. People in the countryside can’t afford big hospitals, and this dicinal Wine can sowhat help adjust things. So patients buying a bit will make life a bit easier, at least suffer less."

"Sell to the patients, but those purely drinking can be exempted," the old gentleman said with a smile. "Just keep it low key and don’t flaunt too much."

This last remark was what the old gentleman truly wanted to convey to Yan Fei.

Raising the price earlier was also a sort of low-key approach, claiming a shortage of raw materials and greatly increasing prices. With just these few resources, it would make many who’s coveting feel it’s not worth ntioning.

Yan Fei estimated that perhaps due to dicinal Wine being consud by many, its effectiveness had beco rather noticeable, and soone had set their sights on it. Hence the old gentleman had him co over to offer so advice this ti.

But since the old gentleman didn’t say anything, he wouldn’t ask.

No need for that!

"I’m now preparing to research pharmaceuticals, it’s almost taking shape," Yan Fei thought he should seek advice from insiders ahead of ti. Just hearing rumors about others’ experiences wouldn’t be as valuable as expert guidance. "If I want to enter the market in the future, what should I pay attention to?"

"Already taking shape?" Elder Mr. ng was a bit taken aback. "You’re doing cross-industry research! However, if you’re just starting, it’s still a bit early to talk about market entry now. From developing a new drug to getting it on the market, it’s not sothing that happens within a year or two..."

After listening to the old gentleman explain for quite a while, Yan Fei realized he had oversimplified the matter.

The ti required for a new drug from successful developnt to market sales must be counted in years.

Moreover, acquiring approval for drugs nowadays isn’t just difficult. The most frustrating part for Yan Fei was that this policy changed only last year. Previously, new drugs could be locally approved for market sale; now, rights have been centralized—like a certain well-known brand dicinal Wine, which initially was sold with local approvals as dicine. Only when the policy changed last year did it receive a national pharmaceutical approval number.
