Chapter 483: Sword Light
Asher’s training continued as he decided to forget about the system and its words of encouragent altogether. His mind was now wholly focused on the attacks the clone sent towards him, every ounce of attention sharpened to a razor’s edge, but although he had chosen to forget about the system’s words, their effect was definitely showing, as Asher’s training speed seed to beco even more ridiculous, as though he was unconsciously tapping into so hidden reserve of potential buried deep within him.
At this mont, the clone shot ten light swords towards him with far greater speed than before, each blade streaking through the air like condensed beams of dawn. Asher simply shifted all of them to the side in various directions with casual precision, each attack dodging him as though he were a plague they instinctively avoided, their trajectories bending unnaturally away from his body without him even taking a single step.
’Done with the basic training, let’s try heavier attacks,’ he thought to himself, the clone imdiately obeying his command without delay. This ti, two Light swords appeared again, but they were bigger and heavier, their forms denser and brighter as the clone had clearly poured more effort and Astra into these two attacks, the air around them trembling faintly from the added force.
Without the slightest bit of hesitation, the clone fired off both attacks, both tearing towards Asher with greater speed and force. Without missing a beat, Asher imdiately took control of the space around the incoming attacks, he could feel the weight and pressure that tried to defy his control, like an opposing will resisting his authority, but it was nothing overwhelming, and he pushed them to the side with only a little extra effort, his expression never once changing.
The Light swords detonated the mont they kissed the floor below him, a heavy rumble echoing in his ears as dust and fragnted light scattered outward, but Asher remained completely unbothered, obviously the Star Academy had taken precautions for the fact that students would inevitably destroy the training chambers by mistake, reinforcing every surface to withstand repeated impacts.
’Make seven this ti around,’ Asher commanded the clone. There was no need to take it easy, he was here to push himself beyond his limits, not to coddle his comfort. With the command given, the clone went into action, it created the sa attacks as before, but instead of two, they were seven this ti, each blade hovering in the air with a faint hum of compressed light.
With that, seven attacks tore towards Asher at once, their combined presence distorting the air around them. He snapped into his focused state yet again, his brows slightly furrowed as he felt the heaviness of space for the first ti since the training session began, the pressure stacking together like overlapping weights. With great effort, he directed six to the side, but one slipped past his control, his concentration faltering for just a fraction of a second, and the attack tore into his chest with lethal intent.
The mont the attack touched his chest, the Light sword cracked like fragile glass, then exploded outward, engulfing Asher in a burst of light and force. The clone didn’t react, it simply stood where it was, watching silently as though waiting to continue, emotionless and chanical.
Through the haze of the smoke, Asher’s figure appeared, his body as perfect and pristine as ever, the attack having simply been too weak to even injure him, which was why he had basically never bothered to dodge it to begin with. The sword was too fragile to tear through his ridiculous physique, so it cracked upon impact and exploded outward instead, as though reality itself rejected the idea of harming him.
Although he survived, his shirt hadn’t, after all, it was rely a piece of clothing. But Asher cared not for any of that, it was just cloth, easily replaceable, and he had plenty more stored inside his space ring and system inventory.
One of his fingers touched his chin as he fell into thought, calmly analyzing the exchange. He had pushed his control to the limit and was only able to deflect six attacks. Although that was already progress in itself, as this training session was simply to successfully create the Directional Gravity Shift, which he had already accomplished, the weight of the attacks didn’t matter for now, as with increased proficiency, he could theoretically even shift the orbit of a planet if he reached a high enough level.
Asher imdiately abandoned his focus on weight and shifted into variations for the mont. He sent a command to the clone, which simply nodded before snapping its fingers, and around Asher, thirty sword lights ford in midair, surrounding him from every angle, each one pointed directly at him with gleaming golden edges that reflected coldly in his eyes.
But without hesitation, they tore forward, their speed slow in Asher’s perception, their weight normal, as he wasn’t training weight at the mont but rather complexity and multitasking.
The next mont, Astra energy flowed through his Astra veins at his command, warm and steady, and with a single thought, space bent to his control as he began to shift the directions of the incoming attacks, but he didn’t just shift them, this ti, he manipulated the spatial paths themselves, making two different sword lights collide into one another with deliberate precision.
The first one collided with the sixth one, the tenth one collided with the eighth one, and so on. All around him, explosions rang out in rapid succession as he directed each attack towards another, the chamber lighting up with bursts of light like a chain of fireworks.
At this mont, he wasn’t rely shifting an attack to the left or to the right, he was calmly manipulating them, multiple at a ti from different directions with effortless control. With this thod, his proficiency could rise faster, forcing his brain to process several spatial vectors simultaneously.
The remaining five Light swords tore in, but before the mont they reached a one-ter range around him, they froze midair as though ti itself had stopped, yet Asher had only manipulated space to immobilize the attacks, locking their coordinates in place, then with another thought, space hardened around them and they shattered with ease, breaking apart like brittle glass.
Asher closed his eyes for a mont as he replayed everything that had happened throughout the training in his mind, analyzing each movent and decision as though searching for any errors he could correct before they beca habits. But there were none, he was just as talented and monstrous as usual, his growth steady and terrifying.
With that part of the training done and achieved, Asher imdiately shifted his focus to Spatial Shift, this was one of the first applications he had achieved under the Space elent, but he could only shift parts of his body at a ti, never the whole.
With that, he dove into training to shift his full body this ti around, and ti blurred forward as Asher imrsed himself in nothing but training and space, the outside world fading away until nothing existed except him and the quiet distortion of reality bending under his will.
