"Then we’ll try again tomorrow," Matilda said calmly, unfazed by the possibility of things going awry.

"And Master Davian?" Arthur’s frown deepened, displeased by the idea of having to drug the Master multiple tis to achieve their goal.

Matilda’s green eyes glittered at his question, her evil scheming loudly written on her face.

If Davian was unconscious for the most part of several hours, she could get Savannah to go after him.

If her daughter were also pregnant for Davian, it would give them more of a hold over him...

"You promised," Arthur reminded her, "No harm cos to either or Master Davian."

"Oh, calm down," She said lightly, making hand motions. "Even if only Davian takes the bait we can just take the male Oga while he’s awake."

"Davian would be dead to the world, taking him by force would be relatively easy." Matilda said.

Arthur was thoughtful, he would have to tamper with the security caras but he already did that often so it wouldn’t be a problem.

Even though Master Davian never asked for security cam footage, he was always careful to cover all of his tracks.

"I can get behind that," He cleared his throat, the tension easing out of his stiff shoulders.

They wouldn’t be carrying out their plans till dinner ti so they had enough ti to get all of the minute details down.

"And what will you do after that?" Arthur had to ask.

His job was to prepare the stage, he would get the drugs in the food, give the signal for when it was ti to make the move, and make sure the security cam had nothing on them.

"I will barely do anything," Matilda leaned even closer, "I will be in the dining room with my dear Savannah... or at least everyone will think I was."

"We’ll need to take him out a back door, or at least through a place where we won’t be seen, eyewitnesses are a danger to us..."

Arthur flicked his eyes over at Savannah at Matilda’s words, the young Oga didn’t look too thrilled to be there but she was an accessory to the cri they were plotting.

If she snitched, they would all be going down, including her.

"That can easily be arranged," He couldn’t help but smile.

Their plan was falling together so perfectly, that it was almost like fate was giving them a helping hand.

By dinner ti, all of the house staff in the mansion would have clocked out for the day.

It was his job to move around so it wouldn’t be surprising for the security cams to catch him in several places at that ti.

If Lake took the bait and ate the drugged food, he would be able to easily take the Oga out of the mansion all by himself.

Stuffing the slender Oga in a laundry cart and covering him up with clothes to move him around would be simple and inconspicuous.

He explained that possible plan in detail to Matilda who listened with gleaming eyes, approval on her face.

They could really accomplish a lot if they could just work together without stabbing the other in the back.

Keith and Peter went on high alert when they got to Lake’s apartnt, Keith stood in front of Caspian to knock on the door, Peter standing at the back to keep a sharp eye out.

Just like with the nurous calls Caspian had given Lake, there was no response to their incessant knocking on the door.

"That’s it," Keith muttered, moving closer. "I’m breaking in."

Caspian didn’t even think to protest, his face a little pale from worry.

He half-expected Keith to just move the door down like his mate was prone to doing but the Beta instead reached into his jacket for sothing.

After a few monts of soft clicking in the silence that enveloped them after the knocking stopped, Keith pushed the door open.

"Wait out here with Peter," Keith said decisively.

He didn’t often give Caspian orders, as a matter of fact, he had never done it before so it said a lot about how dire the situation was.

Caspian did as he was told, waiting impatiently outside Lake’s apartnt with Peter while Keith went through the apartnt silently.

It was a good thing the entrance to Lake’s apartnt wasn’t directly in the line of sight of the security guards or the neighbors.

Because they would have already been interrupted at that point, by people demanding what they were doing.

Keith didn’t spend very long inside the apartnt, he was back outside in no ti, a furrow on his brow.

"What’s going on?" Caspian asked impatiently, taking a step forward.

Keith was completely unhard, just very confused. "There’s no one inside," He said bluntly, going into further detail.

"There was nothing out of place too, it just looks like Lake went out."

Caspian wanted to check for himself but he knew that Keith wouldn’t lie about sothing like this, he also knew that the Beta would have been thorough with his search.

"We could ask the security if they saw anything," Peter suggested when everyone went silent for the longest ti.

It was clear that no one knew what to think, and they sort of hit a wall with the empty apartnt.

It ant that there was no other way to reach Lake seeing as he wasn’t picking up his phone.

The suggestion of speaking to the security guards gave them a purpose again, Keith closing the door harmlessly.

The security had seen them drive in and were curious to see them approach after only a few minutes of driving in.

"Have you seen the occupant of that apartnt today?" Caspian was the one to ask, Peter and Keith, standing back a little.

They didn’t want the guards to get defensive because of their presence so it was best that Caspian handled the questioning.

"Yeah," A security with a bushy beard approached him, his partner standing so distance away, a baton strapped to his hip.

"Who’s looking?" The security demanded, pushing out his chest.
