At that mont, Claire Prescott’s heart was pounding.

She felt as if her entire being was enveloped by a warm force, soaking her in tenderness; the world seed to drift into a serene and dreamy state, so blissful that the lingering sensation felt a bit unreal.

She didn’t expect such a abrupt and rude request to be fulfilled.

The embrace was released.

Claire quickly ca to her senses, raising her eyes to look at the person who kissed her, "Thank you, Aunt Maddie."

Madeline White patted her head and asked with a smile, "Does this count as a mutual endeavor?"

Claire nodded emphatically, "It does."

Madeline was healed by her bright and pure smile.

No wonder the Lancaster Family wanted to snatch her away, a lovely and playful little girl like this, which elder wouldn’t be chard?

However, fortunately, she had a layer of idol aura that allowed her to be adored with such devotion, making it worthwhile to lend a hand to her son at this critical juncture.

She spoke gently, "No matter what happens, always believe that Auntie will be on your side."

"Okay."

Madeline didn’t delay any longer, "Then I won’t take up your ti, I’ll head back first."

"Mm, take care, Auntie."

Saying this, Claire accompanied her out of the consultation room, apologizing to the patient before personally sending her out of Sinclair Apothecary.

When she returned to the consultation room.

The patient waiting outside couldn’t help but ask her, "Was that Madeline White just now?"

Claire paused for a mont, then nodded.

The patient looked excited and curiously probed, "What’s your relationship? Are you family?"

Claire didn’t answer her question, deftly steering the conversation back, "Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

...

After work.

Realizing it’s Saturday and tomorrow is a day off, Claire felt relieved and stretched lazily.

She glanced at the bouquet that Keane Lowell had sent her, walked to the windowsill, and looked at the mature blooming flowers with stems soaking in water.

Unfortunately, the flower’s bloom period was short; if left for another two days, they would wither.

Relaxing quietly for a while, she recalled the ring she saw at the jewelry store a couple of nights ago.

Wondering if it had been engraved yet.

She called to confirm and then prepared to set out, taking the driver arranged by Keane; first, she went to the jewelry store to pick up the ring and then went to pick up soone from work.

She hadn’t announced the plan, wanting to surprise him.

But she feared it might be futile.

After getting the ring, she sent him a ssage to confirm, asking what ti he would be off work.

Unexpectedly, sothing went awry; upon arrival, the man had already left work early, his tall figure appearing at the entrance of the CBD building.

Through the window, Claire spotted him at once.

A luxurious white shirt tucked into trousers, blending pristine elegance with a stern aura that seed to ward off strangers.

Behind him lood a towering skyscraper, emitting a glorious glow in the night.

Though she’d occasionally passed by here before and was aware it was a significant landmark in Kystral, she never truly paid the Lowell-Kystral Group much heed.

Now, suddenly, her impression of Keane was sowhat more tangible.

Deep-rooted background, wealth, and authority.

His gaze directly t hers.

The car windows were one-way, even if he couldn’t see anything, it seed as if that gentle gaze pierced through the barrier, capturing all her expressions into his eyes.

Claire lowered the car window, her gaze naturally eting his.

As soon as the car stopped, she unbuckled her seatbelt and dashed out, hugging the person she hadn’t seen in three days.

Keane embraced her readily.

The fragrance mixed with a faint dicinal scent from the young girl filled his nostrils, her warm body against his, driving away all his fatigue.

"Did you co to pick up from work?"

Claire smiled brightly at him, "How about it? Am I doing well as your girlfriend?"

Keane was amused by the word "well," lowering his head to place a restrained kiss on her soft lips.

A gentle, tender kiss, devoid of any desire.

"Let’s go eat." Saying this, Keane led her into the car.

Their hands clasped never to be parted.

Since the car accident last ti, Keane no longer hugged her during the ride.

After discussing where to eat, Claire spoke first, announcing, "Aunt Maddie ca to see today."

Keane responded calmly, "I know."

"She knows we’re together."

The man replied with an "mm," "She really likes you, can you tell?"

"Of course, she even kissed today, and said we were mutually striving." Her voice brimd with pride, her clear voice captivating under the dappled glow.

Keane’s face stiffened slightly.

His gaze settled steadily on her radiant, pure face, observing how her eyes brimd with fascination when ntioning "Aunt Maddie," as if a sea of stars had descended into her eyes.

Even under the shifting shadows of the window, she remained dazzling.

"Where did she kiss?" He asked in a low voice, tinged with an unidentifiable emotion.

Claire sensed nothing amiss, lifted a finger pointing to her forehead—the spot where Madeline kissed her—"Here."

Keane’s eyes suddenly darkened slightly.

He suddenly released her hand, pressing his thumb firmly on the spot she had pointed to.

Even though there wasn’t a trace left on her smooth forehead, he still felt extrely displeased.

Claire was montarily stunned.

Then she heard his possessive voice declare, "From now on, only I can kiss you, no one else can touch you anywhere, not even my mom."

Claire was montarily speechless, taking his hand from her forehead and holding it, she couldn’t help but say sarcastically, "I never realized President Lowell gets jealous, even of his own mother."

He responded lowly, "It’s not jealousy."

"If it’s not jealousy, what is it?"

"Kissing is an intimate act exclusive to us, no one else can intrude."

Upon hearing this.

Claire’s ears began to heat faintly, suddenly the man’s hand in her palm felt particularly sticky and hot.

She fully understood his words.

It’s simply that only he can kiss her all over, kissing is sothing couples do, his possessiveness was at play.

For soone of such status and power to utter sothing so sweetly soppy, yet say it with utter seriousness.

She avoided his gaze, softly saying, "Whatever you say goes."

The words slowly faded away.

The whole car fell into a brief silence.

Keane glanced at their entwined hands.

The young girl silently fiddling with them, sotis pinching, sotis tracing his finger joints, finally gently holding it with one hand.

He rely thought she was bored, not minding at all.

However, in the two seconds after he shifted his gaze.

A circular tal wrapped around his right middle finger.
