This was especially true when it ca to Fei Jin.

Once she committed to a person and a relationship, she would never allow anyone else to interfere.

Although she sotis deliberately provoked him, that was a privilege reserved for her alone.

No one else was allowed to treat him that way, not even as a joke.

In the evening, just as they finished dinner, Song Qingya picked up her socks, ready to head out.

Seeing her fully dressed and about to walk out the door, Fei Jin glanced out the window.

"It’s so late. Where are you going?" he couldn’t help but ask.

"Wen Xiuxiu is still out there waiting."

"I’ve already had Xiao Yang organize the matter into a report. The team will send soone to handle it tomorrow, and they’ll take her away then."

After all, Fei Jin was now an official employee.

What he represented was no longer just himself.

This matter, involving discipline and personal conduct, had to be reported truthfully, no matter what.

When Yuan Wei heard about this, she was furious. She imdiately called and started railing against Wen Xiuxiu.

"I knew that girl Wen Xiuxiu was trouble! I warned you last ti when I helped deliver her al. I thought it was all over after Zhou Huaihua kicked her out. I can’t believe she has the nerve to do sothing so shaless!"

Fei Jin listened quietly to Yuan Wei’s tirade.

When Yuan Wei asked him to pass the phone to Song Qingya, he said softly, "Song Qingya is still sleeping. I’m afraid it wouldn’t be good to disturb her right now."

A soft sigh ca from the other end of the line, and Yuan Wei said with a hint of surprise, "My goodness, Song Qingya... With such a huge thing happening, how can she still be asleep?"

Hearing this, Fei Jin’s tone remained gentle.

"Aunt Yuan, you might have misunderstood. Song Qingya was actually a great help this ti."

So, he explained the whole story from beginning to end in detail.

After listening, Yuan Wei was stunned into silence for a good while on the other end of the line.

She mulled it over for a mont before saying softly, "I never would have thought Song Qingya had a few tricks up her sleeve."

At that mont, the worries in her heart vanished.

’It seems I can finally, completely rest easy leaving Fei Jin in Song Qingya’s care.’

Fei Jin then said to her, "Aunt Yuan was praising you. She said that as soon as you wake up, you should go to her place. She has sothing to give you."

As Song Qingya listened to him relay the ssage word for word, a look of realization dawned on her—no wonder she had glanced at her system points just a mont ago and noticed that Yuan Wei’s impression of her had improved significantly.

’So he’d put in a good word for behind my back.’

She couldn’t help but smile, her body leaning forward slightly.

She planted a light kiss on Fei Jin’s cheek, her eyes crinkling with amusent.

"Ajin, tell Aunt Yuan I’ll visit her the day after tomorrow. I won’t disturb her today," she instructed in a low voice.

"Right now, I’m going to find Wen Xiuxiu. There are so things we need to make clear."

Since things had already reached this point and Wen Xiuxiu hadn’t been taken away yet, it ant their conflict wasn’t over, and she didn’t intend to drag it out any longer.

Fei Jin, who had wanted to persuade her not to go, saw that she had already made up her mind and didn’t say anything more.

He turned, took a coat from the rack, and gently draped it over her shoulders.

Then he opened the door and stood outside, waiting quietly for her to co out.

He glanced down at her and slowly extended his hand.

"Let’s go together. I’ll go with you."

’Since his wife was going, how could he possibly stay at ho?’

The gesture made Song Qingya’s heart feel warm and fuzzy.

She placed her hand in his.

The door let out a CREAK.

It was the characteristic sound of an old wooden door.

Song Qingya stepped outside, not noticing Xiao Yang sitting by the door and nearly stepping on him.

Fei Jin reacted in a flash, swiftly pulling her back into his arms.

She ended up falling into Fei Jin’s embrace.

Their bodies were pressed tightly together.

Xiao Yang groggily opened his eyes, jolting from a half-asleep state to full alertness.

"You’re finally up!"

He knew the two of them had a good relationship.

’But their relationship is a little *too* good, isn’t it? They’ve been in their room for a whole day and night.’

Xiao Yang was so envious.

Before, their village chief had been such a cold and ruthless person.

Ever since he got a wife, although he was still strict with his n, he was like a completely different person in front of her.

’Xiao Yang wanted to find a wife, too.’

He hoped to find a girl who could understand him and would be willing to stay by his side.

Just as he was thinking this, Song Qingya saw Xiao Yang standing at the door and imdiately composed herself, quickly moving out of Fei Jin’s arms.

She straightened the wrinkles on her clothes and said softly, "Xiao Yang, why are you waiting here? Weren’t you supposed to be looking after Wen Xiuxiu?"

At the ntion of this, Xiao Yang opened the floodgates.

"You have no idea, ma’am! That Wen Xiuxiu is such a troublemaker! A hotel attendant kindly tried to let her breathe and untied the tape, but the mont they did, she started screaming and yelling, cursing everyone and everything—the attendant, the heavens—and she even threw in so curses for you!"

"What did she say?"

"..."

Xiao Yang couldn’t bring himself to say it.

"Anyway, it was all just vile nonsense, nothing good. I really don’t understand how an unmarried girl can talk so horribly. She also said a lot of things I didn’t understand."

"I’m not surprised."

’If Wen Xiuxiu is actually Wen Wei...’

’Back in the modern world, Wen Wei had been secretly recorded cursing out her assistant, which led to a scandal dubbed "Profanity-gate."’

’During that ti, Wen Wei’s popularity plumted, and she had to hold a press conference where she tearfully apologized and swore never to curse or insult anyone again.’

’But a leopard can’t change its spots.’

’Before long, Wen Wei was recorded cursing at soone on set again, and it beca a trending topic.’

’After this happened a few more tis, her public appeal took a major hit.’

Based on so of this "Wen Xiuxiu’s" actions and verbal tics, Song Qingya had long had her suspicions.

’To think that she and I would transmigrate into the sa script at the sa ti.’

Now, Song Qingya was almost certain that Wen Xiuxiu was, in fact, Wen Wei.

"Xiao Yang, drive Wen Xiuxiu over here. And have the hotel staff stay the night; they can co and testify tomorrow," Fei Jin instructed calmly.

"Alright."

Xiao Yang replied and quickly got to it.

Soon, Xiao Yang brought Wen Xiuxiu over.

Seeing Wen Xiuxiu’s greasy hair and the foul sll wafting from her, Xiao Yang had to pinch a corner of her clothes to drag her over.

But her spirits seed quite high.

When she noticed Xiao Yang’s disgusted expression, she still had the energy to spit at him.

Luckily, Xiao Yang was quick to react and imdiately sidestepped, otherwise he would have gotten a face full of her spit.

"That’s so disgusting—" Xiao Yang’s voice trembled with revulsion.

Xiao Yang was a neat freak and couldn’t understand how a girl could let herself get so filthy.
