Chapter 55: Chapter 64: Do We Need to Take Responsibility (9) Chapter 55: Chapter 64: Do We Need to Take Responsibility (9) Percy Stanton once again raised his eyebrows at the ntion of “Father Thompson” and remained silent for a mont before pulling a smile and saying, “If Miss Smith doesn’t mind, you can call Percy.”

“Okay, Father Thompson.”

Percy knitted his brows, sowhat speechless.

Standing between the two adults, Raymond Thompson, being quite short, felt sowhat invisible. Noticing that Sister Isabel and his father were ignoring him in their conversation, he interjected sowhat impatiently, “Sister Isabel, you can call Father too, Raymond’s Father.”

Walking out of the elevator, Percy stood in the corridor between the two apartnts and graciously thanked Isabel Smith, “Thank you very much, Miss Smith, for taking care of Raymond.”

“You’re welco, Father Thompson.”

Percy Stanton once again raised his eyebrows at the ntion of “Father Thompson” and remained silent for a mont before pulling a smile and saying, “If Miss Smith doesn’t mind, you can call Percy.”

“Okay, Father Thompson.”

Percy knitted his brows, sowhat speechless.

Raymond, standing between the two adults, felt sowhat ignored due to his short stature. Noticing that Sister Isabel and his father were ignoring him in their conversation, he interjected sowhat impatiently, “Sister Isabel, you can call Father too, Raymond’s Father.”

Percy didn’t particularly mind his son’s blabbering. He just looked at Isabel Smith with a humble smile and said, “Miss Smith, kids don’t know better. Raymond’s words just now caused you so embarrassnt.”

“Not at all, I quite like Raymond.” Isabel Smith hurriedly shook her head with a smile.

“In that case, I’m really grateful, Miss Smith.”

Seeing Percy and Isabel Smith chatting again, Raymond felt that his father was more handso and older than him. Isabel Smith was so pretty, and his father would definitely like her when he saw her. Feeling a sense of crisis, Raymond hurriedly interrupted, “Sister Isabel, you’ve been taking care of for a long ti today. You must be tired. Hurry back ho and rest.”

“Then you should rest early too, Raymond.” Before she left, Isabel Smith bent down, patted Raymond’s head, and said, “Goodbye.”

Raymond’s face turned red, and he nodded gently, replying, “Goodbye, Sister Isabel.”

Isabel Smith straightened up, and before she could turn around, Percy followed her, saying, “Goodbye, Miss Smith.”

“Goodbye.” Isabel Smith nodded and turned to go to her apartnt door, took out her key, and unlocked it.

After Isabel Smith’s door closed, Percy turned around and opened his own door.

Percy bent down, throwing Raymond’s small slippers in front of him before taking off his own shoes, putting on slippers, and picking up the dicine that Isabel had bought for Raymond, heading toward the room.

When Percy placed the dicine on the tea table, Raymond had already changed his slippers. Percy walked towards the kitchen, instructing his son behind him, “Raymond, when you’re sick, go to bed and sleep.”

Percy finished speaking, opened the refrigerator, and took out a bottle of water. As he turned around, he saw Raymond standing in front of him, staring at him with wide eyes and saying, “Daddy, do you like my Sister Isabel?”

The “mine” in Raymond’s words felt superfluous and grating, and Percy knitted his brows, ignoring his son. He walked past Raymond, back to the living room, taking the cap off the water bottle and taking a sip as he walked.

Raymond turned around and followed Percy, still feeling sowhat indignant, and continued, “I know that Sister Isabel is beautiful, kind, and took to the hospital. Everyone who sees her will like her. But, Daddy, I t Sister Isabel first. So Sister Isabel is mine. You can’t steal my Sister Isabel!”
