Chapter 573: Mountain

’One down, five to go,’ Asher thought to himself. The mont that thought slipped into his mind, Number Three’s corpse suddenly bloated grotesquely, the body swelling unnaturally as if sothing inside it was violently expanding. Then, in the next instant, another titanic explosion erupted, swallowing Asher whole as it slamd into him at point-blank range.

Debris and stones tore backward with violent force like bullets, scattering across the battlefield. Smoke and dust surged outward, rapidly covering the battlefield in a dense, choking haze. Within the hazing and swirling smoke and dust storm stood Asher. He hadn’t bothered to move at all, his figure calm and unmoved amidst the chaos. Instead, he simply phased through the explosion entirely, his body intangible as the devastating blast passed harmlessly through him.

He had already anticipated this outco, as he knew this was Number One’s usual thod of attack.

Asher hadn’t forgotten about the remaining three enemies who were still in hiding sowhere within the battlefield. However, he was confident that with the death of Number Three, at least one of them would eventually make a move. Until that happened, he would simply focus on eliminating Number One and Number Two first.

With that thought settled, like a missile, he shot forward from the smoke and dust, launching himself toward Number One, who was standing only a few ters ahead.

Number One didn’t dare hesitate. The mont Asher got close enough to threaten him, he activated another ability.

Blood Clone

An enormous amount of blood suddenly erupted across the battlefield like a red tsunami, appearing as though Number One had sohow transford his Astra energy directly into blood itself. The next instant, the raging crimson tide twisted and reshaped violently. Within a heartbeat, the blood tsunami transford into thousands of humanoid figures.

Every single one of them looked exactly like Number One. Not tens. Not hundreds..But thousands.

Without missing a single beat, the countless clones roared in unison and rushed toward Asher like a swarm of ants converging upon sugar. The ground trembled beneath their combined charge as they surged forward in overwhelming numbers.

Asher’s eyes calmly scanned through all of them. He didn’t panic. His expression remained apathetic, his purple eyes cold and analytical. Although he was slightly surprised by the sheer number of clones produced, it ultimately ant nothing to him. None of them possessed Number One’s Swiftstar Life Rank strength. If they had, then the situation might have been far more troubleso.

His knees dipped forward slightly, his muscles coiling tightly like compressed springs. Then, like a rocket, he launched himself directly into their numbers. His body beca a streak of pure purple light as he tore through the battlefield.

Within the span of re seconds, over a hundred heads were already flying through the air. Asher vanished in a blur of purple motion, his rapier carving through each and every blood clone as though they were nothing more than fragile sheets of paper. He aid nowhere else but their necks, his blade flashing with terrifying precision. Heads soared into the air every single ti he appeared before one of them.

Blood sprayed across the battlefield as clone after clone collapsed into lifeless puddles.

Asher’s figure suddenly appeared in the middle of the remaining blood clones, which still numbered in the thousands despite the hundreds he had already eliminated. Raising one leg slowly, Light affinity flickered beneath the sole of his boot. Radiant energy gathered quietly beneath him.

Then, with brutal force, he stomped down. For a split second, ti itself seed to halt, then it snapped violently back into place.

From his boot, acting as the epicenter, a massive transparent do of light instantly expanded outward with overwhelming power. The do swelled outward with terrifying speed, growing larger and larger before violently bursting outward with cataclysmic force and crushing weight.

The expanding do slamd into every blood clone surrounding him with monstrous point-blank impact. Within an instant, the thousands of blood clones were obliterated entirely, their bodies collapsing and dissolving into nothing more than a massive river of blood flooding the battlefield.

Asher’s eyes snapped toward the last figure who appeared to be the real Number One. In less than a blink of an eye, Asher was already standing before him. His rapier thrust forward rcilessly toward Number One’s forehead, and with unsettling effortlessness, Virelass tore straight into Number One’s skull.

Number One’s body imdiately went limp as he died on the spot. However, before Asher could even move, another Number One suddenly burst upward from the massive pool of blood beneath them, his sabre flashing toward Asher’s neck in a deadly arc.

Like scissors through silk, Asher’s head soared cleanly into the air. But before Number One could even rejoice in victory, his own head suddenly disconnected from his shoulders with ridiculous speed, falling to the pool of blood with a wet horrifying splash.

Yet the next mont, Number One’s body burst apart into a pile of blood... it had only been a blood clone.

Asher stood silently nearby as he sighed softly and shook his head. The Number One that had first been killed had been a blood clone. The Asher that Number One had just killed had been a photon clone. And now the real Asher had killed Number One once again, yet it had still ended up being another blood clone.

Asher’s purple eyes slowly shifted toward the massive pool of blood below, which had been created from the destruction of the thousands of blood clones.

He didn’t even need to think to realize the truth, the real Number One was hiding sowhere within that pool. Instead of attempting to sense him, Asher simply changed his approach. This ti, his Star Energy surged through his body, imdiately, a blinding, incandescent eruption of purple lightning burst violently from beneath Asher’s feet, surging downward and swallowing the entire blood pool in a storm of crackling lightning.

Blood was no different from water, it could conduct lightning perfectly. Since Number One had decided to hide there, Asher simply decided to kill him within the blood pool itself. The next mont, a horrifying scream tore from Number One’s throat as his hidden body was instantly overwheld by countless bolts of lightning forged from Star Energy.

The lightning ravaged his body relentlessly, then the scream abruptly stopped. Number One died within the pool of blood of his own making. The nauseating sll of burned and cooked flesh drifted into the air as Number One’s charred corpse slowly floated to the surface of the crimson pool.

Before Asher could even look away from the charred body, he suddenly felt space itself fluctuate violently around him. A massive shadow swallowed his surroundings.

Asher’s head snapped upward instantly, above him, a colossal mountain was now hanging in the sky, barely five feet away from crushing his head..Asher didn’t even need to guess what had happened, he already knew this was Number Two’s doing.

But teleporting an entire mountain? The man was simply built differently.

Despite the absurdity of the situation, Asher remained completely unbothered. His hand instantly blurred toward Virelass. In one fluid motion, he unsheathed the rapier and slashed outward casually with imnse strength.

There was no wind distortion. No visible shockwave. But the very next mont, the mountain above him split perfectly in half along an invisible sword line. Then the massive halves shattered apart into countless boulders and stones that collapsed downward directly toward Asher.

But during that split second when Asher had drawn Virelass and perford his slash, Number Two had already teleported behind him, a short sword appeared within Number Two’s hand as he cleaved toward Asher’s neck with lethal intent, but before the attack could even connect, Number Two’s head slowly slid off his own neck, it fell to the ground with a muted, gut-wrenching thud that echoed through the silent forest.

Monts later, the shattered mountain fragnts crashed down upon the corpses of Number One, Two, and Three with a thunderous explosion of dust and debris. By the ti the rubble crashed, Asher had already vanished from his position in a silent blip.
