After he finished reviewing all the information.

Seraphina Sutton!

The na struck him like a bolt of lightning, shattering all of Kaden Xavier’s doubts.

He slamd his foot on the gas. The car let out a roar as he whipped it around and sped toward the Xavier Group headquarters.

「anwhile, in the Wallace family’s villa.」

The current Tina Wallace—or rather, Seraphina Sutton—stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows, staring at a photo she had just received on her phone. It showed the backs of Kaden Xavier and Wren Wynter as he led her away from the tea party.

The gentle smile on her face had long since vanished, replaced by a twisted mask of jealousy and venom.

"Useless!"

She slamd her phone onto the wool carpet and spun around to curse at Arthur, who was standing behind her. "I asked you to seduce one woman, and you couldn’t even do that. If you can’t handle such a simple task, what good are you to ?"

Arthur was leisurely pouring himself a glass of red wine. Hearing her, he swirled the liquid in his glass, a mocking smile on his face.

"My dear, you can’t bla for this. Didn’t you see what a terrifying lion is guarding your target?"

"I rely tried to touch his property, and he nearly ate alive."

"Excuses!"

Seraphina’s eyes were sinister. "I paid you all that money, and not for you to stand around drinking red wine!"

"Money?"

Arthur scoffed and took a sip of wine. "That little bit of money you paid is only enough to buy my hand-kissing services. Did you really think that plastic surgery face of yours would let you marry into wealth?"

He paced over to Seraphina, looking down at her with eyes full of contempt.

"Don’t think so highly of yourself, and don’t take everyone else for a fool. Your petty tricks might work on those brainless socialites, but fooling Kaden Xavier and Wren Wynter? That’s a pipe dream."

"Take a good look at yourself. Who do you think you are? Do you really think you’re worthy of a man like Kaden Xavier?"

"The way he looks at Wren Wynter... it’s like he wants to fuse her into his very soul. What makes you think you can compete with that?"

Arthur’s words were like sharp knives, twisting precisely into Seraphina’s most painful wounds.

She snapped her head up, her eyes blazing with crazed hatred. "How am I not as good as her? This face... it’s identical to Tina Wallace’s now!"

"I’m the true heiress of the Wallace family! As long as Wren Wynter is dead—as long as she disappears—Kaden Xavier will have to see !"

"Is that so?" Arthur gave a noncommittal smile, turned, and sat down on the sofa. "Well then, I wish you the best of luck."

’He knew this woman had gone insane.’

’And all he had to do was watch the show.’

Seraphina watched his detached deanor, her body trembling with rage.

She took a few deep breaths, forcing herself to calm down.

’Arthur was right. Kaden Xavier and Wren Wynter wouldn’t be easy to deal with. A direct confrontation wouldn’t work, which ant she had to resort to more sinister thods.’

She picked up her phone from the floor and dialed a number.

"Hello? How are things coming along?"

A sleazy male voice ca from the other end of the line. "Don’t you worry, Miss. I’ve got the people. They’re all great actors. I guarantee we’ll give those doctors a big surprise tomorrow!"

"Excellent."

A cold smirk touched Seraphina’s lips. "Rember, you have to blow this thing up. The bigger, the better! I want that bitch Wren Wynter’s reputation utterly destroyed. I want her ruined for life!"

After hanging up, she gazed out at the deepening night, a strange, satisfied smile spreading across her face.

’Wren Wynter, you love playing the saint, saving lives, don’t you? Well, I’m going to let you taste what it’s like when the people you save turn around and bite you.’

The next day, Wren Wynter and her seniors arrived at the hospital as usual, ready to start their workday.

However, as soon as they reached the floor where their project team was located, they realized sothing was wrong.

Their clinic’s entrance was completely mobbed by a group of elderly n and won. The crowd was in an uproar, their furious shouting audible from a great distance.

"Quacks! Give my husband back!"

"It was them! What kind of crap dicine did they prescribe? It killed him! They’re heartless!"

"You have to pay up, or we’re not leaving today!"

Ho-ran Park and Leo Crowe exchanged a look, both seeing the grave expression in the other’s eyes.

"What’s going on?" Ho-ran Park stopped a passing junior nurse.

The young nurse looked troubled. "Dr. Park, these people showed up first thing in the morning. They’re claiming your project team prescribed the wrong dicine and killed soone. They’re causing a huge scene."

The color drained from their faces as they quickened their pace and walked over.

Leif Shaw, having the shortest temper, pushed through the crowd. "What nonsense are you all spouting?" he demanded loudly. "When did we ever treat any of you?"

An old woman in a floral blouse with graying hair saw them and imdiately rushed forward, pointing a finger at Leif Shaw’s face as she cursed him.

"It was you! All of you frauds in your white coats! My old man took the dicine you prescribed, and last night, he was gone!"

"You’re lying!"

Leif Shaw’s face flushed with anger. "Our project team keeps detailed records of all our patients! I’ve never even seen you before, let alone prescribed anything for your husband!"

"And you still dare to deny it!"

The woman plopped down on the floor and began wailing, slapping her thighs. "There’s no justice! They killed soone and won’t even admit it!"

"Everyone, co and see! These are the so-called experts from the big hospital! They treat human life like it’s worthless!"

Her crying and shouting drew an even larger crowd of onlookers, who began pointing and murmuring among themselves about Wren Wynter and her team.

Ho-ran Park quickly grabbed Leif Shaw, who was on the verge of exploding, and said to the old woman in a low voice, "Ma’am, please calm down first."

"You claim we treated your husband and that he died. Do you have any proof? dical records, for example, or a prescription we wrote?"

"Proof? My old man is dead! What more proof do you need?!"

The woman threw a fit. "I don’t care! You have to give an explanation today!"

Just as the scene descended into chaos, Wren Wynter stepped forward from behind the crowd.

"I’m in charge here. Can soone please tell what’s going on?"

Her voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a calm authority that was strangely convincing.

The mont the old woman saw Wren Wynter, a vicious light flared in her eyes. She leaped up from the floor like a pouncing leopard and lunged forward, grabbing Wren Wynter’s arm.

"It was her! This howrecker is the one who prescribed the dicine! I rember it clearly, it was her!"

The woman’s hand was like an iron clamp, gripping Wren Wynter so tightly that her nails dug into her flesh.

"You’re the one who killed my husband! You murderer! Give my husband back!"

She shrieked as she frantically yanked and pulled at Wren Wynter. Caught off guard by the sudden assault, Wren lost her footing and stumbled, falling backward onto the floor.

"Wren!"

Ho-ran Park and Leo Crowe cried out in alarm. They tried to rush forward but were blocked by several other family mbers.
