"I will!" Gu Qingchen said, "Ranran took the kids to fly kites on the mountain today, do you want to go have a look together?"
"Great!" Zhuang Shengxian exclaid happily: "Ready or not, I’ve beco a grandpa!"
"You’re a grandpa to three children." Gu Qingchen stood up and placed the test results on his desk, "Ji Su and Yucheng have a daughter, nad Gu Yaowan."
Zhuang Shengxian took off his doctor’s coat, changed into a suit, then sighed: "I really didn’t expect it, I suddenly had two daughters, and then three more grandchildren, heaven has really treated well! How are Ji Su and Yucheng getting along?"

At this mont, Big Fish shouted, "Little Fish, my kite is flying higher than yours!"
"What’s the use of it being higher?" Little Fish snorted, "Haven’t you heard? n are like kites, won are like the string, and as long as the string is in the woman’s hand, no matter how far the kite wants to fly, it’s still controlled by the string."
Big Fish turned to Bei Ran: "Mom, you don’t have to worry about Little Fish’s job prospects in the future. Even if she’s completely useless, with that mouth of hers, she could still deceive people for food and drink."
"Not scared at all! Dad will give lots and lots of money," Little Fish said proudly.
Bei Ran frowned: "When did dad say that?"
"Dad once said, daughters should be brought up in wealth, sons in frugality," Little Fish cited Gu Qingchen’s words, "And ’brought up in wealth’ ans lots and lots and lots of money..."

"Dad’s here..." Little Fish, with her sharp eyes, saw Gu Qingchen coming up the mountain, she ran over quickly, hurling herself at him and hanging on his body, "Daddy..."
Gu Qingchen picked her up, looking at her play-flushed cheeks and bright, shining eyes, "Having fun?"
"Fun!" Little Fish laughed, "Will daddy join us?"
"Okay, let’s play together." Gu Qingchen, holding her, walked up the mountain.
Zhuang Shengxian watched the affectionate father-daughter duo, realizing he had never had such deep feelings with his own children, he felt an aching sadness.
"Daddy, who is this grandpa?" Little Fish looked at Zhuang Shengxian.

Zhuang Shengxian laughed heartily, "Little Fish is so cute!"
They chatted and had already co over to Bei Ran and Big Fish.
Seeing it was Zhuang Shengxian, Bei Ran cast her gaze down without speaking.
Zhuang Shengxian said, "Ranran, you’re here flying kites with the kids! I just happened to pass by and saw Qingchen coming up, so I ca over to say hello."
"Mm..." Bei Ran only responded with a faint word.
Seeing that Bei Ran did not object, Zhuang Shengxian then said to Big Fish and Little Fish, "How about Grandpa takes you to fly kites?"
Big Fish and Little Fish looked towards Bei Ran, who was still leisurely leaning against the big tree, basking in the winter sun with a touch of contented laziness.
Gu Qingchen walked over to her side and sat down beside her, "It has been a long ti since we basked in the sun during winter, it feels really nice!"
He reached out and embraced her, "When we’re old, we’ll bask in the sun every day, and I will still hold you in my arms."
Bei Ran gave her consent for the children to play with Zhuang Shengxian, who happily took them to fly kites.
Bei Ran leaned into Gu Qingchen’s arms, "Did you bring him here?"

Yet, as she leaned into Gu Qingchen’s arms and watched Big Fish and Little Fish gathered around him, his laughter as warm as the spring breeze, his chubby body slightly clumsy but oh so adorable.
He knew many little gadgets that children of this era had never seen, things that kids played with back in Zhuang Shengxian’s days.
He ca prepared today, even bringing a small spinning top to teach the kids.
"By the way, what caused his body to suddenly turn from a handso young man to a chubby uncle twenty-nine years ago?" Bei Ran was curious, as Zhuo Yufeng said he couldn’t find out.
Gu Qingchen shook his head, gently stroking her hair, "Why don’t you ask him yourself?"
"Can’t be bothered to ask!" Bei Ran’s voice was as lazy as the winter sun.
And so, the two of them bathed in the sunlight, heads touching.
In the distance, there was the cheerful laughter of children.
Just like that, a lifeti passes, growing old slowly under the sun.
"Grandpa..." Big Fish called out.
Little Fish also started calling, "Grandpa, how are you?"
Bei Ran and Gu Qingchen were closing their eyes basking in the sun, but upon hearing the children’s voices, they imdiately opened their eyes and saw Zhuang Shengxian fallen on the ground.
She imdiately rose from Gu Qingchen’s embrace and walked briskly over.
