Chapter 476: Another Way To Lose Points [Bonus Chapter]

Before long, Asher’s three hours vanished once again right before his very eyes, the door to the basic lightning training chamber hissing open as its chanisms disengaged. Without hesitation, and with a quiet sigh escaping his lips, he headed toward the exit with light, asured steps, his mind occupied by everything that had happened over the past eight hours.

He had spent two full hours on normal cultivation, followed by another six hours dedicated entirely to lightning training, pushing himself without restraint.

Within those eight hours alone, his combat strength had skyrocketed to an almost insane degree. The thought alone was enough to draw a faint smile to his face, one that lingered for a mont before fading as his focus returned to the present.

’What is the ti, system?’ Asher asked his ever-loyal clock.

[5:37 p.m, Host]

The chanical voice of the system echoed calmly within his mind. Asher simply nodded in response. He still had roughly five more hours of training left before he planned to return to his room. It wasn’t as though the Star Academy imposed any ti restrictions on the Training Facility building; rather, this was simply a matter of discipline and proper ti managent on his part.

He would train for a few more hours here, return to his room by 11 pm, eat, freshen up, and then imdiately begin his proficiency training over his two advanced lightning application. After that, he would cultivate once more, aiming to break through into the Swiftstar Life Rank. The best part of it all was that he could remain awake until very late into the night, as both his body and mind required only about four hours of sleep to recover fully and return to peak condition.

Yet another thought soon occurred to Asher, causing his brows to knit slightly. He rembered reading in the Star Academy rulebook that skipping compulsory classes warranted point fines. The worst part was that these fines were entirely at the discretion of the instructor’s mood; they could decide to fine a thousand points, or rely one point, if they so wished.

Previously, he hadn’t been fined for the classes he missed, as he had been on back-to-back missions. Now, however, he knew that starting tomorrow, he would be fined whenever he skipped any compulsory class.

’Great, another way to lose my hard-earned points,’ Asher sighed internally at the thought. He already possessed Perfect Astral Control and was actively developing various applications as the day went by, so there was little need for Instructor lissa’s class. Then there was Instructor Jane’s class, which focused on weapon mastery, another area he felt he no longer needed structured guidance in. Lastly, there was the hand-to-hand combat class.

From now on, missing these three classes would steadily drain his points.

’At least these three classes aren’t held every day. If they were, I’d go broke before I even finished my training,’ he mused silently as he continued walking down the hallway.

’Still, I’ll be monitoring my point balance closely to see how much each instructor decides to fine ,’ he thought. He hoped they would all charge him a single point at most. That hope wasn’t unfounded; it was based on the talent he had displayed consistently over the past month in their classes.

Asher was never one to hide his talent, only his trump cards. During his ti in class, he had left every instructor in awe at the speed at which he learned and adapted. Because of that, he hoped they would show him so leniency.

’Or... they might think I’ve grown arrogant and that I’m squandering my talent,’ another possibility surfaced in his mind. ’In that case, they might impose heavy fines just to force

to attend.’

He shook his head slightly.

’That’s enough thinking about them. What elent should I train next? Space, or Gravity?’ he pondered. He couldn’t decide at the mont, but he knew that once he finished refining his four elents, he would shift his focus toward creating his rapier techniques.

The very next mont, his stomach rumbled loudly, pulling his attention away from his thoughts. Asher frowned slightly. He had eaten before coming to the Training Facility building, yet he was already hungry after just a little over eight hours. Still, it made sense. He had pushed his body hard for the past five hours straight; hunger was only natural. After all, the body ran on energy.

Asher had no intention of wasting ti by returning to the cafeteria. Instead, he stopped at a quiet corner along the hallway. With a thought, he took out a table and chair from his space ring, then retrieved food from his system inventory.

With everything set, he imdiately began eating. There was no one else in the hallway, so he didn’t need to worry about soone passing by and witnessing his actions. He ate in silence, focused and efficient, and once he was done, he cleared away the table and plates before continuing toward the receptionist’s desk.

Upon reaching it, he stared at her briefly before she spoke. "Back again?" she asked.

Asher simply nodded, not uttering a single word, his expression calm and unreadable.

"Hoo... you aren’t ignoring

this ti? What a miracle. So, what progress did you achieve in your training?" she asked with a smile. She had already guessed that Asher had made so kind of progress; otherwise, he wouldn’t have ignored her earlier.

’She talks way too much...’ Asher thought to himself. ’Maybe this is just the effect of boredom. After all, she’s the only one managing this entire building by herself.’ He wasn’t much of a talker to begin with, let alone soone who enjoyed chatting with people he wasn’t close to.

"I want to pay for the basic Gravity training chamber," Asher stated flatly, his expression unchanged as he went straight to the point, completely ignoring her question.

The receptionist sighed before replying, "That would be a thousand points for every half hour."

"I know," Asher replied as he took out his card.

"I know you know," the receptionist intoned as she took the card and swiped it against a glowing orb. She didn’t bother asking how long he planned to stay. She had already guessed he would be spending three hours there, and she was correct, Asher did indeed intend to train his Gravity elent for three full hours.

As for what exactly he planned to do during that ti, he already had several ideas in mind, just as he always did.
