Gu Qingchen’s eyes deepened: "You don’t want to wait and go back with you?"

As he spoke, he looked towards Tang Baijin outside the door.

Tang Baijin was drinking with friends, half-drunk and half-crazy, half-foolish and half-mad.

It was clear from Gu Qingchen’s words; her unwillingness to go back with him was related to Tang Baijin!

"I’m surprised that you would wait for !" Bei Ran took the water glass from his hand, took a sip, and of course, she wasn’t planning on doing anything with Tang Baijin; she just wanted to go to Tian Xin’s place to get the DNA report.

Gu Qingchen raised his handso eyebrows, "It seems I, as a husband, need to reflect on myself!"

Bei Ran mimicked his action, raising her brows, "It looks like I’m going to live the true life of Mrs. Gu!"

However, Gu Qingchen kept his deepest thoughts to himself, smiling without a word.

Of course, Bei Ran was also just making a joke.

After all, no one broke through that layer of thin paper; love or not wasn’t absolute.

That night, Bei Ran hosted until the end of the wedding. When she stepped out of the hotel, she saw Gu Qingchen’s car waiting for her.

Bei Ran got into the car and quickly kicked off her high heels, which were so tight her feet were nearly breaking.

"Is this the ever-elegant Mrs. Gu?" Gu Qingchen couldn’t help laughing as he started the car and left the hotel.

Exhausted, Bei Ran leaned back in the seat, "Mrs. Gu gets tired too! Turns out marriages of convenience are so exhausting, oh my... Hosting one case a month is enough for ..."

Gu Qingchen considerately reclined her seat: "Here, take a nap, I’ll wake you when we’re ho!"

"Thank you, husband!" Bei Ran unapologetically enjoyed the perks of this upscale free ride.

As a result, Bei Ran didn’t recall how she got ho nor how she ended up in her bedroom because the next day was her day off, so she slept until the afternoon.

She knew, it must have been Gu Qingchen who moved her, though she wondered how he managed it last night...

A subconscious smile flickered on Bei Ran’s lips, then she suddenly rembered the important matter of the DNA...

So, Bei Ran imdiately went to find her phone to call Tian Xin: "Xinxin, have you got my report?"

"You’re only thinking about the report now?" Tian Xin teased her over the phone, "I’ve finished my shift today. You sound like you’ve just woken up. Did you and Gu Qingchen have a loving and passionate night again?"

"I’m coming over to your place!" Bei Ran was as tired as a pig; she had no energy for romance.

Bei Ran took a taxi to the building where Tian Xin lived; Tian Xin had also just gotten off work and returned.

The two went up the elevator together, then went into Tian Xin’s ho.

Tian Xin, uninterested in housekeeping, had a ssy ho, but since she lived alone, it didn’t really matter.

"Let’s get this straight, you can’t nag about my ho being as ssy as a dog’s kennel like my mother does!" Tian Xin decided to set the terms first.

Bei Ran stood at the doorway, "There’s really no place for to set foot; forget it, just give the report!"

Seeing her disdainful expression, Tian Xin pushed Bei Ran in, "It’s on the table, look for yourself! Here’s a can of beer for you!"

Tian Xin said this as she took two cans of frozen beer from the fridge, one for herself and one for Bei Ran.

Bei Ran looked at the file in the paper bag, suddenly feeling nervous.

"Xinxin, take a look for !" Bei Ran passed the paper bag to her.

Tian Xin looked at her, "Bei Ran, you are still so faint-hearted!"

Bei Ran let her say what she wanted, she was truly nervous, although she had made guesses for a long ti, yet revealing the answer at that mont still made her extrely anxious.

Actually, there are many people in the world who look alike, Father might not be Gu Qingchen.

Tian Xin opened the paper bag, and Bei Ran grabbed the beer can and took a strong sip of the cold beer.

Tian Xin looked at the result on the docunt, and instead, felt relieved as she said, "..."

Before she could speak, Bei Ran imdiately said, "Wait, let take another sip of beer!"

Tian Xin watched her chug another gulp of beer, "Okay, stop drinking, he’s not the children’s father!"

"What did you say?" Suddenly, Bei Ran’s face changed.

How could it be? Bei Xiaoyu said he couldn’t see any resemblance, but what about Bei Dayu?

Her son clearly had similar features!

Tian Xin handed her the report, "Look for yourself! Really not! No need to pressure yourself!"

Then, Bei Ran took it, looked at the DNA result on it, and indeed, it proved that the set of fraternal twins and another sample were not father and son.
