"Mm, I’ll make an effort." Yang Junyi smiled slightly, the only smile he had shown these days.
Tian Xin knew she had always been afraid to face this reality; if Yang Junyi were a bad man, she could have easily walked away without concern, but he was just too good, too kind to refuse.
"Have you had lunch?" Tian Xin asked him, "I’ll go get you so food!"
At that mont, a nurse had already brought hospital food over, "Doctor Yang, it’s ti to eat!"
"Thank you!" Yang Junyi politely thanked the nurse.
The nurse left after setting down the food, and Tian Xin opened the lunch box, which was from the hospital cafeteria.
She took a spoon, scooped up so food, and offered it to Yang Junyi’s mouth: "Have a bit!"
Yang Junyi took the spoon, "I’ll do it myself!"
Tian Xin watched him; though he was not skilled, as a doctor, he had a unique sharpness and managed to accurately locate the lunch box.
"Tian Xin, I don’t want to be a burden to you," Yang Junyi said softly.
Thus, he wanted to learn to do everything by himself.
A wave of sourness washed over Tian Xin’s heart, it felt like sothing was stuck in her throat, rendering her speechless.
Outside the hospital room, An Rong sent a ssage to Tang Baijin, "Do you want to know where Tian Xin is?"
Tang Baijin had recently been designing a new skyscraper in A City, a famous seaside city worldwide. He wanted to design a residential comrcial building, which would be the tallest residential building in A City. Living in such a house, people wouldn’t have to go to the revolving restaurant at the Trade Center or the 100-story landmark buildings; they could enjoy hot pot at ho, by the window, as if they were in the clouds enjoying delicious food.
He naturally trusted Tian Xin; she was a forthright girl who wouldn’t hide where she went from him.
Tang Baijin paid no attention.
An Rong sent another ssage, "She is with Yang Junyi, feeding him!"
This ti, Tang Baijin was unsettled!
He imdiately drove away from the design studio and headed to the hospital.
Tang Baijin went straight to Yang Junyi’s hospital room, and saw Tian Xin helping Yang Junyi lie down. She was saying, "The food in the hospital isn’t tasty, I’ll cook soup for you myself tomorrow!"
"Okay!" Yang Junyi nodded.
At the doorway, Tang Baijin heard this sentence and almost burst in; his woman was actually cooking soup for another man?
Moreover, that man was not just anybody, but indeed her good ex-boyfriend!
Tian Xin felt a shadow at the door, she turned back and saw Tang Baijin standing there furiously, just as he was about to co in, she shook her head at him.
"Junyi, I’ll go back to work first!" said Tian Xin, "You get so rest!"
After speaking, she quickly ran out, then looked at Tang Baijin, puzzled: "Why are you here?"
Tang Baijin sarcastically said, "My woman is making broth for soone else, how can I remain indifferent?"
Tian Xin glared at him: "Junyi is blind, and the hospital food isn’t good, I make so soup for him, why are you jealous?"
"You know I’m jealous?" Tang Baijin suddenly looked at her as if he had discovered an alien, "Tian Xin, you’ve really grown a lot!"
Tian Xin was annoyed by his seemingly complintary yet very sour words, "Tang Baijin, I hate it when you talk like this!"
Tian Xin said and then walked towards the hospital exit.
Tang Baijin quickly followed: "Tian Xin, stop right there, you think you’re in the right now?"
It seed, he had been too indulgent with her!
Tian Xin wouldn’t stop, she continued walking towards the parking lot.
When she opened her car door, Tang Baijin pinned her against the door with one hand. Tian Xin struggled to get into her car, but she couldn’t overco his strength.
"Let go of , I need to get back to work," Tian Xin said glaring at him.
"Tian Xin!" Tang Baijin glared back at her, "Don’t think about going back to work until we’ve cleared things up!"
Tian Xin, seeing his rudeness and dominance, fiercely stepped on his foot with her high heel. Tang Baijin winced from the pain but refused to let her go.
"What do you want to say?" Tian wrinkled her brows in agitation, "What do you want to hear?"
In the hospital parking lot, many people were coming and going. The way the two of them were arguing in front of the car door drew quite a few curious looks.
Tang Baijin sneered, "What? Afraid of getting tangled up with here?"
Tian Xin snorted coldly mimicking him, "What do I have to be afraid of? I’ve done nothing wrong in front of you! I ca to see Junyi, and I did nothing but what is normal and right."
"So, you’re only sneaky when you’re with !" Tang Baijin snapped the second half of his sentence.
Tian Xin looked at him with displeased furrowed brows, "He’s blind now, what do you expect to do? Do I have the heart to say it? Even as just a friend, it’s only natural for to care about him!"
Naturally, Tang Baijin was irritated, "You care for him because he can’t see. Are you going to care for him for the rest of your life? There should be a limit, right?"
"But right now, telling not to care at all, I really can’t do it!" Tian Xin shook her head, "You know what? I never felt I owed you anything; on the contrary, I feel I owe Junyi..."
Before she could finish speaking, Tang Baijin’s kiss landed on her lips!
"You’re crazy!" Tian Xin bit him hard. It was the hospital, and he was being so reckless!
Tang Baijin glared at her, "To love soone is to go mad! And there’s no cure for it!"
Listening to him, Tian Xin’s heart softened. Tang Baijin was not wrong; he loved her, he was jealous!
She also didn’t understand, who was really at fault?
"Can we leave here first?" Tian Xin asked softly.
Tang Baijin pulled her over, "Get on my car!"
Tian Xin got into his car, and he drove away from the hospital, but not in the direction of her workplace.
"Let go back to work first, and we can et after work to talk, okay?" Tian Xin looked at him earnestly.
Perhaps it was her gentle and persuasive words, for Tang Baijin turned the car towards the direction of her security company, but soon, they hit a red light.
The red light was very long, about a hundred seconds. He placed his hand on the steering wheel, then turned to look at her, "Shouldn’t you be comforting ?"
If he still took her back to the security company to work, after loving her that much and still having to endure being hidden by her, shouldn’t she console his wounded heart?
