As expected, upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, the female secretary chose to stay; she was one of your people. This was apparent from the timing of her choice to flee.
She no longer struggled, nor did she make any more fearless resistance. Because she had realized that Chu Feng was a true master. Even several of herself combined would not be a match for Chu Feng.
The female secretary walked to the opposite side of Chu Feng, stood under the light, and said coldly to Chu Feng, "Why didn’t you capture and deliver to He Sheng? Doing so would have gotten you more."
Chu Feng smiled and said, "Because I don’t lack money, so I didn’t need to do that."
The female secretary sneered with contempt and looked disdainfully at Chu Feng, "You don’t lack money? You’d work for He Sheng?"
Chu Feng, unable to help it, shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don’t think I’m selling my life, and I really don’t lack money."
Before the female secretary could speak, Chu Feng was the first to say, "Okay, my turn to ask, why are you unhard?"
Chu Feng had watched as He Sheng’s n took her away. Yet she was still unhard, even the stockings she was wearing were not snagged, which didn’t make sense.
The female secretary said, "Because I told the truth. I didn’t hide anything from the person interrogating , I told them my purpose, and everything that happened."
When Chu Feng heard this reply, his expression faltered for a mont and he said, "Aren’t you supposed to cling to your position, refuse to speak even if it ans death?"
The female secretary seed to disdain all of Chu Feng’s words, regardless of what he said, she always had a look of contempt.
"Why should I hide anything? My goal is to have He Sheng dead. If He Sheng can’t die, why should I put myself through pain and suffering? That would be unwise. Better to say everything, save my strength, and look for a chance to escape."
After listening to the female secretary, Chu Feng nodded and said, "Your line of reasoning is quite novel. However, for your theory to hold up, you must not have any weaknesses, and you must also not have any family mbers, otherwise your theory simply wouldn’t stand."
The female secretary’s brow furrowed at the ntion of family, her expression darkened, and she said self-mockingly, "Family? I’ve long forgotten what that feels like. The only family I had died at He Sheng’s hands, so I want him dead, even if it ans dying with him. Isn’t that what you wanted to know? Now I’ve told you, so give a swift end, and then you can take my body and claim your reward from He Sheng."
Chu Feng did indeed want to hear these things, but not to claim any rewards. He Sheng was his business partner, and for the ti being, he seed like a reliable partner. However, Chu Feng couldn’t fully trust him, so seeing this female secretary again, Chu Feng believed.
There was definitely sothing between her and He Sheng that he didn’t know about. That was what Chu Feng wanted to find out, to see if this partner was truly trustworthy.
"Why haven’t you made your move yet? Do you still want to humiliate ? Well, go ahead if you want, I won’t resist," said the female secretary, and after that, she completely gave up all resistance.
Chu Feng shook his head at the female secretary and said, "Believe it or not, my relationship with He Sheng is only about cooperation. Not handing you over to He Sheng is because I want to understand, just who my partner really is?"
After hearing Chu Feng’s words, the female secretary scoffed, "A business partner? You actually partnered with that kind of person? I would advise you to stay away from him as soon as possible. He is a despicable bridge burner. My brother was also in a partnership with him, but after my brother lost a gambling match, He Sheng had him killed. He forgot how many matches my brother had won for him. Such a despicable person still has partners? I’m amazed."
After hearing the female secretary’s words, Chu Feng furrowed his brows and said, "Are you seeking revenge for your brother?"
The female secretary nodded, "Yes."

The female secretary said, "I can."
Then, the female secretary unfolded the story of her brother to Chu Feng.
According to her, her brother was once a gambling expert under He Sheng, helping him win countless assets. However, in an important gambling match, her brother lost, and afterward, He Sheng, in a fit of rage, had him killed.
She had been biding her ti these years, looking for an opportunity. An opportunity to get close to He Sheng, to kill He Sheng.
Finally, she seized the opportunity, having made all preparations. If He Sheng hadn’t chosen her within the company, she would have found all sorts of ways to remove the chosen one, eventually forcing He Sheng to pick her.
But she was lucky, He Sheng chose her, and at first glance, He Sheng was impressed with her. This made her think her revenge was within reach, only she didn’t expect to encounter Chu Feng. This shattered all her hopes.
After listening to the female secretary, Chu Feng’s frown deepened. From his interactions, He Sheng was not the person she described. But if He Sheng was really like what she described, then He Sheng was too terrifying; he had fooled both himself and Dragon Soul.
"Is everything you said sothing you saw with your own eyes?" asked Chu Feng.
The female secretary scoffed, "Do I need to see it with my own eyes?"
Chu Feng, upon hearing her words, relaxed his brow significantly and said, "Seeing is believing. You haven’t seen it for yourself, yet based on hearsay, you’ve made up your mind. Don’t you think it’s too trusting to just believe the person who told you these things? Couldn’t he be deceiving you?"
The female secretary was very determined and said, "He definitely would not deceive , anyone else maybe, but certainly not him."
Chu Feng’s brow loosened a bit more as he heard this, "The person who is really likely to deceive you is often the one you would least expect."
After speaking, Chu Feng stood up and said, "Co with , I’ll give you a chance to confront him face to face."
The female secretary said mockingly, "So you’ve chosen to offer as a bounty."
Chu Feng said, "You’re thinking too much; I would not stoop so low as to offer you as a bounty. You don’t have much choice now, follow , and you might just learn the truth. If He Sheng is really as you say, you won’t need to lift a finger; I’ll handle him."
The female secretary looked at Chu Feng for a full ten seconds and finally chose to follow Chu Feng’s words.
