"Anyone else who insists on opposing us besides Simon McKinley?"

As Carlotta spoke, she displayed incomparable speed, flashing behind Simon in an instant and slashing her sword toward him.

Simon’s heart jolted. He quickly sidestepped while activating his Northern Knight movent skills, using a strange force to attempt distorting Carlotta’s attack and throw off her angle.

Carlotta was no stranger to such techniques, Fourth Movent Elven Dance could achieve similar effects, so she knew exactly how to respond.

She imdiately activated Elven Dance, generating a countering force that canceled out Simon’s.

Her attack then pierced straight through Simon’s shoulder, slicing away a chunk of flesh.

"Ah!"

Simon cried out in pain, quickly retreating with a ghastly expression.

He knew Carlotta had been aiming for his head. If he hadn’t dodged just in ti, his head would’ve already rolled.

"We’re withdrawing. We won’t compete for the treasure site anymore."

Aubrey spoke, leading the Baki Adventurer Group to turn and leave.

This decision instantly changed the expressions of the others.

Simon’s face turned even paler as he shouted, "What are you afraid of? With so many of us here, can’t we deal with just these two?"

Aubrey said nothing, rely continuing to walk away.

Ralph of the Rock Shield Adventurer Group quickly followed, whispering, "Why are you withdrawing?"

Ralph himself was wavering, uncertain whether to fight or retreat.

Aubrey paused briefly, speaking softly, "She’s too fast. We can’t catch her. With that speed, she can harass us endlessly without rest. It’ll be troubleso."

After saying this, Aubrey continued walking away.

A treasure site was undoubtedly tempting, but if obtaining it was too difficult, hesitation was inevitable.

Ralph suddenly understood. Recalling the speed Carlotta had displayed, he couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

"We’re withdrawing too. We’re out."

He led the Rockshield Adventurer Group mbers away in another direction.

Seeing this, the remaining people quickly made their decisions. Many chose to retreat, unwilling to continue fighting Carlotta and Alia.

This choice was shocking, after all, their opponents were rely apprentices. Yet these adventurer groups composed of Listeners chose to avoid direct confrontation and cease fighting.

But still, so chose to remain.

Besides another early tier Listener from the Shining Adventurer Group, two other adventurer groups stayed behind, each possessing a middle tier Listener.

"Three against two. The advantage is still ours."

The two middle tier Listeners simultaneously advanced, their gazes intimidating, treating Carlotta and the others as prey.

However, they automatically excluded the early tier Listeners from consideration, believing them incapable of participating in such a battle. This left the early tier Listeners present feeling particularly bitter.

Since when did early tier Listeners lose even the qualification to fight against re apprentices?

At that mont, Aubrey’s Baki Adventurer Group and Ralph’s Rockshield Adventurer Group suddenly returned.

Seeing the two groups co back, Simon’s spirits lifted. "Have you changed your mind? Five against two, we absolutely cannot lose."

Carlotta and Alia’s expressions grew solemn, but soon they wore strange looks.

Aubrey and Ralph, appearing to have changed their minds, walked over to stand beside the two other middle tier Listeners. But then, suddenly, they launched attacks, ambushing them and severely injuring both middle tier Listeners on the spot.

"What are you doing?!"

"Damn it! Why are you attacking ?!"

The two middle tier Listeners retreated in shock, a man and a woman both showing pained expressions.

Only then did Aubrey speak, "We’ve co back to help the Moonlight Adventurer Guild. No ulterior motives, just want to make a connection."

"Exactly."

Ralph grinned.

While leaving, Aubrey had suddenly realized sothing. Walking away would certainly prevent him from making enemies with Carlotta and Alia , but it would also end their relationship there. But what if he turned back and offered help in their ti of need?

These two ninth-rank apprentices capable of killing middle tier Listeners, would be unimaginably terrifying figures once they beca Listeners. Why wouldn’t one want to befriend such people?

So Aubrey returned, and coincidentally t Ralph. It seed their thoughts were identical.

"Great, now it’s four against three."

