"Seraphina, Cole is completely wasted. Maybe I should take him back to the Xavier family ho, just in case sothing happens."
Nathaniel Quinn looked at the dead-drunk Kaden Xavier, a headache coming on.
In all the years they’d known each other, this was the first ti he’d ever seen Kaden Xavier this drunk.
Last ti, Cole had warned him not to get involved in his and Seraphina’s affairs. If he woke up and saw...
"What could happen at my place? Nathaniel, do you also think I’m a burden? That you don’t want dragging you down?"
Seraphina Sutton’s eyes welled with tears as she asked in a choked voice.
Nathaniel Quinn quickly waved his hands, a wave of guilt washing over him.
"Seraphina, don’t overthink it. I didn’t an it like that. Here, let’s hurry and get Cole to a room to rest."
"Okay."
Seraphina Sutton wiped her tears and, with Nathaniel Quinn, helped Kaden Xavier into the room.
"Nathaniel, I can make so soup to help him sober up, but I’m out of honey. Could you go out and buy so? I’ll take care of Kaden here."
Nathaniel Quinn nodded, not suspecting Seraphina Sutton at all.
Seraphina Sutton gazed at the sleeping Kaden Xavier, her expression one of infatuation.
She slowly sat on the edge of the bed, her hand reaching out to caress Kaden Xavier’s handso face—a face countless won vied for.
"Kaden, don’t you feel anything for at all?"
But as soon as she spoke, Kaden Xavier suddenly grabbed her hand. His brows furrowed as he pressed it against his cheek.
"Wren, stop fooling around... Let’s go ho..."
"Wren..."
He kept murmuring Wren Wynter’s na, his voice so gentle it could practically drip water, filled more with adoration and pleading.
Seraphina Sutton’s face darkened. She petulantly snatched her hand back, her beautiful eyes flashing with jealousy.
’It’s Wren Wynter again. What’s so great about her, anyway?’
’If it weren’t for her, the title of Mrs. Xavier should have been mine!’
She suppressed a low scream, her chest heaving with anger.
Seraphina Sutton glanced back at Kaden Xavier, and a calculating glint flashed in her eyes.
She took off her coat and changed into a sexy nightgown.
It was so revealing you could see the pale expanse of her chest.
She took out her phone, undid a few buttons on Kaden Xavier’s shirt, then moved closer, resting her head on his chest.
The two of them were in a very suggestive position.
Seraphina Sutton even slipped her hand inside Kaden Xavier’s shirt.
Then, she quickly snapped a few intimate photos of them, preparing to send them to Wren Wynter.
She believed that no woman could remain calm after seeing her husband in bed with another woman.
Just then, Kaden Xavier’s phone rang.
Seraphina Sutton frantically hid her own phone and picked up his, walking out of the room.
It was a call from his assistant.
Staring at the lit-up screen, Seraphina Sutton decisively pressed the answer button.
"Mr. Xavier, Mrs. Xavier’s lawyer just sent over the divorce agreent and the court filing receipt. How should these be handled?" the assistant asked cautiously.
Every ti it involved Mrs. Xavier, Mr. Xavier was prone to anger.
He really didn’t want to be the target of that anger.
"Assistant Lynch."
"Miss... Miss Sutton!" the assistant exclaid in surprise.
’How did Mr. Xavier’s phone end up in Miss Sutton’s hands?’
"Why don’t you bring those things to my place for now. Kaden is in the shower. I’ll have him handle it when he gets out."
"But..."
"Assistant Lynch, Kaden takes this divorce very seriously. If there’s any delay and it affects the company’s stock, he’ll be furious."
The thought of an enraged Kaden Xavier made Assistant Lynch shudder, and he quickly agreed.
Not long after, Assistant Lynch delivered the docunts.
Seraphina Sutton took the divorce agreent and saw that Wren Wynter had already signed it.
Kaden Xavier’s section was still blank.
Her eyes darkened, filled with unspeakable sches.
Seraphina Sutton walked back into the room, holding the divorce agreent.
’Since Kaden Xavier couldn’t make a decision, she would help them along.’
She took Kaden Xavier’s hand, dipped it in an ink pad, and pressed his thumbprint firmly in his section of the docunt.
Afterward, she scheduled a courier to deliver the divorce agreent to Wren Wynter.
"Seraphina, what are you doing?"
Suddenly, Nathaniel Quinn was standing not far away, holding a bag of honey and so daily necessities. A flash of panic crossed Seraphina Sutton’s eyes, but she concealed it well.
She walked over with a sheepish smile. "Oh, nothing. I bought sothing online earlier that I didn’t really like, so I was just returning it."
Nathaniel Quinn didn’t suspect a thing, nodding as he followed Seraphina Sutton back into the apartnt.
"Looks like Cole won’t be waking up tonight. He’s a bit of a neat freak, so I bought him so daily necessities."
"Okay."
"Here’s the honey."
Nathaniel Quinn handed the honey to Seraphina Sutton. "I have sothing else to do, so I’ll be heading out. Seraphina, I’m leaving Cole in your hands tonight. This is a great chance for you two to work on your relationship. I can tell he definitely has feelings for you."
’Feelings my ass!’
Seraphina Sutton cursed inwardly.
’If Kaden Xavier really had feelings for her, he wouldn’t be dragging his feet on divorcing Wren Wynter, and he certainly wouldn’t be calling out Wren’s na in a drunken stupor!’
But she couldn’t let it show. She could only feign shyness, lowering her gaze and clutching her skirt.
"I know, but what about Dr. Wynter..."
The re thought of Wren Wynter filled Nathaniel Quinn with anger and impatience.
He waved his hand dismissively.
"Why worry about her? She can’t help Cole with his work, and she’s just a scheming woman who used tricks to marry him. Don’t worry, Cole will divorce her sooner or later."
Nathaniel Quinn glanced at his watch and waved.
"I’ve got to go. I’m leaving."
After seeing Nathaniel Quinn out, Seraphina Sutton dropped the act.
She closed the door and walked back into the bedroom. Looking at the still-unconscious Kaden Xavier on the bed, her gaze fell on his phone on the nightstand.
She walked over, picked it up, and used Kaden Xavier’s face to unlock the phone. She searched quickly and found Hugh Hale’s number.
Hugh Hale was the Xavier Group’s attorney. She had run into them talking several tis when she went to the company to find Kaden Xavier.
Mimicking Kaden Xavier’s usual concise and cold tone, Seraphina Sutton sent a text to Hugh Hale.
[Hugh Hale, I have signed the divorce agreent. You have full authority to handle the subsequent filing procedures.]
After the ssage sent successfully, she imdiately deleted the sent ssage from the records and placed the phone back where it was.
After doing all this, she looked at the divorce agreent, now bearing Kaden Xavier’s thumbprint, and a triumphant, cold smile touched her lips.
’Wren Wynter, you’ll thank for this.’
「anwhile, at Crystal Nash’s apartnt.」
Wren Wynter was in her room, packing the last of her luggage for her trip to Ostrale.
Clothes, docunts, so common dications, and a notebook were all packed neatly into the suitcase.
For the first ti in days, she felt a rare sense of peace.
"Wren! Co downstairs! You’ve got a delivery!"
Crystal Nash’s voice called from downstairs.
Wren Wynter put down what she was holding and walked downstairs, confused.
She found Crystal Nash standing in the living room, holding a docunt folder with a strange expression on her face.
"What is it?" Wren asked.
"A courier delivered it. Said it was for you."
