Gu Qingchen gazed at the vivacious young woman before him, her eyes brimming with a longing for love.

She was very young, even younger than when Bei Ran married him.

Gu Qingchen looked over at Bei Ran standing to the side, in a pristine white dress, quietly standing not too far away.

She was a woman of many facets, capable of being charming in a red dress like a blossoming rose, or elegantly simple in a white dress like a fragrant gardenia.

She could be strikingly gorgeous or gracefully ethereal.

Unexpectedly caught by Gu Qingchen's gaze, Bei Ran still walked over and said to Yang Ting, "Miss Yang, let Doctor Gu first examine Mr. Su's health, and we can talk about the wedding afterward, okay?"

"Yes!" Yang Ting nodded, tears streaming down her face.

Bei Ran took out a tissue and handed it to Yang Ting, then helped her sit down to the side.

A young heart, and a heart in love, beats with extraordinary fervor.

Bei Ran watched Yang Ting cry so utterly heartbrokenly, she reached out and brought the young girl into her embrace, comforting her: "Believe that Doctor Gu will surely have a way."

After examining Su Feng, Gu Qingchen saw him wake up from unconsciousness, Su Feng stared at him and asked laboriously, "Doctor Gu, how much ti do I have?"

"Your cancer cells have begun to spread to your brain, you likely have about one more month," Gu Qingchen said with the professionalism of a doctor, he has always been honest with his patients.

Su Feng's attempt to speak was interrupted by tears, a young life facing a terminal illness, walking towards the end— this is sothing unbearable for anyone.

"I have a favor to ask of you, Doctor Gu..." While speaking, Su Feng was choked with sobs.

Gu Qingchen remained silent, waiting for him to finish his sentence, his eyes as deep as the Aegean Sea but at this mont utterly clear.

"Don't let her..." Su Feng's breathing grew weaker, with reluctancy he felt powerless, he looked at Gu Qingchen pleadingly, "Don't let her... marry !"

After Su Feng uttered these words, he fell back into unconsciousness...

"Take him to the ergency room!" Gu Qingchen's voice echoed, as doctors and nurses rushed toward the ergency room.

Yang Ting ran as well, but was stopped outside the door.

Bei Ran stepped forward, catching the staggering Yang Ting in her arms.

Yang Ting continued to weep in her embrace, and Bei Ran's own nose felt sour; she always pretended to be strong, but how could she not feel sad about a love facing life and death?

Three hours later, the ergency room door opened.

Having heard he was resuscitated, Yang Ting fell to the ground on her knees...

Gu Qingchen walked out of the ergency room, seeing Bei Ran was still there, he paused briefly as he passed by her.

This was sothing unprecedented for Bei Ran!

Her eyes were red as she looked at the man she had been married to for four years.

Her marriage to him was a contract of companionship without love.

In front of the two of them played out the true love of a young couple torn apart, unable to be together day and night; what then had she and he co to realize?

"Can we not get a divorce?" she said.
