Chu Feng appeared on the stage so suddenly that no one noticed him.
However, the wire suddenly snapped as Fang Ting scread, drawing everyone’s attention.
Falling from a height of over five ters, she would likely be seriously injured or even disabled, if not killed.
While everyone was at a loss and stunned, Chu Feng, who was already underneath, had been prepared for this mont.
Snap!
Chu Feng caught Fang Ting around the waist and then spun several tis, dissipating the force impacting her body.
Chu Feng did this not because he couldn’t withstand the impact of the fall, but because he was worried that the shock would injure Fang Ting.
After all, Fang Ting didn’t have his skills, and such a force could easily cause her internal injuries.
After Chu Feng had spun around several tis while holding Fang Ting, the others finally snapped out of their shock and rushed over.
"First, let Xiaoxiao co down as well," Chu Feng said calmly.
Upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, so people hurriedly lowered Fan Xiaoxiao, who was still hanging in midair.
"Sister Tingting, are you okay?" Fan Xiaoxiao asked worriedly as she approached the shaken Fang Ting.
Fang Ting shook her head and said, "I’m fine."
"Seal off the area, and don’t let anyone in or out. Go find the wire technician and have him thoroughly investigate the matter," Cui Jingyan ordered thodically, calming down upon seeing that Fang Ting was unhard.
Little Black was in charge of security and, hearing Cui Jingyan’s command, imdiately directed his n to take action.
Most of Little Black’s security personnel were ex-military, and with training similar to special forces, they quickly controlled all entrances and personnel.
"Xiaoxiao, you and Fang Ting go rest for a while," Chu Feng said, looking at the still distraught and pale-faced Fang Ting.
"Okay!" Fan Xiaoxiao nodded and then took Fang Ting to rest.
"Boss, was it my fault?" Mia asked in a low, ashad voice as she looked at Chu Feng’s stern expression.
Chu Feng looked at Mia and said, "This has nothing to do with you."
After a pause, Chu Feng looked towards Cui Jingyan coming back and asked, "What did the wire technician say?"
Cui Jingyan’s expression was grim as she replied, "The wire technician said soone had tampered with the wire."
"Who did it?" Chu Feng’s expression darkened.
If he hadn’t happened to co by today, a tragedy might have already occurred.
Even if his Cultivation hadn’t just broken through, he might not have been able to save Fang Ting in ti.
This had touched Chu Feng’s bottom line; this was no longer re competition, it was attempted murder.
Cui Jingyan said, "We still don’t know, but it probably wasn’t our people. Our people were closely monitored by Little Black’s team through every process, so it must have been done by outsiders, especially since today was the last day of rehearsal and we had arranged for so dia to co for interviews this morning. There were a lot of people coming in, and it was quite chaotic."
Pausing for a mont, Cui Jingyan continued, "Moreover, Master Wire said the sabotage was extrely sophisticated. It was impossible to tell just by looking at the exterior, and even he doesn’t know how they did it. Besides, according to Master Wire’s guess, if we had followed our original plan and lifted only three ters, the wire would have frayed but not snapped so cleanly."
Chu Feng frowned and asked, "What do you an?"
Cui Jingyan explained, "Our original design was to lift Fan Xiaoxiao and Fang Ting to a height of three ters. However, Fan Xiaoxiao and Fang Ting felt that it wasn’t enough and insisted on going up to five ters. This was our first rehearsal lifting to five ters."
Chu Feng said, "So you’re saying, this wasn’t really an attempt at murder but more like a warning?"
Cui Jingyan nodded and replied, "Yes, it seems so."
A chill appeared on Chu Feng’s face as he said, "Murder or warning, what they have done has crossed my line. I need concrete evidence to find out who is behind this."
Cui Jingyan said, sowhat troubled, "It might be difficult, but I’ll try my best."
"The boss has found that on the stage and in the audience seating, there were three safety hazards. These hazards are all man-made. But if you’re not paying attention, you wouldn’t notice them at all," Little Black reported solemnly as he approached Chu Feng.
After knowing that it was a warning, Cui Jingyan had imdiately instructed Little Black to arrange a thorough inspection of the seating and the stage, and indeed, this inspection uncovered a few things.
"What kind of harm could these three hazards cause?" Chu Feng inquired.
Little Black answered, "None of them are lethal. But all of them would definitely cause a disruption, ruining the entire concert. Especially the one in the audience seating, where there is a row of chairs with cracks. If they were to collapse, it might not be lethal, but if it causes a riot, the consequences would be unpredictable."
After hearing Little Black’s words, Chu Feng’s face seed to congeal into frost.
Such minor sabotage was indeed very despicable. If they hadn’t been careful, they might really have overlooked these issues.
Moreover, even if Fan Xiaoxiao and Fang Ting had not decided suddenly to increase the height to five ters today,
the tear in the wire might have been dismissed as a normal safety incident and wouldn’t have been taken seriously; then, no one would notice the problems with the seating and the stage.
And if these issues were to erupt during tomorrow’s performance, it would then be very difficult to rectify.
"We probably already know who did it without having to investigate," Cui Jingyan stated.
Indeed, there was no need to look further now, it was obviously the work of a competitor. Currently in East River, the only competitors to Chu Feng are from Elite Society.
"Elite Society, very well!" Chu Feng’s face was frosty.
Though these underhanded actions seed nonlethal, should they occur, the outcos could be unpredictable.
"What should we do now, Chu Feng?" During this critical mont, Cui Jingyan still needed Chu Feng to make the decision.
Chu Feng declared, "First, we eliminate all these hazards, I’ll handle the rest."
Cui Jingyan asked, "You’re not planning to cause trouble on their side, are you?"
Chu Feng shook his head and replied, "I won’t. Because their fans are also Huaxia people, our compatriots. I think they’re so reckless because they know I would hesitate to retaliate in such a way."
Pausing for a mont, a cold light flashed in Chu Feng’s eyes as he said, "Sister Yan, what’s crucial now is resolving all the hazards and ensuring tomorrow’s concert goes smoothly. At the sa ti, we need to find concrete evidence that they can’t refute."