Carlotta couldn’t help but smile.

She and Alia imdiately launched fierce attacks against Simon, suppressing him relentlessly. Wound after wound appeared on his body. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t escape the beating.

Aubrey and Ralph each engaged one opponent. The two, already seriously injured by the surprise attack, stood no chance and were quickly suppressed, unable to break free.

During this, Carlotta noticed several early Listeners attempting to flee. She instantly abandoned Simon and gave chase, slashing one down with a single strike. She continued pursuing the others, quickly eliminating all hostile early tier Listeners in the jungle without prolonged combat.

By the ti Carlotta returned to Wimin, he could no longer withstand Alia. A barrage of oddly-shaped weapons pierced his body. He died with eyes wide open.

Carlotta imdiately turned, becoming a wisp of wind as she rushed to Aubrey’s side and launched a fierce assault. Alia headed over to assist Ralph.

Not long after, the two remaining middle tier Listeners were killed under the group’s combined attacks. In their final monts, they deeply regretted their choices and begged Carlotta for rcy. But people must always pay the price for their decisions. Carlotta wasn’t rciful or hesitant, when it was ti to strike, she did so without pity.

As the dust settled, a bloody stench drifted through the woods.

Carlotta turned to Aubrey and Ralph, saying, "I’ll rember your help. If you ever need assistance, co find ."

Aubrey and Ralph couldn’t help but smile. Their goal had been achieved. They imdiately took their leave.

Next ca the ti to collect the spoils.

Carlotta and Alia searched the corpses one by one, acquiring many valuable items. Although most were unusable to them, they could sell them for money after leaving Sky Island.

"It’s not an Artifact Item. What a pity."

Carlotta picked up Jemina’s weapon. As a fellow swordsman, she had held so hope. If the weapon had been an Artifact Item, it could have beco her own once she beca a Listener. Unfortunately, the weapon was rely a high-grade alchemical tool.

Simon’s weapon was the sa.

Even for Listeners, Artifact Items weren’t common at all.

However, Simon’s weapon was sowhat interesting, it could shrink into a ring and only transform back into a long spear when needed, making it convenient to carry.

"Don’t any of these people have spatial items?"

Carlotta muttered.

Alia explained, "Spatial items are very precious. Normally, only so Listeners might possess them, and they’re slightly more common among Resonators. People like you and who have them at the Apprentice stage are rare exceptions."

She had the Ten-Heart Pearl, and Carlotta had the Storage Card, both were spatial items, extrely uncommon for Apprentices.

She obtained the Ten-Heart Pearl due to her background, but how Carlotta acquired her Storage Card remained a mystery even to Alia.

The Storage Card required spatial stones. Though spatial stones were rare materials that could be found outside, their value wasn’t as high as Wind Stones. Still, it was surprising for an Apprentice to own one.

"I feel like they’re kind of poor? They’ve been on Sky Island for a while now, do they really only have this much on them?"

Carlotta searched through their belongings but wasn’t satisfied.

Alia said, "Perhaps they have their own hidden treasure spots."

Carlotta fell into thought. Many things were inconvenient to carry, so after discovering valuable items, most people would hide them in secret places, only retrieving them when their ti on Sky Island ended.

’Information, oh Information, shouldn’t you give a map recording all the hidden treasure locations?’

Carlotta pondered.

She didn’t intend to take everything everyone had hidden, but surely there was no reason not to claim what belonged to enemies?

She’d just have to wait until the next midnight to see what happened.

"Let’s go."

Carlotta and Alia didn’t linger on this mountain. The scent of the monster fruit still lingered, and the Flaming Bird might return at any mont. A peak Listener-level monster, sothing they had no intention of facing.

As it turned out, Carlotta’s judgnt was correct.

Shortly after they left the mountain, the Flaming Bird arrived from the distant sky, descending upon the peak with scorching flas.

Carlotta glanced back from afar. "This Flaming Bird’s speed doesn’t seem as fast as I imagined..."

"Don’t think about doing anything stupid."

