Chapter 90: Chapter 102: I Don’t Know You Well (3) Chapter 90: Chapter 102: I Don’t Know You Well (3) Ever since last night, when Percy Stanton witnessed Isabel Smith injure her toe but still stubbornly insist on standing, he clearly realized how much this woman did not cherish herself!
And then he thought discontinuously about how Isabel never ate breakfast and even had many trash boxes of instant noodles at ho…
He invited her over for breakfast, but he was afraid she might not co if he asked directly. So now, he went around in such a big circle, just wanting Raymond Thompson to invite Isabel to have breakfast at his ho.
Although Raymond was young, he was very sensible and polite. Hearing Percy’s words, he imdiately rembered that he had never properly expressed his gratitude to Isabel.
Despite Raymond’s previous dissatisfaction with Percy, he wanted more to spend the wonderful weekend with Sister Isabel, so he imdiately nodded at Percy and said, “Yes, I will send Sister Isabel a ssage on WhatsApp right now, inviting her over for a al.”
“No need to go through all that trouble.” Percy wasn’t sure if Isabel was at ho at this ti, so he said, “I saved Sister Isabel’s phone number in my phone. After you’re done cleaning yourself, just give her a call.”
Raymond heard this, nodded like a pecking chick, and then squeezed so more shower gel onto his body.
Percy’s expression instantly turned ugly, “Raymond, you’ve just used shower gel, what are you doing now?”
Raymond ignored his father’s dissatisfaction and continued vigorously rubbing his body, saying, “This way, I’ll be even more fragrant, and Sister Isabel will love even more.”
Percy snorted lightly and didn’t want to talk to his son, so he turned and walked out of the bathroom.
Just as Percy returned to the bedroom, Raymond followed him, wearing a bathrobe and standing in front of Percy, reaching out his hand and saying, “Father, give your phone, I’ll call Sister Isabel right now.”
Percy humd in agreent and walked to the bedside cabinet, picked up his phone, found Isabel’s phone number, pressed the call button, and handed it to Raymond.
Raymond took the phone, pressed it to his ear, held his breath nervously, and listened to the beeping sound on the other end. Then, after the third ring, the beeps turned into Isabel’s pleasant voice, “Hello?”
Raymond’s face turned red instantly, and he beca even more nervous, clutching the phone and gasping heavily, seemingly unable to speak.
Percy looked at his son’s appearance and secretly felt embarrassed!
“Hello, Percy?” Isabel had saved Percy’s phone number.
“No, it’s Raymond.” Raymond held the phone, took a deep breath, and before Isabel could speak, he imdiately and politely said, “Sister Isabel, to thank you for taking to the Hospital that day, I would like to invite you to my ho for breakfast today.”
Isabel hadn’t expected that the phone call from Percy’s phone would be from Raymond. She paused for a mont and then habitually said out of courtesy, “Raymond, thank you, but I won’t go for breakfast.”
“Oh…” Raymond hadn’t expected that Sister Isabel would reject him just like that. He felt extrely disappointed, let out an “oh” and continued sowhat persistently, “Sister Isabel, I really want to express my gratitude.”
From Raymond’s soft childlike voice, Isabel sensed a hint of disappointnt. Her heart involuntarily tightened, and in front of her, she pictured Raymond’s worried and frowning little face. She then blurted out a different response.
