Carlotta thought and thought, suddenly realizing she couldn’t rashly ask the other party why they were injured.

As the last remaining powerful elf left in the Bass Archipelago, the other party’s strength was undoubtedly terrifying. Yet even so, she had sustained injuries, wounds difficult to recover from through conventional ans. This alone was enough to indicate sothing extrely serious was involved.

Under these circumstances, she couldn’t simply go and reveal she knew about the other’s injury. How could she possibly know? Unless she was sohow connected to the incident that caused the injury, which would be extrely unsafe.

Right now, Valerie clearly didn’t look like soone who was injured. She shouldn’t see through this.

To avoid any accidents, she absolutely mustn’t say anything she shouldn’t. But if she didn’t ntion this, how could she possibly establish a connection with the other party?

Valerie had clearly stated that unless it was sothing important, she shouldn’t go and disturb her. So ultimately, she still needed a reason.

After pondering for a while, Carlotta fell into deep thought, and an idea surfaced in her mind.

Since being too direct wouldn’t work, could she try a more roundabout thod?

It was known that Valerie was injured, and her wounds were difficult to heal, she had a need for Source of Life.

Under these circumstances, wouldn’t it be enough to simply let the other party know she had Source of Life? Perhaps then the other party will approach her first.

But how could she let the other party know this? She couldn’t possibly bring out Source of Life and sell it right here at this birthday party, could she?

Carlotta thought for a mont, her expression shifting.

’Perhaps, so things aren’t as difficult as imagined.’

Carlotta imdiately stood up and walked toward the crowd, starting conversations with so acquaintances, briefly ntioning yesterday’s gathering of celebrities.

She called Zorn and went over, exclaiming, "Sir, that Sky Cornerstone you sold yesterday really made envious. Unfortunately, I lacked the funds to obtain that marvelous material."

Zorn hadn’t forgotten Carlotta either, especially since her performance in yesterday’s battle had been quite impressive. Now, she was ranked fifteenth on the Celebrity List.

"It’s unfortunate, but for that material, I could only choose the highest bidder."

Zorn replied.

The surrounding people were all ones who had participated in yesterday’s gathering, Sienna, lissa, they had all co.

As Carlotta steered the conversation toward yesterday’s transactions, others casually added their own comnts on the topic.

Soone ntioned, "Miss Layla, selling ten bottles of Source of Life all at once is truly astonishing. Are you really not from the Life Tree Organization?"

Carlotta smiled and shook her head. "I’m not from Life Tree. It was just a coincidence, back then I happened to buy a bit extra of Source of Life."

"So you still have so left?"

"Of course I do. I need to keep so for myself, after all."

"I rember yesterday, Dale from chanical Fortress kept wanting to buy Source of Life from you."

"That’s true, but I won’t sell it to him. I just hope he doesn’t pester about it."

"He won’t be able to pester you anymore."

lissa lowered her voice and said, "According to a little insider information I got, Dale died yesterday for so unknown reason."

Carlotta promptly showed an expression of surprise, "How could he suddenly die? Wasn’t he ranked ninth on the Celebrity List? And wasn’t he a powerful Resonator? What kind of expert would it take to defeat him?"

lissa sobbed. "This matter clearly has nothing to do with us. Recently, chanical Fortress has provoked so mysterious enemies. It must have been that mysterious opponent who struck back, retaliating against chanical Fortress. Now, the people from chanical Fortress are all living in fear, dismayed by becoming the next target of retaliation."

Carlotta had no intention of continuing to target anyone from chanical Fortress. Who knew if this wasn’t so kind of trap?

She casually continued on this topic without much concern, more focused on Valerie’s situation.

She knew Valerie was a powerful expert, so she wouldn’t fixate her attention on her, not even a sideways glance, to avoid being detected and raising suspicion.

Now, she only needed to deliberately ntion so sensitive topics, such as possessing Source of Life.

"Perhaps it really is my fault. If I had sold Dale a bottle of Source of Life yesterday, maybe he could’ve survived."

