Qiao Rui hadn’t expected Pei Liyan to drag her into the room.

But having just the two of them in one room created an eerily bizarre atmosphere.

She didn’t speak, just turned her head to look at the tall man behind her, waiting for him to speak.

Pei Liyan’s gaze was deep as he looked at her, his eyes practically spewing fire.

Qiao Rui found it strange. Why was he angry? It wasn’t like she had thrown the water.

"Do you have any idea what it ans to be Mrs. Pei?" Pei Liyan asked coldly.

"Pfft!" Qiao Rui sighed, "You were sitting right next to my older sister. I think you two are a perfect match, it doesn’t matter to whether I act conscious of it or not."

"Ha!" Pei Liyan scoffed coldly, "So you just keep your distance."

"That’s not it. I tried to squeeze over, but there was no room left to sit. What, was I supposed to sit on your lap?" Qiao Rui retorted.

Pei Liyan snorted, "Sitting on my lap? In your dreams."

"Exactly, you think it’s impossible too, so why would I even bother?" Qiao Rui chuckled, her eyes particularly bright and almost captivating.

Pei Liyan couldn’t help but take an extra glance at Qiao Rui.

Through the glasses, it was unclear.

His gaze hardened, and Qiao Rui stiffened imdiately, realizing she now looked like a country bumpkin.

She lowered her long eyelashes, refusing to et Pei Liyan’s gaze.

Pei Liyan slightly furrowed his brows, speaking displeased, "Hurry and find a towel or so tissue to wipe my clothes."

"None here!" Qiao Rui looked around helplessly, "Look around this room, there’s squat."

Hearing such crude language, Pei Liyan’s brows imdiately furrowed.

He looked around and found the room bare, devoid even of bedding, just a bare bed; absolutely nothing clean.

But Qiao Rui’s words left him speechless.

"So what are we then?"

"Obviously squat!" Qiao Rui declared frankly. "Oh, I an, never mind, I didn’t an anything."

Pei Liyan frowned unhappily, "Can you not always have ’that word’ on your lips?"

"Does Mr. Pei never fart?" Qiao Rui looked at Pei Liyan, "It’s just a word, isn’t it?"

Pei Liyan felt a headache coming on; she really was a country girl with no one to teach her manners.

"Qiao Rui, you are the sixth young Miss of the Qiao Family."

Qiao Rui burst into laughter, as if mocking Pei Liyan.

"What’s so funny?" Pei Liyan was perplexed by her laughter.

"Laughing at your naivety." Qiao Rui spread her arms, "Have you ever seen such a poor mber of the Qiao Family? There’s not even a towel here, let alone tissues. So, Mr. Pei, you’ll just have to stay wet. If you really can’t stand it, why don’t you visit my sisters’ rooms?"

Pei Liyan scowled. "Why should I go to them?"

"My sisters will surely take good care of you, maybe even warm your bed for you!"

"Shut up," Pei Liyan shouted sternly.

Qiao Rui pouted, dismissively. "Don’t believe ? Want to bet?"

"You go help dry my clothes!" Pei Liyan said sternly. "The Qiao Family must have a washing machine with a dryer function, right?"

Qiao Rui shook her head. "Not sure, let call my older sister!"

"Don’t call," Pei Liyan said coldly. "You go find the dryer and co right back."

"Oh, fine then!" Qiao Rui’s tone was visibly reluctant.

"Stop!" Pei Liyan ordered. "Don’t go!"

He had a feeling that if Qiao Rui went out, she’d definitely stand him up.

For prudence, he’d better keep her here.

"Why are you stopping now?" Qiao Rui found this man to be extrely fickle.

"Go check the bathroom for tissues," Pei Liyan ordered.

Qiao Rui didn’t move.

A glint passed through Pei Liyan’s dark eyes as he stared at her, making her reluctantly head to the bathroom.

In the end, she managed to find half a roll of toilet paper.

Qiao Rui ca out and handed it to Pei Liyan.

He didn’t take it.

Qiao Rui paused, looking up at him, "Don’t you need the tissues?"

"You help wipe!" Pei Liyan said.

Qiao Rui: "...."

A torrent of words in her heart turned into two: Damn it.

She reluctantly took the tissue and knelt to wipe his trousers.

As she wiped, she felt the trousers were wet, significantly dampened by the splash.

The tea Qiao Xiang had thrown had sure been vigorous,

But this position was incredibly awkward.

As soon as Qiao Rui’s tissue touched the fabric, she felt it.

Moving any further would touch a rather delicate area.

She hesitated and said, "Mr. Pei, perhaps you should do it yourself!"

"You do it!" Pei Liyan insisted.

Qiao Rui gritted her teeth, "This is a tricky spot, if I accidentally offend you, don’t bla for taking advantage!"

Pei Liyan was startled, looking down at his pants, recognizing the potential issue.

He glanced at Qiao Rui, clearly trying to disassociate himself.

That didn’t make sense.

His expression darkened, "You do it!"

Qiao Rui cursed under her breath, her hand trembling slightly as she touched where she shouldn’t have.

"Shit!" Pei Liyan actually reacted to her touch.

And Pei Liyan felt like his heart had been brushed lightly by a feather, tingling slightly.

The next second, his gaze deepened as he looked down at Qiao Rui.

Qiao Rui, originally playing a prank, hadn’t expected to witness such a scene.

Embarrassed, she looked up, eting his gaze head-on.

It was as if she’d been caught red-handed, imdiately flustered. "Um, why don’t you just take off your pants and I’ll help you wipe?"

After saying this, Qiao Rui also paused, wishing she could bite off her own tongue.

That’s not what she ant.

But Pei Liyan, with half-closed eyes, clearly misunderstood.

He sneered, "So you really want a piece of ?"

At this point, denying it would probably be futile.

She decided to just go for it.

Her reputation was already in ruins, what more was there to lose?

She tugged at her lips, "Wasn’t it Mr. Pei who invited to ’have a piece’?"

"Are you blaming now?" Pei Liyan retorted.

Qiao Rui’s face flushed slightly, "Bla my sister, then. Why not go to her room? She has a dryer and everything."

Hearing this, Pei Liyan suddenly grasped Qiao Rui’s chin firmly.

He compelled her to face him.

Behind the spectacles, Qiao Rui’s eyes flickered, avoiding his gaze.

But he seed unwilling to let it go without catching her eye.

Qiao Rui had no choice but to look at him. "Since you don’t want to go and don’t want to take advantage, what do you suggest?"

Pei Liyan scoffed, "Qiao Rui, I’ve started to find you a bit strange."

Qiao Rui was taken aback, a trace of panic flashing across her eyes. "How am I strange?"

Pei Liyan suddenly let her go.

He spoke with a half-smile, "I find your suggestion quite good, it would be more convenient to take it off and wipe it off!"
