Qin Siling was exhausted at this mont, her voice very soft: "What is it?"

Chu Huan stared at her, speaking only after a while: "I’ve discussed with my parents, from now on, it’s better for you to take care of Little An."

She leaned against a chair, speaking gently: "I’m not a nanny for your Chu Family. If you want to take care of Little An, sure, give Little An to ."

The veins on Chu Huan’s forehead popped out, looking sowhat furious: "Qin Siling, let tell you, we are compromising only for Little An’s sake. Otherwise, do you think the Chu Family would accept you?"

He sneered coldly: "Don’t think that I don’t know about the things you’ve been doing. You’re no virtuous woman. To be frank, during our marriage, you weren’t faithful either."

Qin Siling laughed coldly: "Oh really? Facing a man who indulges in debauchery every day, what virtue should I maintain? Chu Huan, tell , does being virtuous an soone will give a chastity arch?"

Chu Huan paused: "Isn’t it normal for a man to entertain himself outside? But it’s different for a woman. You’re a young mistress at ho, lacking nothing as I support you, yet you dare to cuckold , of course, I can’t tolerate that."

"Can’t tolerate it, yet here we are." Qin Siling said coldly: "We’ve divorced, there’s no possibility of remarrying."

At this ti, Chu Huan was scheming, knowing that Qin Siyuan’s business was now outshining the Chu Family’s, and he wanted to benefit from this big pie. He thought that by coaxing Qin Siling back, future benefits would co, but being accustod to superiority, he couldn’t easily humble himself, so he was focusing on using Little An as leverage.

Qin Siling wasn’t a fool, she naturally saw through his intentions, and she certainly wouldn’t sacrifice herself, Siyuan, or even Little An.

All she wanted now was for Little An to recover, and then she’d find a way to fight for custody.

Her refusal left Chu Huan quite displeased, his voice indifferent: "Are you too selfish, enjoying yourself while neglecting your son? Qin Siling, do you have another man outside?"

Qin Siling ignored him. Her exhaustion and poor condition made her look deathly pale.

Seeing no one around, Chu Huan refused to miss the opportunity, grabbing her hand and gritting his teeth: "Today, no matter what, you must give an explanation."

"Explain what?" The door pushed open, revealing Gu Mingzhu standing there, still in surgical clothes, removing her mask at the mont.

Seeing her, Qin Siling imdiately approached: "How is Little An?"

Gu Mingzhu’s gaze fell on her face, speaking softly: "The surgery was very successful."

Qin Siling breathed a sigh of relief, smiling weakly: "Thank you, Mingzhu."

She didn’t say much more, after all, today was Siyuan and Mingzhu’s big day. She looked up: "You can tell Siyuan and Mingzhu, let them return to Qingcheng early."

She felt quite guilty as Siyuan had only her as a relative, yet on such an important day, she couldn’t be present.

Gu Mingzhu gave a nod: "I’ll tell them soon, to give them peace of mind."

After speaking, she turned to leave, while Chu Huan kept pressing Qin Siling about remarrying, under the guise of it being for the children’s sake. At this mont, Director Hao also ca out, visibly surprised: "The surgery was successful, but have you two decided who will take care of the child?"

The atmosphere suddenly beca tense.

Qin Siling almost forgot to breathe, lowering her voice: "What do you an?"

Director Hao hesitated before speaking the truth: "The surgery was indeed successful, but there is a 90% chance of cerebral palsy later."

The news hit like a bolt from the blue, nearly knocking Qin Siling off her feet. Gu Mingzhu caught her, her voice low: "I’m sorry, Sister Siling, Uncle and I tried our best. Life can be saved, but the delay was too long."

Qin Siling’s voice was raspy: "It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have left Little An here."

She closed her eyes, tears streaming down. Despite her previous mischief, she was helpless as a mother now. And Chu Huan was stunned, only finding his voice after a long pause: "Is the child really disabled?"

Gu Mingzhu was sowhat upset: "How can you call this disabled? You’re Little An’s father, talking like this about your child?"

Chu Huan looked at Director Hao again: "Is there really no hope for this child?"

Before Director Hao could speak, he mumbled: "The Chu Family still needs an heir, what do we do?"

Gu Mingzhu, unable to bear it, snapped: "Does your Chu Family have a throne to inherit? Isn’t the child the most important right now?"

She was beginning to doubt Qin Siling’s judgnt, wondering why she chose such a man at the beginning.

Her question displeased Chu Huan: "That’s our family matter."

He then looked at Qin Siling, speaking rather rcilessly: "If you don’t want to remarry, that’s fine. If you want Little An, I’ll discuss it with the family."

After speaking, he walked out.

Gu Mingzhu glanced at the door, then kicked it: "Is this it?"

Qin Siling was sowhat collapsing: "Mingzhu, I want so peace."

Gu Mingzhu patted her shoulder, comforting her: "There’s still 10%."

Tears rolled down Qin Siling’s cheeks, she shook her head: "I know it’s difficult."

She thanked Director Hao and Gu Mingzhu, requesting them not to tell Qin Siyuan and Gu Mingzhu about the situation, today was supposed to be their big day.

Gu Mingzhu and Director Hao exchanged a glance.

During their conversation, mbers of the Chu Family arrived. It was Chu Huan’s mother, Qin Siling’s forr mother-in-law, a sharp and difficult woman to deal with, which often led Qin Siling to return to her own family in the past.

The old Madam Chu entered, looking at Qin Siling with eyes devoid of warmth, as her grandson seed destined to have a bleak future, making investing more feelings and money unnecessary. Since Qin Siling wanted the child, they would let her have him.

By then, Gu Mingzhu witnessed the old Madam Chu taking advantage by giving the child away, yet still asking Qin Siling for money, setting the price at ten million.

Yet, at that mont, Qin Siling instantly agreed, but Gu Mingzhu intervened.

Unhappy, the old Madam Chu comnted: "This is our family matter, not yours to interfere."

She held disdain for Gu Mingzhu, viewing her as a small child never able to stir up North City, fearing nothing as the Chu Family could never be easily manipulated, though she was indeed the family’s head, just couldn’t handle private matters.

Gu Mingzhu chuckled: "I shouldn’t interfere, but I do have a suggestion for Sister Siling: let Sister Siling give up the child, and the Chu Family gives her ten million, isn’t that better?"

Initially, Qin Siling wanted to refute, but after considering, she refrained, gazing at Gu Mingzhu.