Carlotta said offhandedly.

She was just making a passing comnt, continuing to steer the topic back to Source of Life.

But as soon as these words left her mouth, she couldn’t help but reflect on them, suddenly feeling this might actually be a problem.

Could it be that the people from chanical Fortress really believed Dale could’ve survived if he’d obtained Source of Life, and thus hold a grudge against her?

’I hope you don’t keep pushing your luck again and again. If you do, I definitely won’t let it go.’

Carlotta thought darkly to herself.

"Source of Life really is a good thing. It can save lives in critical monts. Can you sell a bottle?"

Sienna asked with a smile.

"Why didn’t you buy it yesterday?"

Carlotta asked.

"I didn’t have money."

"Then you probably still don’t have money now. Are you expecting to give you one? I won’t do it."

Carlotta flatly refused.

Sienna helplessly shrugged her hands.

Carlotta continued the conversation, turning to Zorn and asking, "Mr. Zorn, can your Vampire race use items like Source of Life?"

"Of course we can."

Zorn affird, "Although there are great differences between Vampires and human physiology, and many alchemical dicines aren’t compatible, Source of Life is not one of them. It truly is an excellent alchemical dicine."

"Then would you like to buy so? I think you’re definitely wealthy enough."

Carlotta said with a smile.

Zorn replied, surprised: "If you’re willing, of course I’ll take so. No one ever has too much of such things."

"That’s right..."

Carlotta was about to say more, when suddenly she felt soone nearby.

Besides her, Zorn and the others’ expressions changed as they turned toward the person who had suddenly appeared.

Even Zorn hadn’t detected the slightest movent of the other’s arrival. That’s fast.

"Ms. Graham."

"Lady Graham."

Zorn, Sienna, lissa, and others all spoke up, using different titles, but all with respect.

Carlotta turned around, seeing Valerie looking at her, and realized she had successfully set the bait.

On the surface, she simply addressed the other like the rest, "Ms. Graham."

Valerie spoke indifferently: "What’s your na?"

Carlotta replied, "Layla Shirley."

"Alright, Miss Layla. If it’s convenient, could you co with ? I’d like to discuss sothing with you."

To others, Valerie Graham’s arrival was sudden, but for Carlotta, everything was as expected.

Under the astonished gazes of the others, Carlotta simply followed Valerie and sat down in a corner.

Valerie looked at Carlotta and asked straightforwardly, "Earlier, I heard you say you have the Source of Life?"

This alchemical potion from the Life Tree Organization was extrely rare, even renowned experts might not possess it, since it was a consumable item difficult to store for long periods.

Carlotta nodded slightly. "I do have a few bottles of Source of Life left. Do you need this alchemical potion, madam?"

Valerie said, "I do want to purchase one bottle. If you’re willing to sell, just na a price."

Carlotta smiled. "I originally intended to keep these Source of Lifes for myself, but if you desire one, I can certainly part with it."

"What’s the price?"

Valerie asked.

She spoke very directly, straight to the point, no detours, only wanting to resolve matters quickly.

Carlotta had roughly grasped Valerie’s personality. After a brief pause, she said, "I want to learn the Elven Knight Path."

Even Valerie was montarily stunned by this reply, clearly not expecting Carlotta to make such a request.

She fell silent for a mont before saying, "The Elven Knight Path can be learned in many places. Are you sure you want to learn it from ? There’s no need. You’d be better off making a monetary demand."

Carlotta said, "I know the Elven Knight Path is widely circulated, but those are all versions adapted by the human expert Elora. I don’t need those."

"You want the Elven version? But the Elven version can’t even be learned by humans."

Valerie was puzzled.

At the sa ti, she thought of the human expert Elora. She had to admit, the woman was truly extraordinary, managing to modify the Elven Knight Path, originally exclusive to elves, into a usable version by humans.