Alia imdiately grabbed Carlotta and warned, "This isn’t the Flaming Bird flying at full speed. Bird-type monsters are naturally fast. If it flies at full speed, even with your Speed Card, you might not be able to outrun it. After all, you still have to maneuver around obstacles, but the bird doesn’t."

Carlotta laughed. "Don’t worry, I won’t go looking for trouble with the Flaming Bird. Aside from the materials it’s made of, it doesn’t carry anything valuable. Not worth my effort."

But she did start considering other monsters. Now that she had the Speed Card, not every peak Listener-level monster could catch her. And within the territories of such monsters, there were often good materials. She wondered if she could just raid a few.

"You..."

Alia looked at Carlotta, unsure what to say.

She knew Carlotta too well. Just by seeing the way her eyes darted around, she could guess what she was thinking.

The existence of the Speed Card had definitely made Carlotta bolder.

Alia had to remind her, "If you want to target peak Listener-level monsters, that’s fine, just make sure to pick ones that aren’t fast. Also, don’t even think about Resonator monsters."

"Resonator monsters, huh..."

Carlotta actually started considering it.

She still had the Intelligence-provided locations of Resonator monsters, knew the positions of all Resonator in the outer region, she just didn’t know which of them were fast.

"Carlotta, are you even listening to ?"

Alia asked helplessly.

"I heard, I heard. I won’t go after Resonator monsters."

Carlotta quickly replied.

"Really?"

"Really."

Looking at Carlotta’s innocent face, Alia didn’t quite believe her, sensing that Carlotta’s inner impulses were still stirring.

She had to distract Carlotta with sothing else. "Let’s find the rest of the adventurers from groups like the Dawn Light Adventurer Group. They should know where their respective groups’ hidden treasure spots are."

Previously, only the Listeners from each adventuring group had entered the mountain. The Apprentices were still waiting outside.

Carlotta thought she could obtain the treasure locations through Intelligence, but there was no harm in getting the information early.

"Let’s go, find them."

"Follow ."

Alia took the lead.

She had been using the Soldier Roster to control certain people, keeping tabs on these Apprentices and knowing exactly where they were.

Worth ntioning, the captured prisoners from the Dawn Light Adventurer Group had all been added to the Soldier Roster.

Due to the earlier battle, many people on nearby mountains had sensed the disturbance, including the previous captives. After witnessing Carlotta and Alia’s terrifying combat power, it was hard for anyone not to submit willingly.

Not long after, Carlotta spotted the Dawn Light Adventurer Group’ Apprentices. They had already been captured by Mia and her group, and were even being interrogated about the treasure location.

These few Dawn Light Adventurer Group had originally been defiant, but the mont they saw Carlotta and Alia appear, their faces instantly turned pale.

"I’ll talk. I’ll tell you everything."

As expected, the location of the Dawn Light Adventurer Group’s hidden treasure was revealed, and these people beca new prisoners.

The situation with the other adventuring groups was similar. After Carlotta and Alia made their rounds across the nearby mountains, over twenty captives from different adventuring groups trailed behind them.

At the sa ti, they learned the locations of several hidden treasures and imdiately decided to start with the nearest ones.

Since they had spatial items, there was no need to leave the loot in so hidden spot. Of course, storing them in their spatial items was far more reassuring.

Along the way, nothing particularly noteworthy happened. By the ti the sky began to lighten, the group had collected everything from all the known hidden treasure spots into their spatial items.

However, these hidden caches only contained what each adventuring group had gathered over a few short days, not particularly valuable.

The most valuable find was a batch of herbs from the Dawn Light Adventurer Group’s. Many of these herbs were extrely rare, capable of producing powerful alchemical potions with significant effects, even beneficial to Listeners.

Unfortunately, neither Carlotta nor Alia knew alchemy, so they could only store the materials for now and sell them later when they returned to the outside world.

Still, this batch of herbs was truly valuable, difficult to find outside. Perhaps finding soone who knew alchemy to make potions for them would be a better option.
