Yan Fei is soone who acts on his words; he hadn’t even thought about what to do after repairing the bridge, and by noon, he took Heizi to the county to find soone.
Secretary Jiao didn’t have any engagents at noon either; he brought Secretary Xiao Zhao along, and the four of them had a simple lunch together.
It really was a simple al.
Frankly, having a too upright secretary isn’t always a good thing; Yan Fei wanted to find a better restaurant but was unable. The old guesthouse diagonally across the county governnt is older than Yan Fei, and inside, despite having undergone several renovations, still exudes an old-fashioned feel.
The food couldn’t be considered good nor bad, but there was certainly plenty. Yan Fei noticed a few people who looked like laborers eating, each with a big bowl of knife-shaved noodles. That bowl was big enough to bathe a kid.
There was no alcohol, just a plate of peanuts, a plate of pork head at, plus so stir-fried radish leaves and green pepper beef.
Secretary Jiao was still pointing at the map: "Let Xiao Shi discuss this plan with the planning bureau; road construction isn’t sothing that can be done on a whim; geological conditions need to be considered. Hmm, this isn’t very crucial since we don’t have issues here. Now, the important thing is the land acquisition; I’ll talk to Old Li in the urban-rural area. Later, when the planning bureau cos out with sothing, we’ll discuss it in a eting..."
Building a road is a big deal, even if it’s just over ten roads; it’s not easy, especially as it involves farming land.
However, when the county first built that provincial road, who knows what considerations were taken by the upper levels; another new road was directly opened, making Sancha River Town feel remote. Now, if Yan Fei opens a direct road, it’s about ten miles closer than the original old road to the county town’s Day Twenty-five mile. Honestly, this distance doesn’t really matter.
In a big city, a ten-mile road is just a bus ride; only in rural areas does it feel far.
They preliminarily discussed this matter during lunch, and then Secretary Jiao asked about the export issue this ti. Yan Fei said it’s currently just a preliminary intention, and the exact export quantity hasn’t been determined yet.
Secretary Jiao thought he was being humble since Yan Fei had already shipped once last ti. Then, after so ti, he started again; evidently, others felt this was confird.
But since Yan Fei was unwilling to say, Secretary Jiao wouldn’t press further, and the matter was left at that.
In the afternoon, Heizi started running around for the road construction, while Yan Fei went to the at Processing Factory, taking Yan Chao with him. Being scolded by his mom for bringing his brother along, thankfully Director Lin was busy, and after scolding Yan Fei, she started telling him how the factory was flourishing—poor Yan Chao, who skipped class thinking he could have fun, ended up listening to his mom’s speeches for half the afternoon, feeling awful, and restless as if covered in cattle ticks...
Actually, the at Processing Factory’s growth is inevitable; those days of visiting relatives during holidays with two packs of fruit and two packs of candy have almost disappeared. Now, who doesn’t bring gift boxes on such visits? No matter what’s inside, at least it looks flashy and impressive.
Dried beef has long been in gift box packaging and has gained quite a reputation; its sales in surrounding provinces and cities have been excellent.
Speaking of local enterprises, there’s a rather amusing phenonon. One type is where local enterprises’ products can’t be sold locally, and locals dismiss or even disdain them. Another type is where they’re highly praised locally, and there’s a sense of pride as if the enterprise were their own when ntioned elsewhere.
The reasons are many, but an important one is that Yan Fei has always been willing to invest, especially in areas like environntal protection. Locals certainly won’t like an enterprise that discharges wastewater daily, no matter how good their products are, as ’bad reputation’ spreads among nearby people.
Conversely, if you can satisfy the locals, there’s no worry. Like Yan Fei’s cattle farm here, River Heart Island doesn’t even need ntioning; it’s like a garden zoo, and rural folks who visit often boast about it.
Even the old site here and the new site are well-landscaped, with wastewater treated before being discharged. The daily managent is good, completely different from the dirty farms people usually imagine.
Although there’s still a faint odor when you enter, the surface is enough to leave a good impression. Plus, all three sites are next to the river, yet the downstream water shows no signs of pollution, so good reputation naturally follows.
Of course, the main thing is the recent news from Sancha River since Cow Flower Company started; the cattle farm has been constantly in the news. This ti, it’s the export matter, as Secretary Jiao asked. From the mont Yan Fei asked Heizi to prepare for continued cattle export, every cattle farr in Tanghe County knew our cattle here are truly going to be sold in Arica.
Just with this matter, Secretary Jiao didn’t even discuss whether the city would approve the road construction. There’s no need to ask for money from above, and it’s the exporting enterprise that wants to build; you’re saying you won’t approve? Who’s joking? Step forward and show the hundreds of thousands of folks in our county and city.
Even Yan Fei didn’t foresee this point; the ans he used were certainly not honorable. But for Wancheng City folks, many who are aware are watching this matter closely, and if it succeeds, there will surely be great publicity. In an agricultural city, selling the local specialty to the other side of Earth is definitely a big event.
