Chapter 24: Chapter 24 Doctor Bo, I Need Your Help

The food appeared to have been ordered directly from a hotel. It looked quite refreshing. Gu Anxi didn’t eat much and quickly finished her al in silence.

But she didn’t leave. Instead, she went to a nearby couch and sat down, picking up a book to read.

Feng Mian looked at Bo Xichen and gestured with his chin.

Bo Xichen glanced at him. Once Feng Mian finished eating, he automatically disappeared, even tidying up the dining table ticulously.

Bo Xichen walked over to Gu Anxi, his tall figure enveloping her in its shadow. "Why didn’t you go back to accompany Granny Chen?"

Gu Anxi’s fingers rested on the book cover. She pursed her lips slightly. "Professor Bo, I need your help."

Bo Xichen had already guessed it. He spoke softly, "Is it about Mr. Gu? I’ve seen his dical records..."

He didn’t continue, but Gu Anxi understood. She quietly said, "Thank you," then stood up and left.

Her white dress appeared exceptionally stark and pristine under the lights. The air around her felt cold, devoid of warmth or vitality.

Bo Xichen had read her file. He wondered what she could have experienced to beco like this. The file said Gu Anxi used to be a ’little sweetheart.’

Now, those words—’little sweetheart’—had absolutely nothing to do with Gu Anxi.

Bo Xichen called after her, "Gu Anxi."

She stopped and turned around. "Dr. Bo, is there anything else?"

Bo Xichen slowly walked over, stopping in front of her at the entrance. He stood quite close, sowhat looking down at her.

He was exceedingly handso, possessing a gentle, jade-like refinent, yet his aura was so imposing that Gu Anxi unconsciously took a step back.

He murmured, "After the car accident... what happened?"

"Nothing," Gu Anxi said, lowering her gaze, her voice faint. "I should go. Thank you for the al, Dr. Bo."

Bo Xichen said nothing, rely watching as she walked in the direction of Gu Yuntian’s room.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

Feng Mian, having reappeared from who knows where, remarked, "What an emotionless machine."

Bo Xichen glanced at him. Feng Mian was all smiles as he added, "But she really is beautiful!"

The night was quiet, but the Qin family was anything but peaceful.

The three n of the Qin family had gone to the company. Even after working through the night, they hadn’t solved the problem.

Everyone at Qin Corporation was on edge. The system, sabotaged by a mysterious hacker, couldn’t be repaired, leaving the entire company completely exposed.

If their confidential data was stolen, at best, it would be a costly disaster to mitigate; at worst, a rival could drive them into bankruptcy.

Qin Han was frantic. He had smoked two packs of cigarettes overnight, and his eyes were bloodshot. Qin Siyuan was in a similar state.

Old Master Qin had been so furious he nearly required hospitalization. He only cald down when Qin Han offered to take him ho, after which he rested briefly on a nearby sofa.

At eight in the morning, Shen Wanqing called. "Siyuan, how are things at the company?"

Qin Siyuan rubbed his temples. "It’s not resolved yet."

He was in no mood to chat with her at that mont, so he quickly ended the call.

However, half an hour later, Shen Wanqing arrived with over ten breakfast sets, thoughtfully distributing them to everyone.

Although the company was in disarray, Old Master Qin felt a asure of gratification. Now this is what a capable and supportive wife looks like. Not like Qin Han’s second wife, who’s probably still enjoying her beauty sleep or dressing up to go play mahjong.

Old Master Qin genuinely praised Shen Wanqing several tis. She remained demurely by the side, careful not to disturb them.

Qin Siyuan also ate a breakfast set before returning to deal with the security breach.