Although humans could only train up to the peak tier Listener stage, it was still astonishing. This event had once caused a huge uproar among the elves, making many of them uneasy.

"Yes, I want the Elven version. And I want the complete version."

Carlotta stated.

"The complete version? You an you also want the content beyond peak tier Listener?"

Valerie asked.

Carlotta nodded. "Exactly."

Valerie grew even more confused. "What use would you have for those parts? You’ve already focused on card magic, how do you plan to improve the Secondary Elven Knight Path? Even Elora himself could only advance his secondary skill to peak tier Listener. She couldn’t go further. That’s already the limit for a secondary path."

Aside from secondary training, Valerie didn’t think humans had any reason to practice the Elven Knight Path, because there were no subsequent versions. Reaching peak tier Listener is the end of the road.

The Elven Knight Path was more suitable for elves.

Carlotta smiled and said, "I’m simply interested in the Elven Knight Path and want to study it, considering adding it to my collection. I don’t necessarily have to practice it myself. That’s why I want the complete version."

"Just for collecting?"

"Yes. Isn’t the content starting from the Resonator stage supposed to be secret?"

"Not exactly."

Valerie shook her head. "Elora herself once obtained the complete version of the Elven Knight Path... If you wish to use this as compensation, I can fulfill your request."

Even the advanced portions of the Elven Knight Path weren’t exactly a secret in this world, only that finding those later parts was sowhat difficult. She didn’t mind sharing the relevant content with Carlotta.

"Thank you, madam. I’ll take the Elven Knight Path."

Carlotta’s eyes sparkled.

Even though Elora herself had been unable to master the advanced stages beginning from Resonator, she was different from that human expert.

She could use cheats!

Back when she first mastered the Elven Knight Path, the intel had already provided the optimal training thod. The reason she now possesses such formidable combat power was precisely because her understanding of the Elven Knight Path was incredibly profound, allowing her to attain unimaginable strength.

She believed that as long as she obtained the advanced content, the intel would still provide suitable training thods, absolutely ones adaptable to the human physique.

"Since you’ve decided thus, I’ll explain it to you in detail. However, this isn’t sothing simple. Perhaps we should arrange another ti."

Valerie said.

"I’m looking forward to it."

Carlotta smiled and handed over a bottle of Source of Life to Valerie.

She indicated she could give the Source of Life first, trusting that the other party wouldn’t renege on the deal.

"I’ll take the Source of Life for now. Co find tomorrow at Island 97, anyti is fine, I’ll be there."

Valerie accepted the Source of Life and said.

"I’ll co as early as possible."

Carlotta replied.

Thinking about finally gaining access to the advanced Elven Knight Path, Carlotta’s heart swelled with anticipation.

After setting the ti, she left and casually conversed again with Zorn, Sienna, lissa, and others.

"Did Madam Graham approach you to buy Source of Life?"

Zorn asked curiously.

"It concerns that lady. We’d better not talk about it."

Carlotta showed no intention of elaborating.

She didn’t chat with them for long before returning to Alia’s side.

Still, she sold a bottle of Source of Life to Zorn. She essentially had an unlimited supply, as long as materials were sufficient.

Sitting beside Alia, Carlotta t her gaze and smiled slightly. "All set. Details later."

Alia nodded.

The birthday banquet continued as usual, warm and lively, with many people participating, keeping the rmaid princess Helen’s face constantly smiling.

Only when the dark night fell and the birthday banquet ended did everyone gradually leave.

Carlotta and Alia didn’t linger either.

Back in their hotel room, Carlotta recounted to Alia everything she’d discussed with Valerie.

"Finally, I’ll get my hands on the advanced Elven Knight Path. I wonder what it’ll be like."

Carlotta was filled with anticipation.

"Carlotta, you are a miracle."

Alia gazed deeply at Carlotta, her voice tinged with awe.

That Carlotta could continue advancing in the Elven Knight Path was in itself a miracle, one that would surpass the human expert Elora, becoming a new upper limit for secondary disciplines.
