Chu Feng, upon hearing Elder An’s words, replied, "Yes, the waters of East River are already muddled, and yet they still seek to stir up trouble."

Elder An said, "The main reason is that there’s a profit to be made. If there were no benefits involved, who would exhaust their efforts to plot and then co to stir up trouble?"

Chu Feng nodded and said, "That’s true. If there were no benefits, they wouldn’t go out of their way."

After a pause, Elder An said, "I heard you fought Zhang Peng?"

Upon hearing Elder An’s words, Chu Feng smiled and said, "Nothing escapes you, Elder."

Elder An said, "East River is vast, yet it’s also very small. So things simply can’t be hidden."

After a pause, Elder An continued, "Don’t you think it was a bit premature to act this way?"

Chu Feng said, "It’s not too early, Elder. This day was bound to co sooner or later, and their tentacles have already reached our side. Since my return, many batches of our experintal equipnt have been intentionally or unintentionally delayed for a long ti before we could pick them up. Moreover, this ti, he ca to us on his own. If he’s smart, he definitely knows whom he’s provoked."

Elder An said, "I’m old, the world is yours. If you young people think it’s right, then it must be."

Chu Feng, smilingly, said, "Grandfather, you are still full of vigor. When I am free, I’ll take you to see my master."

Elder An shook his head and said, "I’m old and I won’t go anywhere anymore. If I am to die, I will die in my own ho. But before I die, I have only one wish: to see Rongrong married."

Chu Feng felt sowhat embarrassed under Elder An’s gaze and said, "Elder, I really can’t control this matter. Look, even the age recorded in my household registration book cannot be changed, nor can the policies of the country be altered—I am still not of marriageable age. However, getting engaged is no problem; if you agree, Elder, I’ll start preparing right away."

Elder An slapped Chu Feng on the back of his head and said, "I thought you were already preparing."

Chu Feng replied, "I’ll start preparing right now."

The three won, having tired of chatting, ca out to join Chu Feng and Elder An for lunch.

During the al, Li Xiaoran and Huang Zixuan behaved very politely and gracefully. They showed none of that ’princess syndro’, making for a very comfortable experience.

While Chu Feng and the others were comfortable, soone else was not.

At that mont, Zhang Peng was in the hospital with his entire head wrapped thickly in bandages.

Not a single bone in Zhang Peng’s face remained intact. Even if he recovered, his face was definitely ruined. Even thinking about reconstruction was impossible.

Outside the intensive care ward, a stern and authoritative man clenched the door handle tightly; due to the force, his knuckles had turned completely white.

He was very angry, extrely angry.

Zhang Peng was his only son, but now his son’s face was destroyed and his life hung in the balance.

"I called you back here to handle things in this manner?" the man coldly asked the bodyguard.

"Boss, the other party had a Yellow Level Expert; we were simply no match." The bodyguard spoke truthfully.

"Are the guns in your hands rely for show? Don’t you know that no matter how skilled in martial arts, one still fears a knife?" Zhang Peng’s father was truly furious.

The bodyguard silently endured Zhang Peng’s father’s wrath, waiting until his boss had vented his anger before he spoke, "Boss, it happened right in front of the university gates; we couldn’t use our guns. Besides, at such close range, we might not have been a match for them."

Zhang Peng’s father demanded, "Have you figured out who was responsible?"

The bodyguard replied, "We found out. The one who did the beating is nad Chu Feng. He is a student at the Managent College of East River University."

Zhang Peng’s father chewed over this piece of information, feeling certain he had heard the na Chu Feng before but forgetting where.

The bodyguard continued, "Aside from being a student, his real identity is likely the chairman of the Fengjing Group."

Upon hearing ’Fengjing Group’, Zhang Peng’s father finally rembered where he had heard the na Chu Feng.

This person was one he had intended to intercept, and now this person had attacked his son.

"I was already going to intercept you, and now you’ve fallen into my hands; I won’t let you get off easily," Zhang Peng’s father murmured, gripping the armrests of his chair.

"Send word down, I want all of Fengjing Group’s ships to stay docked in the port," Zhang Peng’s father instructed his secretary.

"Boss, this is a big move; should we report it higher up?" the secretary tentatively asked.

Zhang Peng’s father whirled around, staring at his secretary’s face and said, "If you want to end up like my son, I can report it up right now."

"I understand, boss; I’m sorry," the secretary, truly frightened, quickly bowed and apologized.

Zhang Peng’s father said, "In the future, just do as you’re told. Never ask about things that aren’t your concern."

After a pause, Zhang Peng’s father’s expression grew colder as he said, "I want Chu Feng to co groveling to , to pay a painful price for what he has done, to experience everything my son has endured, all over again."

After speaking, Zhang Peng’s father instructed the bodyguard, "Go and prepare; find two skilled fighters. I want him to suffer ten tis the pain my son endured when he arrives."

The bodyguard nodded and then set off to give orders and prepare.

After having lunch with the three won, Chu Feng, having no classes in the afternoon, continued to play two gas of chess with Elder An.

The three girls, anwhile, were chattering away in the house, clicking instantly as if they were old friends.

"Ding-a-ling!"

Chu Feng’s phone suddenly rang. He glanced at it and imdiately answered.

"Chu Feng, all of our cargo has been detained at the port. They suspect our cargo contains prohibited items and require an inspection. It could take anywhere from five days to a month or two," Cui Jingyan said worriedly.

After hearing Cui Jingyan’s words, Chu Feng said, "They’re quite fast. If they wish to seal it off, let them do so. Let all the cargo co in through Sky Port. Find the Gang Leader of Sky Port."

Upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, Cui Jingyan replied worriedly, "That might not work. The East River Cao Gang and the Sky have essentially the sa managent. Seeking help there might end with the sa outco."

Chu Feng replied, "Just help schedule a eting. Regarding how to negotiate, I have a plan of my own."
