When Ji Su had almost finished her al, Gu Yucheng finally spoke, "Susu, can you close your eyes, please?"
Ji Su looked at him perplexed, evidently unwilling to comply. "Gu Yucheng, stop playing. If you’re not going to eat, go to the hospital!"
"Susu, be good and listen to just this once, okay?" Gu Yucheng coaxed her.
Ji Su didn’t know what trick he was up to, but she still refused to concede.
"Just pretend it’s because my back hurts, and be a good girl for once, okay?" Left with no other choice, Gu Yucheng pulled this excuse hoping she would close her eyes.
Ji Su’s lips twitched, but in the end, she did not object and obediently closed her eyes.
At that mont, Gu Yucheng pulled a small gift box out of his suit pocket, opened it, and held the Butterfly Crystal Clip in his palm. He rose and walked behind her, looking at her straight, shiny black hair that fell smoothly down her back.
He couldn’t help but wonder about Ji Su’s state of mind back then—cherishing her long hair so deeply, she had cut it off just to buy him a present, out of love for him.
But a young man’s mind is not as delicate as it is with age.
